  1. See here about the forum. We're not sure what is going on. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?40235-Announcement-Forum-is-acting-up
  2. Sorry to deprive you guys for so long! I have a couple of posts on my web site about things I have made the past few months. This one was a main dish of spicy veggies on a bed of grits! http://www.peakholistichealth.com/blog/2013/07/dinner-from-the-soul This was a super easy and yummy breakfast http://www.peakholistichealth.com/blog/2013/06/sweet-sweet-breakfast I'm currently working on a stuffed zucchini for dinner, and will make fudgy beet brownies this week. anyone else been creative in the kitchen lately?
  3. Thank you to everyone for the kind words and virtual hugs. It is appreciated. Steve, he's getting one on Sat. I'm having a memorial walk/hike on his favorite trail, to remember not only him but all the other 4 legged angels we have lost. I'm inviting everyone to bring their dogs and hopefully we'll get a good howl going! Summit and all the others will be there in spirit I'm hoping. Those of you who can't be here for it, take your dog out for a walk at 10am MST and we'll get a positive vibe going to send to them.
  4. Another Bomber dog has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. My boy Summit, who was with me an amazing 14 + years. He greeted customers by always walking over to get pets. He was the best companion and my canine soul mate. Summit, you have accompanied me on so many adventures unquestioned, but on this journey I can not follow you just yet. I know you'll be greeted warmly from all the other angels we have lost, and you'll be there to greet me too one day. I'm sure Zsa Zsa was first in line to say hello! It's quite surreal that you are no longer here every day, following me around the shop to see if I am doing something exciting. I know you are in a better place, but you took a piece of my heart with you. Summit is survived by his littermate Fozzie, his adopted brothers Moscow and Willy, and his humans who miss him more than words can say.
  5. Oh Randy, sorry but I don't remember a phone conversation from last spring! You are welcome to call me again, or send me an email but pretty much after I hang up and the phone starts ringing again, I need some reminding of what we talked about. :( It's just a bit too much info for my old brain to retain. However, I'd be happy to help you decide if you want to spark my memory. Give me a shout!
  6. Randy, I've got the specs for the new boots here. We'll have more boots in stock in November, so be sure to check back with us then. Let me know if you have any questions. :D
  7. Bryan has a good point, there are others you can hook up with to drive from Denver if you want. It is more predictable as far as closures. However, you can also fly into Eagle and rent a car/hook up with others from there. The drive from there is about 1 1/2 hrs. We have only had a problem one year with people flying directly into Aspen. Unfortunately it was the day everyone was arriving, and the day everyone was leaving. If the weather is so bad that they close the airport in Aspen, more than likely you are not going to want to drive. However, sometimes they close the airport because of fog (not typical) but they have to have sight in order to fly into Aspen. Otherwise, the odds are in your favor and if you do get to fly into Aspen - WOOOOEEEEE what a ride! There are shuttles that will take you from DIA to Aspen and back. Check out http://www.coloradomountainexpress.com/ or http://www.aspenairportshuttle.com/. They're a bit pricey, and you can probably go cheaper if you carpool. let me know if you need more info. Glad you are coming!
  8. Best reason to go to Loveland! and the company of course.... miss my Lovey crew!
  9. These guys talk with newbies all the time, so they are good at deciphering things and helping you along the way. Best of luck! :)
  10. Thanks Pat, that's how I feel about FB pages. If the only thing you have invested in them is time, then even if you get one sale or one person following that you can give info to, it's worth it. Linkedin is great if you are trying to promote yourself, but I don't find it a good resource for businesses. And I couldn't agree more with Twitter, although we are using it now because for lack of a better excuse "everyone else is and people expect it". BTW, great FB pages you have!
  11. THIS awesome! http://www.aspentimes.com/news/7201545-113/callen-aspen-arts-brick Front page of the Aspen Times GO GIRL! Congrats to her (1) because she's also an excellent carver and (2) one of my best friends (3) an all around super cool person!
  12. I'm more curious in general what carvers use and follow. Brian, if you belong to a group that is private, then the info shouldn't be on your wall for your other "friends" to see. It should only post in that group and on your feed. TVads, newspapers, radio etc all cost money, while most social medias are free. Huge difference although you get what you pay for, right?
  13. Just the parking lot or the road down?
  14. If I'm translating properly, you can also do all of this with Donek. Both companies make outstanding boards, and you can't go wrong with either!
  15. If you are "following" a business, how do you get your social media info? Any comments on what you have found more effective in running your own business would be welcome too!
  16. Kelly LOL!!! You know you can make a trip out to Slummit County anytime!
  17. Hmmm looks like no Telluride this year?
  18. Man, that's some extreme weather! Glad you came out well Alan! We are on the opposite end with everything here on fire http://www.9news.com/news/article/341973/339/West-Fork-Complex-Fire-grows-to-over-75000-acres Mother Nature is apparently UPSET.
  19. WOW!! that's probably the most snow they've ever seen. Crazy.
  20. Glad to hear all are ok!! The pictures are crazy!
  21. i was thinking the same, and all the BOLers that live in the area. Ali? Steve? Corey? Kurt?
  22. Michelle

    Yo Lci!!

Note: I've also given mugika2 a list of local instructors that teach formal lessons. I think once he gets his feet under him he's just looking to ride with some cool people, so of COURSE i suggested my boys at LCI!
  23. Michelle

  25. My heart dropped when I read this. Every year Fin and I hope that Dick will show up to the SES, as we are big fans of his presence. What a fantastic and interesting guy!! And as Al said "I watched him put the moves on a few young lady Jibbers, as a Gentleman", I guess the proof is in the photos. You will be missed Dick!
