  1. It's a typo... there is NO Silberpfeil 172W. We've pointed it out to F2 but maybe someone else could too.

Performance will also have new DeeLuxe boots in stock as they are also a dealer and have purchased equipment from us this season.

I'm quite surprised that the salesman told you that too. We're (www.yyzcanuck.com) the Canadian distributor for DeeLuxe alpine snowboard boots and La Boutique Sharks is a dealer for us. Yes, something is wrong... they do have boots, boards and bindings in stock. Please telephone them (450)663-5543 and ask for Michel (owner) and explain the situation to him. For sure, Sharks is THE place for hardboot equipment in the Montreal area.
  4. leave the cats out of it! they are much too nice to eat!
  5. some people can never admit that they are wrong!
  6. It's called "peameal bacon" (not sure if i spelled that right) in Canada. It's the same as Canadian Bacon aka ham, but has peameal around the edges. order that in Whistler and you won't be disappointed!
  7. HI Carverchick, every year there is an unofficial day designated as Ladies day, and if there isn't we all usually agree to hang out for a few hours.... riding with the ladies is great fun and none of us grumble too much that at least one or 2 stop every other run to pee! We all wait and chit chat nicely! Hope to see you there.
  8. Hey Derf, I see Performance Boardshop is on your list. If you want to add what they have... some F2 boards and bindings and some Suzuka boots. think they have some Cateks as well, but I'm not positive!
  9. they have F2 boards this year too!
  10. who stocks TD2s i just order a variety of the cant/lift disks with the bindings and then a few extras, so i make sure i have enough. After a bit you learn what sells best and order more of those next time... it's not too bad!
  11. Hi Derf, what shop in Montreal has F2 bindings?
  12. FYI Darren, in response to your quote: "On the customer service note: I never did receive a response from you regarding my buying a board from CK, so I figured that it wasn't worth the effort for you, which was fine with me. Would have liked, no, expected a response from you either way." I did respond to you. I would be happy to resend the email so you can see the original date if you would like. I don't care what you and Dave say to each other, but you just insulted me, since I am the one who answers all the emails, and I believe I have been nothing but helpful and professional with you. If you feel otherwise feel free to email me personally at andrea@yyzcanuck.com Andrea Morgan
  13. Hi Jules, you may be a bit disappointed in our hills here in Ontario... and they are hills, not mountains like you have in QC. Anyway, most carvers in the area head to a place called Mount St. Louis Moonstone... website is www.mslm.com (or maybe .ca??). it is a bit more than 30 minutes from Barrie but the best carving hill around. It will still be small compared to what you are used to but definitely some nice wide and fairly steep trails there. Hopefully we'll see you there! Andrea Morgan
  14. Just want to throw in my thank you to Fin and Michele and everyone who sponsored and particpated, it was a great week! I am sad i missed the group photo but maybe if you blow it up you'll see me off the right and back sitting in a wheelchair next to the ambulance! Anyway, great to see everyone again and meet new friends... can't wait to do it again next year! thanks, andrea morgan ps Diana, we are on for riding together early next year... maybe when it gets closer we should make a plan to meet somewhere so we make sure we can do it! take care of yourself!
  15. Hey Ladies, I like Aisling's idea of another one in Feb. or March. I like March personally. keep it in mind everyone and let's see if we can do it again....if not, i'm in next year! Have fun ladies, i'll be missing you! Andrea
  16. But Bob, i'm good this year! last year's footage should go in the "What you don't want to do" DVD! this year however, i am carving quite nicely on my new matrimonial Coiler!!!! i won't be at WES this year, sadly, but i promise i'll ride with you and jeff plenty at SES again this year, so we can have some good shots of me, not just those funny outakes! see you soon. have fun ladies and happy new year everyone! Andrea
  17. hey allee, alpinegirl offered to pick me up in albany if i came in that way, so send her an email and maybe you can work out the details... check earlier posts between her and i to see what the deal is... can i ask how much you are paying from calgary? i'm coming from toronto and being cheap, maybe i'll suck it up and just go!!!!
  18. jeff, you are a leg humper!!!!! who do you think you are fooling? hehehehehe... my winter hasn't even begun for me yet, dave went riding last weekend but i was in CT so nothing for me yet. we'll give it a try this weekend and hopefully more than 2 runs will be open! i'm excited to ride with you and bob at SES, let's make this a tradition ok? and you know, if you did some exercise or something in the off season you wouldn't hurt so much. as for the shin thing, i have a weird lower shin pain and bruce varsava told me it is all about the kant (cant? or however it's spelled!) of my back foot... tell me more about where the pain is and maybe this is the same thing... didn't we whine about this last season to each other? let's ask dave about it too, he may have some ideas... you know how those canadians are always crafty with the fix-it things! ok be good... and keep in touch! andrea
  19. thanks Jeff, how's your winter going? are coming out for ses?
  20. Hey anyone know how to find Todd Brown? i don't know his username and want to get in touch with him... please direct him to this thread if you know where to find him... oh and am i an idiot and can't find how to search for a member by name, or can i really not do this on the forum? thanks andrea morgan
  21. didn't mean to call you a beginner, wrong word... but don't worry about whatever your skill level is, this is just for fun and its so great to learn along with all the other women... and we all have things to learn, whether we think we do or not!!!! i have been riding hard boots for 6 years now and really only feel like i made some big improvements last year, and my biggest leap was at ECES last year which was our last big trip, so i definitely still have a ways to go... and all of my major improvements have been thanks to male teachers (my husband dave mostly, but Todd Brown, wherever you are, kicked my butt into laying down turns like i never thought i could)... maybe we can find todd and ask him to give some lessons, he is really good at making it simple and he understands how the female carver rides... i'll see if i can find his email here and see if he's willing. i'll ask him to contact you steph... still working on getting there...
  22. ok, here's my deal... i'm an american living in canada with my hubby and since i am not an official resident of canada yet i can't take his car across the border without him! he has planned to be away that week, but his plans can always change, so he may be able to come at the last minute... in the meantime i am checking out all my travel options and if i can find a cheap flight to albany i will definitely take you up on the ride offer b/c that will save me about $175... i'll let you know what i can find if you keep me posted about your plans... email me at davesgirl@mailblocks.com to figure stuff out.... do you also have place to stay yet? i haven't even looked yet b/c i'm not sure if can make it... i would be willing to share a room though if you need a roomie... as for skill level and embarssing yourself... i am guessing that it will be all different levels and that we are all there to make friends and learn from each other... it's not a competition so whatever your skill is you can only improve!!!! don't be shy, we're all friends here, and we have all been beginners at one time or another (some of us may be perpetually!!!)... so let's talk and thanks again for the offer, i may be able to do this...
  23. Hi ladies, just wondering who is coming so far? also, anyone coming from canada (ontario) and want some company in the car? i am most likely not going to be able to make it unless i can get a ride with someone or i can get a super cheap flight to albany... but it's not looking good so far... i may be a last minute joiner though if dave is available to drive down with me, but i won't know that until the last minute... steph i'll email you to discuss a few other possibilities... i'm assuming you guys were away this weekend when i called... how was the snow? andrea
  24. i'm all for stratton for the first or second week of jan. or blue mountain is good b/c its local, but it is usually so packed on weekends that we avoid it! steph make the plan based on what you know and the women will show!!! i know you all will, now that i have put my faith in you and have committed you!!!!
