  1. Shane, MVP of OES 2009! You were the man all week . You and Tim brought the Coos Bay style parking lot breakfast burritos to a unbeliveable level, throwing together a 36 egg skillet was amazing along with the oven baked cinnamon rolls. You also charged hard on the mtn and in the beer garden, you were everywhere...all of the time. Fortunately, you were the one to stop and care for our injured carving friend Max before ski patrol arrived. Best wishes to Max for a fast recovery. Carve on, Hugh
  2. Bryan, Thanks for setting the date and time. Chans has a huge menu, so it will be great to have you guide us through it... Hugh, Jim and Ron for Tuesday at 6pm!
  3. Shane & Tim, Keep stoking those morning fires, last year's carver parking didn't include open flames Driving north on Tuesday, --Hugh Today's news: Tuesday, February 24, 2009 Crash causes fire at business Police arrested a Coos Bay woman early this morning after a U-Haul truck she was driving crashed into the Coos Bay U-Haul lot and caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which was limited to the rear tires and cargo compartment, and pulled the driver, Kayla Goodrich, 20, out of the vehicle. The truck ran into two vehicles on the lot, 763 S. Broadway, around 3:30 a.m., causing significant damage, said Capt. Cal Mitts. Its engine continued to run and because the vehicle was still in gear, the rear wheels overheated and caught fire. Fire Chief Stan Gibson said the blaze was limited to the one vehicle, though an adjacent truck suffered some smoke and heat damage. Officers arrested Goodrich on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants. She was taken to the Coos County jail and released on citation. Nine firefighters and two engines responded to the accident. Tags » Coos Bay Crash U-Haul http://www.theworldlink.com/articles/2009/02/24/public_records/police_reports/doc49a443d03de4d905484662.txt

  6. Another rambling of split beer or the lack there of? Feedback is not all critical. Like offering suggestions, taking polls, contacting people directly with feedback is well and good. BUT, stating for the record that a SES package on demos, parties, etc. has gone down hill each year doesn't seem very consistant with all of the stoke that many carvers were floating on for the past two weeks following the end of SES 2009. Everyone is responsible for their own happiness and stoke and like already mentioned, you can not please everyone :D Expectations are resentments under construction Let the SES stoke continue to glow! :
  7. Ladia, I've been carving with you for quite a few years now, your speed on the hill and your dry humor just cracks me up to no end. Now I'm crying  Carve on, Hugh

  10. Sell off the 162 UP, it is way too small for you That Mav is a sweet board to hang onto: ride occasionally, hang on the wall or sell to me As far as new boards are concerned, a good friend of mine is riding a custom Coiler All Mountain - Metal (rounded tail) and that board carves as good or better than a Free Carve board (square tail). Metal is more expensive and at your weight it might not be needed. +1 for talking to Bruce at Coiler, Hugh
