  1. Nice work! Winter is coming, it won't be long. Monarch (in Colorado) opened today, earliest since 1969!
  2. Great use for a fishing rod -- and what a beautiful board! I think that using the Fusion (or Rylo) with a longer pole like philw suggested would lessen the fish-eye... I'll bring an old fishing rod next time I go riding and try it out
  3. Great, so the process is pretty similar. I have to take out two SD cards (Fusion has one for each camera lens) and copy the contents to my laptop. I stitch the movies using their destop software (Fusion Studio), export 5K MP4 files. The export takes a long time and takes a ton on CPU -- my laptop becomes basically unresponsive for hours. Once that is done, I finish the montage in iMovie. For my amateur needs that seems to work well enough, but it is quite a long process... BTW, for me the follow-this software feature would have been the biggest selling point for Rylo over Fusion. The way you can "pan" the view while it's following the subject looked very cool. I'll try filming with a longer pole, too. tom.
  4. I just got a GoPro Fusion! Really liked philw's clip. I bought it because of the difficulty I had filming with my gopro, hard to keep the subject in the frame, and then stabilization was an issue too. The Fusion made it pretty simple to edit, and I was happy with the stabilization. I don't know anything about the cameras you're asking about -- for me the choice was between Fusion and Rylo, and I chose Fusion because it's more waterproof and was cheaper.
  5. I'm set -- thanks everyone for your replies!
  6. Thanks. My son is dabbling with hard boots, while splitting most of his time between skiing and softies. "Good" condition sounds plenty good enough ?
  7. Hi Wolf, could you please let me know what the liners are? If you could send a photo of the boots along, that'd be appreciated. Thanks!
  8. Hey Chris, do you still have the Mondo 26s for sale?
  9. Thanks, snowwjob1 -- sent you a PM.
  10. I decided to let go of the Burton Winds/Physics setup because I want my son to have a bit more flexibility in the bindings. Looking for size 26 boots with a DIN sole, so that he can use my Ibex TC Speed bindings. He's only 11, and growing quickly, so looking for something on the more economical side. Thanks, tom.
  11. Thanks, but that won't work. These boots have different toe and heel blocks (if that's the right word). I already have a set of step-in TC Speed bindings waiting for them ?
  12. I'm interested in the boots. Could you please send me a bigger photo? It's been ages since I bought boots (been riding same shells since 2005), so to clarify the size. Shells are 25.5 - 27 (which is what I'm looking for), and any ideas what size the liners are? Also, hard to tell from photo, no intec heels on those, right? Thanks, tom.
  13. SOLD. How do I delete this thread to keep things neat?
  14. I weighed 200lb + gear in the video above, so 210 should be OK. But check the flex with Algunderfoot...
  15. It's a beautiful hardboot carver -- I rode TD3 sidewinders on it, and the board is long and comparatively soft. It felt awesome.
  16. I'll be at Snowmass Thu-Sat -- will keep an eye on this thread, would like to join you all for some runs one of the mornings. I'll be on a family trip, but I can get away for a bit :) tom.
  17. Thanks, Ink! So much fun to see the kids stoked and having fun :) I overheard him yesterday telling a friend (who's a skier) about powder days -- how skiing is great and he loves carving on groomers, but on powder days, you gotta snowboard, it's just like surfing. There's future yet!
  18. Absolutely agree... Switching boards/gear/sports all improves balance and timing and more.
  19. Thanks for pointing this post out -- I somehow missed it! It's just what I'm looking for -- a bit bigger than what my son would use right now, growing in room, but not too much. I'll take it. Please let me know what the shipping would be. I'm in Colorado, zip code 81201. Thanks!
  20. Thank you, Québec man. I'm not really sure what I'm looking for -- wonder if the Speedster might be a bit too stiff... I'll hang on for a while longer to see if something else pops up.
  21. My son is enjoying snowboarding and carving more and more. I think we'll stick to softies and skiing this season, got enough going on. But I'd like to get him a hardboot setup for next year. Right now he's riding a 135cm board with size 6 boots. I'm guessing next year he'll be on same size board and just bigger boots. I'd like to buy something that's not TOO big, but has some growing-in room. Anybody got something they're looking to sell? Thanks, tom.
