  1. Well - Bob -- ditto on the .375 H&H -- my favorite also-- here is mine. It shoots very well too!. It is a Ruger #1 -- I restocked it myself out of a nice chunk of Black Walnut and did the checkering also. Had the barrel turned down by a gunsmith to remove some of the weight - the Standard #1 is a bit barrel heavy.
  2. My bet is no divorce-- he just got them and found out they weigh too much to shoulder and shoot. ---- and also he forgot to tell them he is right handed

  4. Not in the lift line yet but the comments have already started this year: GF asks "Why do you need another snowboard?"
  5. Boots are in great shape - all the buckles work and they are with thermoflex liners.... which have never been heated or molded. I just rode them out of the box and they fit fine so I never had a need to heat form/mold them. With Intecs in great shape also -- Good heels too. No work on these boots are needed - just ride them when it snows. $200 plus shipping from 98006 I also have the mating TD1 Step Bindings listed also.

  7. if you know anyone who has a Panasonic digital camera -- borrow their disc-- load it on your computer and use their resize function.. it is really nice one. You may be albe to go out to Panasonic Lumix camera site and download it directly..
  8. The Volkl is sold -- too bad he is not a Bomberite-- he could have got it quite a bit cheaper than ebay cost him. Oh well my gain.
  9. Deer Camp Four guys have been going to the same deer camp for many years. Two days before the group is to leave, Ron's wife puts her foot down and tells him he isn't going. Ron's friends are very upset that he can't go but what can they do. Two days later the three get to the camping site only to find Ron sitting there with a tent set up, firewood gathered, and dinner cooking on the fire. "Dang man, how long you been here, and how did you talk your wife into letting you go?" "Well, I've been here since yesterday. Yesterday evening, I was sitting in my chair and my wife came up behind me and put her hands over my eyes and said, 'Guess who?'" I pulled her hands off, and she was wearing a brand new nightie. She took my hand and pulled me to our bedroom. The room had candles and rose petals all over. On the bed she had handcuffs, and ropes! She told me to tie and cuff her to the bed, So I did, And then she said, "Do whatever you want." So, here I am.
  10. A lady was telling her neighbor that she saw a man driving a pick-up truck down the interstate, and a dog was hanging onto the tailgate for dear life! She said if the pick-up truck driver hadn't been going so fast in the other direction, she would have tried to stop him. A few weeks later, her neighbor saw this truck at the local Bass Pro Shop. The pick-up truck driver is a local TEXAS taxidermist with a great sense of humor! Taxidermists are a twisted lot anyway! And it is not a dog in the first place; it is a Coyote. Can you imagine how many people tried to stop this guy?
  11. Cuz that has already been done..by many here is one... I personally do not like the size and the attachment to the bow. http://targetmastersights.net/Shopping.html I prefer to hide the addition of technology.
  12. More Pics -- the two for sale are on the left end.
  13. Reducing the number of 178ish boards I own. These are in great shape and have been ridden only recreationally. The Volkl RT (SideCutRad 12.6 Waist 19), has had 1 tune up and the Hot Blast (SCR 13 Waist 19 ) has never been tuned - just as it came from the factory. There is no damage to the base on either of them; there is the usual dimples where the binding screws suck up the base a small amount which I believe is normal. The edges on both are in great shape – no dings or damage. The Top sheet is in great shape also—a couple of small dings here and there but you need to be viewing it about 3 feet away to see them, $250 each or best offer. These are great riding boards with lots of camber. Buyem, Scrape the wax and Ridem – no tune-up needed. The TD 1 base on the Hot Blast is not included.
  14. Not an archer-- tried it many times... could not hit a hay bail from 10 feet. so I am more of a singleshot rifleman /pistolero. Last deer I shot was with an original US Army issued Trapdoor Springfield 45/70 with a bulllet I cast myself out of auto wheel weights. We all have our own levels of passion Eh?
  15. Received the board yesterday Pete-- Thanks... looks good - actually better than expected.. Good doing business with you. I now have all three GS Volkls in my Quiver - 178, 173 and 168. Now --- where is the snow.
  16. Deer do not seem to be bothered with a red laser, probably something about being color blind -- I have heard they do not like a green one, a friend drove a doe nuts with is green laser the other day. Re: rain or snow... if it was quite heavy I am sure the clarity of the red spot may be reduced -- just like your eyesight would be. how do you like to cook your venison? I BBQ mine with a little beef fat.
  17. Hey guys -- what would think of a 3 blade Broadhead that has a laser inside it? if legal in your state would you use it? I have been doing the mech design of the first one and we have our first 100 units going together right now. The broadhead has a fine pitch set screw to allow you to adjust for trajectory so you can set it for 30 yd impact or 15 yd impact, color code them if you like for what ever range. The Laser Broadhead is rechargeable thru your 12v auto plug. You place a magnet on your rest and when the arrow is at full draw a hall effect sensor excited by the magnet turns the red laser on, put the spot on your target and let her fly. Laser turns off when it leaves the rest. Also great for target practice.. Great Buck BTW!!!!
  18. Prior 4WD... nice thing is if you get tired of tree riding it loves the wide open groomers and if you get tired of the groomers it loves the trees. It also loves the crud once the groomers are all screwed up by all the skiers that are still allowed on most slopes.
  19. Update-- Dunno how I did yet -- results not posted on the web -- BUT! I had a so so front nine but an awesome back nine... I tried the 11 Putts on 9 holes on the back nine.. at the end of hole 17 I had only 10 putts on the score card for the back nine... needed to play the Par 5 hole 18 well to get just one more putt... I missed it by 3 inches short but on line.. I tapped it in for 12 putts and even par on the back...not a bad day on the links.
  20. I'd rather play with a Bad - Your Term not mine - Golfer any day than a guy who takes 1 minute 20 seconds to putt each time -- or 3-4 practice swings and then he duffs it about 10 yards.. and repeats the process. Just hit it..!!!!
  21. that works... also - I hope we can play front 9 holes at 11 minutes each and the back 9 holes at 11 minutes each. I hate slow play.
  22. I am playing in a Golf tournament tomorrow... yes the date of it is 9-11 but what is weird is my T time is also 9:11. I did not request it-- it was assigned to our group.
