  1. If I only had one of these -- http://www.arcademare.com/play-8649-Rocket_Bicycle_150_MPH_Top_Speed.html
  2. Buy a car -- a nice one. Go with a BMW X5 -- not a volvo. MY 2 cents
  3. I would agree -- I tried several "wide" boards with my soft set up. I am a little smaller foot size that 15 thank god.. but anyway they are cumbersome and slow edge to edge just like Phil says. I finally settled on a wonderful soft set up in the Arbor Munoz 170 with a 25.4 waist... Rides great but still not as nice as a hard boot set up on a Prior 4X4 179. My 3 cents - adjusted for inflation and the fall of our US dollar.
  4. I wonder if they record your phone number from which you dialed to sell later? I would be cautious using my cell phone to do this.
  5. Any thing is possible since I do not believe the reading myself..RE: the stop light I do not think so since i stopped in an area that does not have a light, just a sign. I believe the computer had a "Windows Moment" and puked
  6. My previous best speed on my Serotta Legend was 42.7 MPH, tonight I go out with a tailwind going downhill of course and see what my "max" speed reads when I get to the bottom after pedaling as fast as I can. That is Michelins ProRace 2s I am running. I think the Cateye is wrong - there is no way I hit 62 mph - maybe 50. I will not try to beat that.
  7. WHAT DO DEER THINK? Ted Nugent, rock star and avid bow hunter from Michigan, was being interviewed by a French journalist and animal rights activist. The discussion came around to deer hunting. The journalist asked, 'What do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before you shoot him? Is it, 'Are you my friend?' or is it 'Are you the one who killed my brother?' Nugent replied, 'Deer aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, 'What am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the French.' The interview ended at that point.
  8. Ok then -- how about cup holder on my snowboard?
  9. Shopping today at Costco and thought would it not be nice to have cup holders on shopping carts. I wonder if I should try for a patent??? what is your take
  10. Scarrrrrry part is that is per person... what does an airplane carry --150-300 people per flight these days? It seems like addressing autos while that should be done too -- it is not a big piece of the pie. Average car puts out about 8-12,000 lbs year if driven 10K miles/year. I wonder what the average ski resort puts out per year in its CO2 -- the ones that are not going towards the "green" side yet?
  11. This site is also cool -- specially if you fly a lot. Before you go to the airport - just plug in your destination and see what you are doing that day for the environment. http://www.terrapass.com/flight/flightcalc.html
  12. I saw the program Guns, Germs and Steel on PBS..well done as usual. I thought he made some interesting views and conclusions - some that you can accept and some where there is latitude for your own conclusion. The part about large domestic animals was very thought provoking and the germs affecting some and not others, down to the Europeans planting outside the tropics worked great and then they went inside the tropics and couldn't grow anything and did not understand for a while why. All good stuff but that is just my opinion which is not worth much these days.
  13. I agree with ncermak-- buy a USGA legal wedge.
  14. I'll echo what Dave* said -- ( hey Dave - you still wearing the orange helmet this year? ) One thing i might add -- there are so many runs and so much terrain there in both big a** mountains that you will not have the time to ride them all unless you live there. Also-- go to Whistler one day and ride Peak to Creek run.. over 5000 vertical foot drop - without stopping - betcha ya can't!
  15. Dunno - but it would make a great entry into next Photo Contest.
  16. I go there quite often since it is a short ride from Seattle. Feb is a great month to go-- usually one of the best for weather and snow conditions..be sure to visit Prior factory and demo a board or two or three. Blackcomb is a better mountain to play-- Whistler is much more crowded for some reason. Take the chair out of Blackcomb village -- the Blackcomb gondola in the Whistler villiage is usually a long line. There is so much terain and it is so varied in snow quality and conditions -- I am pretty sure you will love it if you have the expertise to handle it.
  17. better investment than the stock market - specially this week!
  18. Dunno why anyone would want to do this, the hill climbing must be tough!
  19. "Not that there is anything wrong with that"
  20. I am in a rut-- Whistler Blackcomb in Dec, Jan, Feb, and March. 4 day trips each
  21. Missed the Eagle putt but did not leave it short. SO my retirement plan of lowering my handicap is working.
  22. Hmmmmmmmm! Having a Lib Tech and a Coiler in the same photo is Blasphemy! My gawd man I'd never photo my Corvette with a Ford.
  23. I might predict that there will be no real winner this year, everyone will be caught with some type of drug/doping violation save but one low level amateur that had no chance of winning but did not believe in doping. He will be the ultimate winner this year.
  24. If I had to guess why it would be that 80% of the racers say they do not do drugs and this allows them to fit in the 10% catagory. But that itself is just a guess too!
  25. In Pharmacology, all drugs have two names, a trade name and generic name. For example, the trade name of Tylenol also has a generic name of Acetaminophen. Aleve is also called Naproxen. Advil is also called Ibuprofen. The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin. Pfizer Corp announced today that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer. It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of "cocktails", "highballs" and just a good old-fashioned "stiff drink". Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of: MOUNT&DO. Thought for the day: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.
