  2. Face it, that core is jacked. If Precision can't get it flat, it won't happen. Either ride it with a keel or retire it.
  3. interesting, thanks for the link! too bad others have no respect and ARE turning this into "one of THOSE threads"'

we heard rumors that you were too busy attending knitters-anonymous meeting to ride so far this season! Ink, Tony and I will ride on Friday. Anticipating Ice, GeoffV, pcdenver and I on Saturday... Anticipating Ink, KarverKai, Concussed, Jim, Angie, GeoffV, big mario, Ice, Shelly and I on Sunday...
  12. SOLD I bought these bindings over a year ago and have yet to use them, so I might as well sell them. Here is the link to the thread where I bought the bindings. They are a size large, have Nidecker straps with the plastic highback. The original owner (not Dave Winters) modified the aluminum heel cups, so I bought new ones to return the bindings to the original condition. The size can be changed by purchasing new toe plates from Catek or possibly All Boards Sports. I'm looking to cover my expense. Selling for $300 plus shipping to the US and Canada only, sorry. I'll post current photos in the next day or two, but they are essentially the same. Photos:
  13. like Ink said, I'll be there Fri, Sat & Sun; the crew each day will vary. i recommend having access to a wider board in case we have a bunch of soft stuff to ride in... i/we will be upstairs in the lodge each morning at a table between the Wedge bar and the lockers. Or bottom of chair #1 at 8:30. i'll PM you with my cell number just in case...
  14. skip the iron and get a wax whizard... IMO - buy the pieces you want/need rather than a prepackaged kit

  16. from Coiler's website, if the board is a standard build, it has a 12m SCR
  17. My first thought is that the Tanker would perform better in the powder than the PROTOTYPE SS. Like Tom said, I think you would have to mount the binding all the way back on the SS. I personally prefer not to have to move bindings when conditions change. With my 192 Tanker, once I dialed in the binding position, I never changed it, no matter what the conditions were or where on the mountain I was riding. We are supposed to get a bunch of snow this week. If the conditions look right on Sunday, I'll try to get a direct comparison of the PROTOTYPE SS and Tanker.
  18. To be blunt, take a vacation and travel somewhere else where you can demo alpine gear. In the Denver area there are All Boards Sports and Bomber who have demo gear. Near SLC you have Hard Booter. Yes the availability of gear is an issue, but it's not going to change anytime soon. While having a company ship demo gear around the country to interested parties sounds like a good idea, the logistics would be a nightmare...
  19. I've had the opportunity to compare a prototype Superswede to my '03 Tanker 192cm (the white board) using softboots with flow bindings. The Superswede was definitely more carving oriented, while the Tanker was more versatile. Let me know, specifically, what question you have and I will do my best to provide more insight.

i'm there. i'll check with tony in a little bit.

    Yo Lci!!

hey barb, chair 2 is back to normal. i think the reason they changed things last years was because the valley was closed and they wanted to make life easier for newbies (rather than having to get off at the top of 2).

    Yo Lci!!

I planning to get up on Saturday; maybe I can drag that lame a$$ Tony with me...:D Shelly and I will definitely be there Sunday.
  23. All Boards Sport is still in business. If you want a fast response, call; otherwise it could take a few days for them to respond via e-mail I was in the shop 2 weeks ago. He had about 10 Dupraz of varying models and topsheets on the wall.
  24. since you are not concerned about $$$, ride as many boards as possible and buy the board that puts the biggest smile across your face. quit over-thinking the purchase!
