  3. I was just a touch faster on this one. Just waiting for a shipping quote from Jim, and the $s will be on their way. Can't wait to do a direct comparison of the 177 Axis to my 177 Coiler AM... Mark
  4. Hey Larry, I sent a couple messages, I'm interested in the board. Please contact me at andersen_m (at) yahoo (dot) com Thanks!
  5. Sounds good. You'll have to let my try out the 210 at the same time... Remind me to pay my insurance premium and put my will together before letting me on that monster...
  6. Hey Bordy, thanks for the post. Can you give a bit more detail about core compression (what is this?) and why three hole pattern is better in this regard? My naive notion of "more is better" doesn't seem to be the case...:o Thanks. Mark
  7. Email sent. I'm very interested. Does it have a rounded tail? Thanks
  8. Thanks Kirk, never thought of the REI thing. Damn, possible freshies. I hate having to travel with lots of boards..
  9. Where should I go for discounted lift passes? Also, it looks like the Cottonwood resorts have more snow than the Park City side. Any local carve reports? I'm heading out there this weekend. Many Thanks! Mark
  10. Kent, you've certainly got more data samples in talking to the rep, but my wife and I have ridden Flows for 5 years with only one incident. I lost a highback screw one day. Replaced it and locktited everything, no more problems. Perhaps I maintain my gear better than most, but I think that if you pay attention, they can be problem free. What have you seen break? I'd like to have another close look at our sets to make sure I'm not missing anything. Thanks!
  11. You've got a brand new rustproof TI bike and a little rain and snow is going to keep you off the road? Here's bravery for you. October in Ireland. Not twenty minutes after this pic was taken we got drenched by the most amazing downpour I've ever seen. If just doesn't rain like that in California.:D Fantistic trip regardless of the wet. I can't remember having so much fun on a bike... Obligatory Flat Repair picture.
  12. Size 28 Raichle 225s. Very Good shape. With *new* race tongues (these are almost impossible to find these days). These also have the sought after "unstripable" race cant inserts. $75 shells alone, $150 with brand spanking new Thermoflex liners.
  13. Near new Raichle F One RC ski boots. Thermoflex liners have been cooked once. Sole length is 324mm. Soles show almost no wear. $140 Y'all know the liners are $125 alone...
  14. Nearly new Palmer Super Power Links (20mm version). Don't need em, bought Cateks. Moved to eBay
  15. I'm almost exactly your size and I ended up on 170s (Atomic C9). However, I ended up choosing more on sidecut radius (they are listed, you just gotta hunt). The first pair of skis I demoed were something like 22M and I couldn't turn them to save my life, and I used to ski on straight 195s before converting to snowboarding. I kept expecting the ski to carve under me like a snowboard and I'd fall to the inside of the turn. When I got on the Atomic C9s, they turned like I expected them to. The radius is 15 or 16M.
  16. Hey John, funny thing is that's where they are going in my setup... I'm trying to weight the benefits of AT boots which are better for climbing, and the Raichle 123s which probably flex a bit better and are INTEC compatible. If I go the AT route, they're yours. Mark
  17. Hey Lonerider, would you care to expand on the rules of the park? I don't know them and so I'm probably in the "dangerous to himself and others" category. I avoid rails and pipe, and do nothing but straight airs, but I can handle small-mid sized tables (20') on my alpine rig and a bit bigger when riding softies. Other than waiting in line at the drop and clearing the landing zone, is there anything else I should be watching for? Mark
  18. Hey John, I found these in a pair of way old Raichle 124s. They look like the standard cant adjuster, but instead of the toothed adjuster, they have a slider with an elastomer bumper. I've not ridden with them installed yet, but I imagine they will allow for a much softer side flex. I doubt they are available as replacement parts, but if you see an old pair of "pre-intec" 124 Raichles at a swap meet, you might get lucky...
  19. I've got a pair of Raichle 413s that didn't quite fit my wife (we went to 24s). They've been used one run (not joking) so they are basically brand new. I put on brand new toe and heel pads, so they really look unused. $125 shipped in the USA. I'll make the following modifications for free if you like. -Drill out and epoxy the cant adjusters. These might strip under an aggressive rider (or even a not so aggressive rider), so the common fix is to glue them in place. The process is a major pain in the a$$ (ask Ken Lao, aka kjl), but I've done it enough times that I've got it down. -Replace the single position "drink and drive" (walk/ride) lever with the 5 position adjustable version. I know these are only $150 at the Bomber store, but the upgrades would cost about $30 and my fixing the cants will save you major frustration down the road. Mark andersen (at) yahoo (dot) com
  20. Pat, the Silver Fork Lodge looks perfect. Nice B&B and close to the resorts. Many Thanks! Mark
  21. Any Salt Lake locals have any secret lodging tips? The wife and I have some airline tickets to use or lose before the holidays and we thought we would head to SLC for some of that fine early season snow you're getting. She's looking for something quaint and romantic (think fancy B&B); I'm looking for something close to the slopes (think camper van parked in the Snowbird lot). Perhaps there is something for both of us? :D We've been to both the Park City resorts and the Cottonwood resorts and prefer the latter. Something along the Wasatch front in Sandy or Midvale would be ideal. Many Thanks! Mark
  22. I agree, the fit was different from the SB/LeMans to the AF/Suzuka. I think the length was fairly similar, so size may be similar, but the shape of the boot didn't agree with my feet. I decided to stick with the SB style boots. That said, thermos might have solved all my problems, but I was more comfortable staying with what I knew. However, the OP said that the Raichles he has are killing him, so perhaps change is good in this case.
  23. I've got a pair of Raichle F-One ski boots that came with Thermoflex. They work fine.
  24. Was the board a demo or new when you bought it? Does it have the same specs as the current Prior website shows? Send some pictures to andersen_m@yahoo.com Thanks! Mark
