all I can say is that it does not have a carbon butterfly, at least not the usual topsheet.

I do a lot of slalom skateboarding, and personally, I like to do things on a snowboard that you cant on a skate. I like to really dig the edge in and lean over and feel the G`s. You can get that kind of grip from a skateboard. On the other hand, you cant go edge to edge as fast on a snowboard as you can on a slalom skate. I find myself getting disappointed at how long the turn transfers take when im trying to do the HULA style compared to my Pavel skateboards. There are lots of parallels between the two though. Also Gecko makes a good point about DH, I think that helps a lot mentally.

being a hazard(as per desc) is my carving goal. Although I am trying to get low in the turns. I dont so much feel the need to use the whole trail width, but I certainly aim for the 190 deg turns you mentioned. I love shooting uphill onto that downhill edge, even more fun if you try and spring off the tail.

I remember you as mr turner slalom a few years back. I took a lot of tips and inspiration from you early on in the gathering days. Slalom Skating is still fun! But I think I have more fun on a skinny alpine too!.

It has too! There are too many series that have stayed on too long and lost the plot. 5 years is a good span, it leaves us with (hopefully) a good taste in our mouths. But yeah, I love the show. Kara is a cylon.

I learned in ski boots, tricky for the first few days, but you learn quickly to be sure. However, I didnt realize how much better proper boots could be until I bought some for my 2nd season a couple years ago.

Hey Karl! Sorry to hear that you hurt your leg again. But welcome to the world of alpine. As you know, Im a formerly fast slalom racer, and I a relative noob to alpine. There are many similarities to be sure, but try and approach the snow without think to much like a slalom racer, these boards seem to take a year to turn compared to a little ts board. Sorry Im too late and missed the boat.
