  1. I agree, get one that fits well above all esle. If it isn't comfortable, you won't wear it. Also, take you're goggles with you when you try them on. I bought a helmet that didn't fit well with my goggles and ended up buying new goggles as well.
  2. I've got the 177AM and find it a bit long in the wet afternoon slop we get often in Tahoe. I usually end up bolting the TDs to my Volkl Cross after lunch for a bit of freeriding.
  3. Still looking... Fin, get those CNC mills humming!:)
  4. Not sure how much difference there is from the liner persepctive. If I don't get any other options, I'll give the 600s a shot. Thanks Cliff. Mark
  5. Looking for some replacement standard liners for Raichles. Anyone out there upgrade to Thermos and have a pair of standards leftover? Need size 28 or 28.5. Many thanks!
  6. Hey Mirror: I want the race plates. Where can I send the $s? Mark andersen_m at yahoo dot com
  7. Reliable and Startingate have 3hole in stock, but only will the full binding set, not individually. If anyone finds out different, please let me know... Mark
  8. Nobody? Please, don't make me resort to buying a pair of burton race plates!
  9. D-Rail If you've got a set of race plates to sell, I'm interested. I need a pair for a loaner for guys with skiboots... Mark
  10. I need a set of 3-hole TD2 mounting disks. Anyone out there with a spare set? Will pay retail + shipping. Mark
  11. What do you all do when you take 2 or more boards with you when you go carving?
  12. You can ride the local buses to the Prior Factory. Alternatively FanatyCo in the village used to carry and demo Prior Freecarvers. Showcase (also in the Village) used to have Freeride Demos.
  13. Hi All: Any ladies attending SES? I'm trying to get my wife to come along, but I think she'd be a bit intimidated if it's all guys. Also, any instructors going to be available? She got her first pair of hardboots, but we've had so much powder in Tahoe this season, they've not been used. I'd love for her to start off with a good lesson so I don't teach her all my bad habits. Thanks! Mark
  14. Hey Fin, just finished drooling over the new TI version of the Bishop. Any plans for TI hardware options on the TD2s? It looks like the bails could be the same shape... Mark
  15. Sean at Donek recommends using a 1/4" fine thread (28tpi) instead of 20tpi. Something about being closer to the original 1mm (25.4tpi) threads and getting more thread engagement. There's instructions on the Donek website somewhere...
  16. FREE size 23.5 boot liners. Does your girlfriend need new liners for her hard boots (or soft boots for that matter)? $6 shipping is all it takes! I don't want these to be landfill... Mark
  17. Long plates. Standard version. 3d/4x4 discs. Used 4 days. Perfect condition. $190 includes shipping. Pics available via email. Mark
  18. No comment on sizing, but you should be aware that those boots are pre-INTEC raichles. This will not be an issue if you're using standard bindings, but if you want INTEC stepins, those aren't the boots for you... Mark
  19. I tore my labrum in my right shoulder in Jan 99 while snowboarding. Torn from about 4 o'clock to 8 o'clock , so I had significant instability to verticle movements. When running down stairs, I could feel my humerus (upper arm bone) sliding south on each impact. I had immediate surgery to reattach, four consumable tacks. Recovery was long and relatively painful. After 4months I had about 70% movement, 1year about 90%, 2years 95%, and now 4 years later I'd say it's 98% of the good side. I stopped Physical Therapy after 4 months. I've never had another problem after the surgery. However, I don't do much other than snowboarding that puts me at risk. My warm weather passion is road cycling. Mark
  20. I heard the Darren Chalmers (former CDN national team?) was doing private lessons in Whistler. I tried to connect with him for a lesson but timing of my Whistler trip didn't work out. Email Prior Snowboards for his contact info. Mark
  21. Congrats Fin! It seems like your new bindings are a great success. You'd better get those CNC mills running quick! Glad I ordered fast! I rode the new bindings this weekend and have to say they are a brilliant improvement over an already great product. Thanks! Mark
  22. I know this had been published in the old forum, but I couldn't dig it out with a search. Anyone know the stiffness hierarchy by color? I've got three sets; Green --> Gold --> Red, from softest to stiffest. Thanks! Mark
  23. I'd size down a bit, depending on your foot shape. I measure out at about 29.0 - 29.5 depending on which foot I measure. I am in a pair of 28.0 225s with standard liners and am very pleased. You really can't go wrong by ordering both sizes from Fin and then returning those which do not fit. Just get the shells pretty close and let your bootfitter and the thermoflex liners do the rest!
