  1. I would trade a day wakeboarding/skiing on my 23' Malibu for some kiting instruction. Angie, that was you I met at Killington? I hang with my kids there on weekends. Longboarding also an option. It's all good!
  2. I have been riding Killington every weekend for the past 3 years and while I would like to try a new place, I think Kmart is the better location for ECES. - Housing options- Killington area has thousands or rooms available at all price ranges during the week, though none with Maria Von Trapp :( - Nightlife- Best in the East- probably some good bands if it's in March- Bacardi girls were here this past week - Trails- There are wide carving trails from Blues: BunnyBuster, Rime, Reason etc. Blacks: Skyburst, Wildfire and Double Blacks: Double Dipper, Superstar and OL. - Other factors- Kmart has a good Demo Tent area, Bar overlooking it. Sometimes you get to see Vin from Out-of-Bounds ripping up the trails early morning. The area will be under new management by then (Powdr from Park City) so there should be some improvments to the area. Mid week crowds are not there. Even most weekends it is ride on to the lifts. 5 min wait max- depending on where you go. The skiers that are there midweek are good skiers. The beginners stay on the lower mountains. I have been going to Killington since the mid 60's so I've obviously learned to suppress my morals. ;)
  3. Thanks for the pics Fin, and for the deal. You guys must do it for the love of the sport
  4. We're having an arguement in the office here about cant disks. Some say they are milled, others say cast and some say extruded then milled. I think they are probably cast. Otherwise how could you sell them for $29? The answer is.....?
  5. If there is a lot of snow, you will clip out and then sink to your waist. By the time you get out, you'll be a sweaty mess. I was hoping nobody was watching
  6. Should be good. They just got more snow last night. I rode there on Friday, they got 2-3" which they really needed. King-Con chair is good, lots of carvable blues, stay away from the front side , too crowded Motherlode chair is uncrowded but slow. Thaynes lift is a crowded double that clears out around 1. Terrain was good but the Resort sucks. Maybe I just haven't found the ways around having to pay for EVERYTHING. Enjoy
  7. I'm packing boards today :) for Utah and am wondering if there has been no new snow in the last few days and none forecast for the week, is there any reason to bring a powder board? Osin 4807? I'm bringing a coiler all mtn and the choice is either a Donek FRII or the OSin. Thanks for any help
  8. You know whenever you carve past a group like this they will all get up and straight-line it down on all sides. Ruins a good run It's amazing the speeds they can get even on their string cheese bases :D
  9. Even if it is my wife's birthday Maybe a day for the OSin 4807 Also bringing a Prior World Cup 185 For Sale - Glenn has first dibs I'm not man enough for it
  10. Probably right All that is written on them is AF other numbers rubbed off Anyway, good boot.
  11. These boots are still in good shape. Used them 1 year but they are too big. I tried thermo-flow liners but they can't help that problem Liners included , heated once. $75
  12. I FINALLY got my Madd 158 this year and have to say it is my favorite board. I have the F3 and it does have more camber than the board I demoed at Okemo. I don't find that I have to be as much "on the nose" of this board as on last year's model. Seems more forgiving. One thing I am still not impressed with it the overall quality of the board. I have one spinning T-nut and even though I chased the threads with a bottoming tap (VERY necessary) one screw engagement seems iffy. There are voids between the edge and board especially at the bottom. Top sheet- factory second. I am skeptical on the holding power of the brass inserts with my weight and forces on this board. Still, I love the ride, since it took me 2+ years to get it, I'll ride it till it dies. Maybe Mike will have a real product by then, or Coiler could find this recipe
  13. I'm looking for some riders tomorrow. Free of the kids and wife for a day. Looks like a day for the All Mountain or maybe the OSin 4708? Already 12" and still coming :D
  14. Although with these graphics Fin could sell a lot more sticker kits :o Just need to be bigger stickers
  15. Shred: A QE? Ever consider Boston as a base? We need a reliability engineer Scott

    Interested Sold? What's the cost?
  17. For a starter kite, I've seen where some people say to use a 2 line before going to 4/5 lines. What's best for learning? scott
  18. I got rained out at Killington yesterday. Sunday River reports 3-4" wet snow. Anyone tried NH today? How bad is it?
  19. Thanks Chubz, A training kite sounds the way to go. I thought Madd Mike gave free intro lessons in my area, but his website doesn't mention it anymore. It may be some money to get into it but I could always sell my gas-guzzling Malibu.
  20. Sunday is Pico's last day. I will be there probably Saturday. Look for me on a Donek with a bunch of kids following trying to carve on skis. Killington is better on Sundays. It is a party crowd there and after partying all night, most don't wake up and show at the mountain until 11. I like superstar and ovation. Not too crowded especially when the powder is off and there is styrofoam left to carve.
  21. I was checking out equipment for Kite surfing for this summer and I came across kite snowboarding. Interesting... Has anyone ever tried this? Can it be done carving or strictly freeride? If the wind picks you up, up , up... how painful is the landing. I know how it feels wakeboarding, water gets hard above 25mph.

    Are those Thermoflex liners?
  23. I am looking for a pair of 29/30 boots. They will need to be blown out on the sides, really wide feet. Which boots have enough meat in the shell to do this, Head or Deelux. With Thermo's would a measured size of 29.5 go to a 30 or a 29? Thanks

    Madd Trade

Ken, I'm gonna have to pass on the deal. I tried the 158 yesterday and know now why you want one. I got an email from Shaggy who said mine is still in production in Italy. Maybe they can make one for you if they stay in business. Good luck Scott
