  1. its all about bones swiss! Ive been racing on there for a few years and they seem faster and stay faster than most bearings out there. Im really interested in trying out Rons new bearings eventually. Check out some of these boards while your surfing too!. www.pavel-skates.com
  2. sorry to hijack xxguitarist, do you frequent any of the many longboard/slalom message boards that are out there?
  3. with those cheapy wheels you are really going to get what you pay for. Dont waste your time. Something from abec 11, seismic or Krypto will all perform better and last longer in most situations. There are tons of options out there. if you want a fun carving wheel that grips really nicely look into seismic hotspots in 80a duro(the white ones). Or retro zigzags in 78a duro from abec11.com.
  4. use it on the grass, and you wont fall far, its rally just a step off. If you set it low, you can have so the line is only about a foot from the ground when you are on it in the middle. maybe 3-4 feet at the tree.
  5. it WILL improve your balance, but most impotantly, it will make you keenly aware of the location of each of your limbs at all times. Thats the most important benfit from my perspective, and the muscle toning and strengthening are just an added bonus. I cant begin to explain how useful I think it is. Thats what I use it to train for, thats an old clip but it shows the arm movement used, and its very similar when on the slackline.
  6. slackline is awesome cross training. I use it for slalom skateboard training aswell. Super good for core stability and balance.
  7. did you go, if so, what were the conditions like?
  8. I think the top one looks way beeter to me. Extreme carving only looks cool in video form.
  9. pretty sure the tour is on hold for the moment anyway. Danny Carey tore his Bicep. Not sure about when it is geting rebooked.
  10. I did 30 runs at my home mountain last week in about 4 hrs. Its just over 500 ft of verticle. I could have done more in terms of endurance, but I needed to beat traffic home. Gotta go for 50 next.
  11. how much was it to ship? Im just curious.
  12. winter redeemed itself!! awesome conditions since january.
  13. Ben, you out there? Get any good video? This is mike, the one with the same Burton board. Hope you find this.
  14. they are fun, but not practical unless you have a lift on your street. They are too heavy and dont provide a feeling of real control. Id much rather have a skateboard.
  15. I ride up in Barrie mostly, and they have been getting HAMMERED by snow this month. Last week they got 3 feet, this week, who knows, but there is a Massive storm on the way right now.
  16. I am loving this board, it does everything. We had 6 in of fresh stuff yesterday and it was THE stick for it. Super nice float(once I moved to the back inserts), and tight carves!!! I havent tried it on icy hardpack(thankfully you cant find that at my hill if you try), but it carves really well on the groomers. I cant push it as hard in a carve as my burton 173 fp, but its not a race board. Im totally happy with how this thing rides!. Just thought id let you all know, Prior ATV is the ****.
  17. Ill be there this weekend, they have been getting tons of snow up there! Conditions have been amazing.
  18. I have a prior atv on the way and i am wondering how to set it up. Currently I am riding a Burton FP 173 with and 18 cm waist and catek os2 and 323 boots. I have a set of older plastic burton race plates that came with the FP as extra binding. I also have a set of stiffer flow bindings that I could use. So, what should I use on which board? I am thinking the cateks will stay on the FP for the morning groom, and I will use the race plates on the ATV for the afternoons and fresh snow days. What do you guys think? Im pretty new to alpine and have a long way to go before I am at all accomplished.
  19. Hey John, nice to see you on here!.
