  1. UtahDeafCarver: I've been tempted to take the jigsaw to the swallowtail of my 4807. I was wondering how much ABS there is back there to work with. Did your cut end up going into the wood/core or just shaving out more of the ABS? Pics would be great!!! Mark
  2. Hey Hugh, it never seemed like we were gonna connect to get the exchange done. However, I'm doing the Kwood thing this season, so I'm sure we'll cross paths. It's been way too long since I've ridden with the TC crew. Let's do the trade as soon as we see snow at Kwood.
  3. Sorry, gotta charge something for the thermos. $25 for like new thermos seems pretty fair. If I can't sell them, I'll put them in my backcountry boots. My bc boots are a bit stanky... :(
  4. They've got a couple uses. First and foremost, they provide 12mm of lift to help softbooters keep their toes and heel out of the snow when carving hard. They act much like similar risers by Palmer and Volkl. A side benefit is that they can act as 4x4 <> 3d converters. You can bolt 4x4 bindings to a Burton board with out having to find the proper center disk...
  5. Donated to Fin's palatial "museum of carving". See them live in Summit County!
  6. Nobody wants free stuff? These are free and not yet ready for the landfill...
  7. I run 45/40 on 25cm freeride boards. Actually, that's a function of the toes/heels at the edge more than any specific angles target. I've got a 23cm Coiler coming that will likely require 50/45ish. I find that lower angles are a must for me off trail. My balance at 60* just isn't good enough to handle non-groomers.
  8. Zach, would that be a *split* Incline? I don't think the drop from 168 > 164 would warrant an intermediate step at 166. Doneks "feel" long due to the sidecut and stiffness anyway.
  9. Hey Scott. Cant is built into the base plate. 3* or so. No toe/heel lift. Looks like you're in the Bay Area. Price is lower if we arrange a meeting.
  10. Aside from color and logos, there is no difference between F2 and Proflex Freecarves; in fact they are the same company. F2 used the Proflex name for their bindings from about 1996 - 2001. Here is a link to the description of F2 Proflexes. 2002-2003 F2 Freecarves DISCLAIMER: I'm selling a pair of new-in-box Proflex Freecarves here Mark
  11. These are pretty beat. Probably best used for parts as one to the heels is pretty chewed up. Not sure it would hold a bail. Standard liners are pretty beat, but don't stink or have any tears. Shortie thermos are in excellent shape. Size 28. Molded once. $25 for the thermos.
  12. Board is in perfect shape except for a few topsheet scratches on the tail. Race tune from Granite Chief in Truckee. Ridden three hours. 15. Hey Zach, what's up? One of these days I'm going to have to loan you a real carving board and spend some time carving with some of the folks from TahoeCarvers. I'm not saying that it will replace pow lines on Tallac or anything, but on a sunny day in a dry spell, carving up weekday cord can be damn fun. Try it some time, you just might like it. Contrary to popular stereotypes, you don't have to wear a neon romper suit. ;) Where's splitfest going to be this year? Mark
  16. It's very orange. Mine's from '02 (before the new more durable topsheet) so maybe that has changed the color slightly. Orange is cool. :D
