Staurday March 29, 2008 is earth hour day! What that means is that in hundreds of cities and households across the world the lights will be turned off for 1 hour from 8-9pm (your local time). The idea started in Australia in 2007 and for the 1 hour that the lights were out there was a reduction in energy consumption of over 10% , which is equivalent of taking 48,000 cars off the road! and this year cities around the world are are joining in as well. Read about the good you will do by turning out your lights for 1 hour here So for 1 hour tomorrow night from 8-9 turn off the lights! light a candle, look at the stars, or just relax in the dark... or well you can be creative with what you can do with the lights off! 1 hour is not too much. Even if your city isn't involved you can be. you don't need to sign up or do anything other than turn off the lights from 8-9! Hope you'll join in! Andrea

Hi Jeff Day, the cats are helping me type here so excuse any errors... For your deeulxe liners the manufacturer suggest 3 times, but i have seen people go beyond that! I do also wear orthodics and haven't asked about why you need to change them but 3-5 years is what my chiropractor and podiatrist say, and that time frame depends on how my back feels.... but with a basic answer, yes they do have a life span! Hope you are having fun!

Went out with my dad in Rhode Island a few years ago, we left dock at 5:30am and at about 5:45 i caught this guy.... then went to sleep on the cooler he was kept in! I wanted to throw him back but my dad and boat captain wouldn't hear of it! 33lbs and almost 4 feet long... and yes it is me even though my head is cut off! Striped bass, very tasty!

this thread for the first time and since a good chunk of the talk is about oil and i see some people from Montana... just a little plug for some good people in Missoula.... There is a new taxi company in Missoula called Green Taxi, they had to fight for a year to get a permit from PSC but they are up and running and only using hybrid cars and they don't drive around looking for fares and wasting gas, you have to call... so if anyone is in Missoula and needs a ride... call them!

So sorry to hear about your loss. My sister's dog Laird passed away this week as well. He was 10 and also had cancer. He was doing okay but just waited for a big snowfall and went and laid down under his favorite tree and died with my sis spooning with him. I have had and known a lot of incredible dogs in my life, but he was by far the best dog I have ever known and I never thought the last time I saw him (last year) would be the last time I saw him. It's so amazing how animals touch our lives in a way no human can. I am sadder when I lose an animal than when I have lost friends or family. That may seem harsh but there is a connection that we have with our animals that is so pure and so perfect, which is rare to have in a human to human realtionship. You are so fortunate you had so much time together! Here's a pic of him about 3 years ago, waiting patiently for my niece Alta to throw his frisbee!

That's amazing to take your little one out with you on the slopes, and i don't want to be that person getting in your business, but I just want to recommend a helmut for you too. Luca has one and while the hope is that there is a never a crash that you need it, doesn't it make sense for you to have one too so you can continue to rip it up with him for years to come, in the event that a crash happens? don't let this happen to you!
