  1. My brief communications with Klem indicate that this may just be for the season.
  2. 28 years making snowboards 29 years riding snowboards
  3. Most likely our AF plate. We're still doing some testing this fall on the new system before committing to the design.
  4. We see our F-plate (comparable to the VIST system) being used by males in Slalom and GS. Usually this style of plate is a racers first plate. As a racer progresses and develops his skills, he'll move onto a different style of plate for GS and keep the F-Plate for slalom.
  5. Define lighter weight. Vist style plates are used primarily by lighter racers and in a Slalom course by some of the men.
  6. That is the ultimate plan Shaggy. Curt has a new prototype he'll test in the fall.
  7. Thanks for coming guys. It was lots of fun. https://youtu.be/NFJ3pjIe52Y
  8. Here's a video teaser on the new plate we've been working on this spring. It's simplicity is super cool, yet the performance is phenomenal.
  9. To show our appreciation to everyone for all of this years fun and success, we would like to invite you to our annual end of year celebration! We will have food and (non alcoholic) drinks and lots of socializing! You are welcome to bring your own alcohol. As some of you know, we have had a pretty successful couple of seasons with some pretty EXCEPTIONALLY AWESOME and, in our book, famous people! This party just might be your chance to meet some of them. As always, we love to hear your ideas, insight and feedback, and as the saying holds true, "Putting a face with a name & snowboard is a smile waiting to happen!". We will be at the Beach space # 3. The Date is May 30. Put it on your calendar and come join us. Here's a peek at last years barbeque: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mAWSkllCTaw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  10. I already got down on one knee and thanked Michelle, wished her luck, and said good bye for now. I was serious, But this photo must be one of the first SES events. I see one of TBs old smiley face boards in the rack I think. Is that A-basin and did we really get to park the van on the hill???? Seriously. I don't know who will take care of me at future events. What's going to happen next time I loose my phone or forget my.... Thanks Michelle.
  11. This is totally legitimate. The original customer passed away shortly after receiving the gear. It is being sold by someone hired to sell off some of his belongings. The specs are: Model: Axxess Length: 177 Waist: 21.5cm Sidecut: 10-12m serial number 3697 This was a stock axxess that I believe was ridden once. The boiler plate was also purchased from us a few weeks before the board. It is the 4mm plate built in 2013. Thanks for your understanding with the seller and his family. The delay in their response has likely been because they have contacted me with your questions.
  12. I believe you did. But it's been a long time and me memory may be inaccurate.
  13. You bought a Donek custom made for the coach of a team called the US Pro Team. The board was most likely made in 1999 to 2000. If there is a spec tag on the topsheet, I might be able to give you more details. All I remember at this point is the graphic, not the board specs. I also recall that the board was reported stolen shortly after it was made, but I can't be 100% certain on that.
  14. Please keep me informed of it's status and performance. It was after all an experiment and I love data.
  15. We don't specifically, but if a customer asks about using hard boots on a freeride board, we steer them away from the phoenix or twin models. They are the only ones in the line that do not have the same structure around the binding inserts that our alpine/carve boards do. I would say that we do tend to significantly exceed the insert strength in comparison to other main stream brands.
  16. Is anyone still looking for a place for the Session. I usually rent a house in the Basalt Carbondale area or stay in a Hotel. I'd like to make the reservation this week, so if you are interested in going in on a house, Please give me an e-mail, call or post here. Sean Donek Snowboards
  17. You're getting way better results than my mendel max 1.5. A part that small is just wasted effort on my machine. I do not have the time right now to be fiddling with the darn thing. It seems to me that the technology is basically something with potential, but more of a paperweight that occupies way more time than necessary to create something usable. My cheap CNCmogul router is far more reliable and predictable than the printer and can create a structural and usable part in a fraction of the time. The screw, however, is beyond it's capabilities. I'm very curious about the new dremel machine, and HP claims to be releasing something that is currently 6 times faster than any machine currently available. Their release date is 2 years out though.
  18. I see the visual difference, but I don't see an explanation of it. How do I decide between these three: http://www.adafruit.com/products/1778 http://www.adafruit.com/products/1727 http://www.adafruit.com/products/269 And can I assume that 269 and 1778 do not require level shifting? And I don't understand why I need level shifting if I can switch my arduino board between 5 and 3.3 volts. Another question that comes to mind. If i mount a display shield, does that mean I can't use any of the pins it is using (which seems to be all of them) for other tasks? A million questions and there does not seem to be someone to answer my newb questions.
  19. I'll look at printing the bezel. I have a lot of type K thermocouple wire. Can I use that or do I need a thermister instead?
  20. for now, I've ordered this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J5NSOVA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  21. I considered them when searching, but felt the starter kit from sainsmart fit my initial needs better than any of theirs. The cables was the one thing I did not find on the sainsmart site. perhaps it's because I searched for wires. Any suggestions on what to search for in that dept.? How about an enclosure that fits that lcd?
  22. I wound up ordering a few things from sainsmart. I got this kit because it seem to include the relay and temp measurement hardware and some getting started tutorials on the subject. http://www.sainsmart.com/sainsmart-uno-r3-2-channel-5v-relay-starter-kit-with-17-basic-arduino-projects.html I purchased this display because I ultimately want to create a device with some adjustable features. http://www.sainsmart.com/sainsmart-mega2560-1602-lcd-keypad-shield-v3-for-arduino-uno-mega-r3-atmel-avr.html I also purchased this as well because it indicates that it makes it easier to connect accessories. http://www.sainsmart.com/sainsmart-sensor-shield-v4-module-for-arduino-duemilanove-uno-mega2560-atmel.html
