  1. Video is from second day in Aspen this past Feb 2022. I was fighting my setup. I was trying to setup a rhythm on a shallow pitch slope then move to steeper pitches. My lower back wont' let me crouch low so this is my style that I want to improve. Looking for insight to open up the rest of the mountain with confidence. You may have to change the settings to HD to improve the quality. Different topic. The video is from a recovered GoPr0 10 corrupted SD card using SanDisk recommended software purchased online. The second card needing recovery. Be wary of GoPro 10 file management. Don't view anything on the camera...download to computer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qo_g5ft8IDQ&t=46s
  2. Never tried td3 sw but I think they provide lateral flex. These won’t because the center is fixed…no opportunity to rotate around longitudinal axis. Tempted to make the drive to Bessemer based on the latest forecast…what’s 8hrs +/-?
  3. Modified Titanflex bindings with 10 mm center riser and orange Gecko pads. Definitely more feedback than the Titanflex foam pads but not enough time to determine if it attenuates chatter. Does not compromise the board flex (Thirst) like the full plates did.

  5. Looking for six (6) bumpers.
  6. $225 plus shipping. Lightly used boots with used liners.
  7. $325.00 plus shipping.
  8. Moved my bindings back to 1/2 position from rear most position and the board woke up. I may have not have had a balanced stance…both feet forward of their optimum spot. Now it feels like the board is laying along a rolling pin rocking edge to edge and I can feel the contact between my feet. Now I need to get off the snow smeared ice and onto some snow.
  9. Swap them front to back and see if the noise moves with the bindings.
  10. Simply based on the geometry of the board it will turn tighter when all other variables are the same. Problem is you probably won’t perceive a significant change because the sidecut radius change is nearly insignificant. If you want to bend your boards tighter using the same edge angle/technique, etc. go to a dive shop and buy a weight belt. Strapping 50lbs of lead around your waist will significantly bend the board more, all other things being equal. Flexed Board =f(board, rider, board/rider interaction with surface) Side cut difference is insignificant and nothing else changed Rider technique is same Surface is same So without changing technique you are limited to changing the rider input variables your mass.
  11. Now I confused. Should I increase the edge angle OR smoke a bowl?
  12. Tried a bunch of stuff. Was ending my toe side on the tail so I stopped feeding the board and tried to stay centered which helped. tried moving the bindings back but deadened the response. based on a previous post by johnasmo about standing and rotating your hips to see what your heels do I did this Went from 55/50 to 55/52.5 and it made a significant difference in craving and traversing in general. I think a big part of the issue was this.
  13. Yes. Thanks for the feedback and tips. I am riding a Thirst SF. I will give it a whirl today at WestB. Bob: I will give you your 5 but then it is game on.
  14. Toe-side tracks are consistent. Heel-side track breaks at halfway point consistently. Feels like I’m pushing the tail with back foot to tighten turn.
  15. Yes it was. Saw you leaving on the cat track while the afternoon shift arrived and tore it up until 2:30. Jacques on his Blizzard Bonafide’s and Patrick on his 1 day old Burton Deep Thinker.
  16. Any tentative ride schedule for the weekend 5th & 6th? I'm staying at Snowmass but heading to Buttermilk to avoid the weekend crowds at the other hills.
  17. Probably have 6 years on them. I was surprised to see the crack but did find a dished tee nut on another binding. Ordered front blocks from YZZ since Donek was out of inventory. Tee nuts from Donek. This is an expensive hobby. Heading to Aspen on Friday with two boards and one set of bindings. Wasn't loose.
  18. I did and found this on my rear binding when I moved the front block forward on my F2 Intec Titanium.
  19. For the price of a SkiCo lesson I think I’d rather buy another board.
  20. I expected this to be the top response AND it was the basis of my question to Nevin after watching the videos he posted. I makes sense to square yourself with the binding angles than the nose which would limit further additional reactional rotation. Thanks everyone for the feedback. With such limited amount of time on quality slopes time spent on discovery here leaves more time to quality ride there.
  21. Looking for a lead for an Instructor in Aspen. Feb 4th - Feb 8
  22. Going to be there 4th - 11th staying at Snowmass. I’ve hit a wall and would appreciate some constructive criticism to break thru.
