I saw the trailer on the "First Descent" bus that is touring around. It looks like good entertainment, but from what I gathered it lacks (proper) soul and is not true to what it claims to depict. It just felt like they were hyping up snowboarding, and extreme riding, and how good some professional riders are... all while also trying to explore or explain the roots of the sport... which are a fry cry (the roots) from how this movie promotes the sport. Rather than delve into the depths of why people snowboard, what is does for expression and individuality, or just plain fun, the trailer touched on these superficially and expanded how how "sick" the sport has become, and how the level of riding is increasing so greatly (which is true, but that doesn't mean thats what drove the creation of the first Snurfers, Backhills et al.) The trailer made the movie look like it was sold out, and while most likely appealing to the masses and fun to watch, as a documentary, I feel like it cannot begin to approach a video such as "Faster" (or the sequal). I could be wrong.

I am looking for a Donek or Coiler race board. I'd also look into a free carve board if the price was right... but I would prefer a race board. If you are trying to get rid of bindings (Catek or TD) something might be able to be arranged, although I don't need any bindings I could always use another pair. Board condition doesn't matter as long as it is reflected in the price. I'd prefer something a little used, a couple cosmetic issues aren't a big deal, but a board with good life left. I was going to Okemo today and decided to check bomber to see if anyone else was going to be there, and I found out the ECES equivalent was! Sweet! See you guys up there today hopefully.

That two planker is (at least part/most of the time) my friend Chris! Ski blades at the time, no less..... I even caught a couple seconds of myself in that vid up at Sunapee, sweet! Although I hope I look better carving now then I did then with ski boots.

Anyone know if the video shot on 2-11-04 of last year got edited and put on the net? I think someone had edited it into a video and was giving out cd's, or something along those lines. And someone was going to toss it on the net- anyone have an idea if it's available (and where)? Thanks
