  1. Thank you everyone! Jack, hope you are doing well!
  2. Hello all. Can someone point me to best method of fitting these? Does heating really need to be done, or does anyone ride stock? Feel fine unfitted with exception to the seam lengthwise (heal to toe) underfoot. Does this seam disappear after heating/fitting, or is a footbed necessary so you don't feel it? thanks.
  3. Very interested in this thread. I'm about ready to buy a new pair of 700's from Jim and Angie and my existing 27.0 SB 324's fit me like a glove...stock liners. I tried a friend's new 700T size 27 shell and liner and my toes were curled up in the ends. These are brand new and have not been heated. We pulled his new liners out and I put my old as hell 324 liners in and they have tons of toe room and the boot fit fantastically, which makes me feel better about wondering whether the 700's would fit. My question, as I'm not familiar with the Thermoflex or other liners...should the toes be that damn tight prior to heating? Should I look to another liner altogether when I buy...I see there is a Palau option? The shell size is up to a 27.5. Do you think I can get a 28.0 liner inside? thanks for the help, Randy
  4. Thanks Wolf! Hope you like them. I'll buy another pair as soon as I outfit my sons!
  5. These have been sold. Thanks for all the interest.
  6. Looks damn nice! I'd buy the Desperado if I could find one in the US, or some other means...
  7. Ordered these from Bomber and only have about 5 runs...barely used. Selling, just don't ride as much as I'd like to and have 3 young boys that need gear. They need a nice home. Yellow base, blue pads. 2 6 degree cants and 1 3 degree cant if I'm not mistaken...I'll confirm. 325.00 I'll ship free within USA.
  8. Quick question guys... Any difference in the 700's made in 13-14 and current year? I know they are the same color, but not sure if anything was changed. Appreciate a response...found some only ridden a couple of times.
  9. Damn that's fun to watch! I'd really like to know what that girl is riding...board looks fantastic. Tried to put a comment on the vid, but not smart enough to do it. Anyone know or can figure out what gear is involved? Randy
  10. Hello Angie, how much for a pair, and do they come with the wedge style cant plate that Burton used to send out? Hopefully not that circular cant. Thanks
  11. Thank you Nigelc. Will be ordering early next week. Again, thanks to all.
  12. Yea, I get all of that Sunsurfer, and I appreciate the long descriptive response/information. I've been riding plates/hard boots for a very long time, and have an idea of what I enjoy. I'm simply trying to get as much information as I can on how drastic a difference I would/could expect from the boot I'm currently in and these new 700's which is very tough to do when you have no way of trying on prior to purchase. Being in mid Atlantic EC my only option is online. Having options like the BTS is good for small tweaks. I appreciate everyone's help and input. I'll be buying the 700's and taking a stab at a BTS kit from Jim shortly. Randy
  13. Thanks for the information lamby. Interested in the BTS then. So in your opinion the Blue springs too and bottom softened the 700 a bit? Would a combo of yellow and blue be too soft? thanks
  14. Thanks for the information! Curious to what boot you're riding. Also, if anyone has ridden the newer 700 and has also ridden the UPS, I'd be interested in hearing which felt stiffer or which felt softer.
  15. Huge thanks Rob! Great information. I think what interests me the most is that you mention you think the F2 Race feels slightly softer than my SideWinders, and that the F2 Race can feel similar to the old Burton/Ibex...slightly softer if set in such a way. I definitely like the SW's more than previous versions of Bombers, which I felt were to stiff. Probably give F2 Race a shot. Now if I could only determine what boot to try...700 or 325 coming from older SB324's. Randy
  16. Thanks AJ. Yes, fit is a concern, but at this stage I'm more interested in flex/stiffness/forgiveness/feel differences between the two. I've heard some say they feel very similar in flex. I'm aware of fit differences between two.
  17. Have a boot post out there as well, but also giving thought to trying out a pair of F2's this year. I've been in Burton Race since early 90's and a couple of years above bought Fin's SD3 SideWinders. I've tried stepins back in early 2000's and they were simply too stiff for my liking. I'm 215-220 pounds and medium aggressive, but like mellower angles (45/35), which were what I learned on back in 1990 with the Burton Vari Plates. I like what I currently have, but always concerned with the Burton's blowing up and the SideWinders feel nice. I'd like input from those that are familiar with the F2 offerings and how they feel/ride compared to the SideWinders. If I was to pick up a pair, what would be the thought on which model and why. Sincerely appreciate the help and time....Merry Christmas. Randy Kight Richmond, VA
  18. Merry Christmas to all! Interested in grabbing a new pair. Been in a pair of Raichle SB 324's since 2000. Before this, it was the Nordica SBH's since 1991. Tried Nordica's SHB Hard variant around middle 90's, but these were like concrete. I currently ride a Volkl Spline 164 with either an older pair of Burton Race Plates, or Fin's TD3 Side Winders. 215 pounds, 5'10". Ride East Coast and not often as I'd like. Tried a Custom Kessler a few years back but did not like...liked the carvy feel of the Volkl better. I'm not a racer, and ride mellower angles than most of you guys, 45/35. Love the carve on groom, and all I really like to do. Having said above, I'm tossing around the idea of the 700's or the 325's. Michelle a year or so ago thought the 700's would be the choice to go with. Don't want an overbearing super stiff race only boot. Simply one that will help move me forward with skill and still be a little forgiving. I've heard that the 700's are not that stiff and some have indicated that it was hard to tell the difference between these two when trying on, other than fit. I know fit is priority, but would like input from those that have experience with this regarding flex/performance/etc. Thanks for all the help! Randy Kight Richmond, VA
  19. What are your heel to toe measurements in centimeters? I'm curious because I'm in the same boat you are. Thanks, Randy Kight Mine come out to 27.0, and I've always been in 27's. But want to make sure b4 next order.
  20. Thanks to all. I know Michelle is getting tired of questions. I've thought about going with a new liner, but almost 15 years is good enough for me to move on. SEJ, tell me about your experience/feel with both. As I mentioned in my post, I don't want to get into something to stiff. When I lay into a turn, I do feel like I'm compressing my existing boot pretty well. Maybe the 700's won't be to stiff and give me better control.
  21. Got to get off my rear end and replace my year 2000 SB324's. Liners are shot and oozing some sort of glue/gel. Move put some 700's in the cart several times, but have bailed each time telling myself I'll get to it later. I'm 220, ride mostly a Volkl Spline, and get about 10-15 at most days a year. No racer, but I like to mix hard carving with surfy carving out here on the EC. Angles are conservative...45 front, 35 on back. Coming from stated boots, what can I expect as a noticeable difference in riding between the two? I'm hoping fit will not be drastic as 324's fit well. Oh, I'm in Fin's TDSW's and love them. Am I getting in over my head? thanks to all... Randy
  22. Thanks Hans/Michelle. So Michelle, you still feel that this is the boot for me based on our phone conv last Spring? Racer I'm not, about 220, and like a smooth surfy carve type run and board. My 13 year old 324's are dying! Hope all is well! Randy Kight Richmond, VA
  23. Thanks Hans. Happen to know if flex has been modified from last year? Michelle indicates these are what I might need. No racer...only surfy freecarve, and been on 324's for 15 years. Time for new. I'm about 220.
  24. Anyone in the know on how these will spec out, if different from 13 at all? Fin/Michelle, Any idea when I might be able to get my hands on some 27.0's? Thanks, Randy Kight Richmond, VA
