I'm with you on that one, this group of people is nothing but helpfull. Just lookin for a good time on the slopes and they want to share it with everyone. I'm glad i found this forum, when i started using the alpine board i could have sworn i was one of the ten people in the world that did it. But hey all you guys are awesome and you put my riding technique to shame, so i'm gonna have to be gettin pointers from you all summer so i can look a little better next year. Thanks again, Knoch

OMG that would hurt SO much if you fell. Thos guys are wearing shorts how crazy are they? And seriously, it would be so easy to catch an edge and go tumbling( into the rocks), because i mean come on, them there are rocks, all it would take is one little rock with a pointy top to trip you up. Anyway, looks like its been done, i guess it can't be that bad, good idea.

hey now kent, i've found that my POS ride gets better gas millage at 85mph than posted limits.

Okay, so go find a giant really steap sand dune, take your crapiest board with you, hike to the top, strap it on, and go for a run. Sandboarding is the way to go. I've heard it's like riding in a heavy slush but hey, it'll just keep you in shape.Yeah i've never done it myself, but i just broke myself a board thats still in good enough shape to take through the sand, so i'll be all over it this summer.

ever been to michigan? seriously, i bring my ice skates along because one of these days i'm going to get the balls to prove that i really could ice skate down the hill because its so rock hard. and yeah when i was at sugarloaf, maine for the uscsa nationals race, they attempted to chop that stuff up and created the biggest death cookies i've ever seen.

oh man, chinese downhill=dangerous stuff, i've seen kids get really messed up playin that game, and yeah a few of the times that kid was me, but shoving people into the woods and running of with someones ski in your hand that you popped off their foot, man is that fun. oh and there are the enormous chinese downhill races, you know like 150+ people, watching those is great, a heard of skiers and snowboarders bombing a hill, wonder what would happen is just one person caught an edge, domino effect would take over. hahahaha good times, good times

racing is my escape from school work, i race with western michigan university, there was a total of 3 of us WMU kids at nationals in maine and we took 2nd as a team.

I'll be at boyne highlands, sorry can't make it up that far. Hopefully i'll find something to ride by then, broke my board last weekend.

broke mine last weekend and i loved it. if anyone has one laying around or knows someone who does, let me know. it was old, i'm not even sure what year and i've been trying to figure that out, but there is no trace of it anywhere.

rock on nate, i hadn't really thought about that phase where you sit there trying to remember how you got there and what day it was and all that. and now that you mention it, thats exactly what happened. then someone handed me a video camera, and said, since you are standing here by this jump doing nothing why dont you film for a while. i was like, duh, ok. so i just filmed, everything, i even forgot who i was supposed to be filming and whos camera it was, and then i forgot that i drove myself to the hill, i was like, how am i going to get home? it was great. i watched the video i took later, and damn that short term memory loss turned me into one heck of a camera man.

psh, end of the season, there's a good 3 weeks of boarding left to be done. I'll be at Crystal Mountain this weekend. Hope i see some more hardbooters there, but you might find me on skis if you go lookin at the wrong time.

Jenny, so you turned 21 huh? What year is your birthday again? Anyway, Nationals rocked, i can't wait for next the races to start again next season. Maybe you can make it to more of ours then, I'd like to see you in that speed suite more often. Keep in touch, let us all know if you're headin down these ways, so maybe if there is still snow left, we can all get together and rip it up. Rob

sugarloaf must have a thing for shoulders. I was there for the college national stuff going on during the past week and witnessed 3 different shoulder injuries, 2 of which happened right in front of me.

I had a bad fall once, but i don't remember it, imagine that. Funny thing is, i was at the bottom of the hill, people were telling me about exactly how it happened, and i didn't even remember leaving the top of the hill. I even forgot what they told me happened, and that anything happened at all until the next day when my buddys started talking about it again. I guess i hit a jump and just kind of slowly rotated until my head was the closest thing to the ground, and then i hit. But i'm still not sure.

I feel that ski boots work just fine. Sure i've only been using them for 2 seasons, and i've never used a pair of snowboard specific hard boots, but i keep up with those guys no problem.

Pat, whats that about? Is it about this coming weekend? I was at Crystal saterday the 21st and boyne mountain today the 22nd. Not too many hardbooters out there. Only spotted 1 each day. Oh well, next week its off to nationals.

Rock on. I can't wait. Don't you go and forget that damn sexy gs suit you got, that would be dissapointing.
