  1. 163 23ww KST = 7.8 - 11.0 - 8.8 TD3 Sidewinders Yellow E-Ring Blue E-Pads Been staring at this thing since last April. Look forward to finally giving it a go. Randy
  2. Yes Mike! That's a great comparison. Any durability issues that you've found with the F2?
  3. Thanks for the offer NickG, but don't want you to go to the trouble. I was just hoping to hear opinions on ride differences from those that have ridden both. Sincerely appreciate your input.
  4. Both Fin's Sidewinders and the F2 Race Ti bindings? For those of you that have, I'd appreciate your thoughts on ride differences. Thinking of picking up a pair of the latter to keep on an older board of mine while my new SW's grace my new Kessler. Much thanks.
  5. Thanks for everyone's time. Look forward to giving them a go.
  6. Great point. Is this a design feature or are these just overly tight and trying to loosen won't harm that feature?
  7. Just got a pair of these. I was surprised at how tight the toe levers were, as they won't rotate around the bail. Is this just the way it is, or does it loosen up a bit? Thanks.
  8. Thanks guys. Yea, tried everything. Hugely bummed, what a fantastic boot. I could always bring out the mod kit and drill the upper buckles to move further out of which I've done before on other boots, but I've got this old pair of 324's that'll have to do, and dropping that kind of coin, just would rather not start modifying out the gate. Don't suppose anyone knows sources for Deluxe these days? Know Fin has carried them, but I cannot seem to find a Deluxe site that has info on their hard boots. Man I hate doing this to Dan...great guy!
  9. Damn...Beautiful, captures my heal like no other...but, no way of even coming close to closing the top two buckles around my troll like calves. I tried and tried and tried... Had to send Dan an email. Hate to say it, but these will have to go back. Damn.
  10. Mine just in today as well. Haven't tried them on yet as I've a presentation to make shortly. Maybe my new software demo will go better with me wearing lime green! :D
  11. thanks for the input Corey_D. Much appreciated. So, it does not sound like it based on your post, but to make sure I'm clear, with the 27.0 RC10's, there is no problem getting the boot centered on the binding whatsoever? As this is what I'm most concerned about, as I don't want to have to run healwards or toewards on the board because of a limitation. Also, if there is no problem centering this size boot on this binding, I'm not as concerned about covering the mounting/angulation screws...UNLESS, these bolts need frequent checking. Silly questions I realize, but better to ask this stuff upfront then deal with later. thanks again for the time, Randy
  12. TrailerTrash, Can you explain what the Wax Wizzard is and where I can find it? I'm interested. Thanks, Randy
  13. My apologies Puddy Tat...what I meant by "fitting issues" was regarding the boot interfacing with the SideWinders...not my ugly paws... ;) I noticed in the bomber store last night that their was mention of certain boots not fitting these bindings correctly, and grew concerned that UPZ's might be one of such. Thanks again, Randy
  14. Pretty sure I'm going to grab a pair or these boots. Was going to get a pair of the TD3 SW's as well. Any issues with these guys not fitting easily?
  15. Yes! Peter Glen took over my old shop several years ago. I haven't been by in quite some time as i was the only one bringing in alpine gear in the late 80's - 90's. Figure no one around hear knows what the hell an alpine board is... I'll check to see what they may have.
  16. Thanks to all. I helped run a local shop years ago from my early teens into my undergraduate years which involved back room assemby/drilling, tuning and maintenance as well as sales/fitting. This was years ago and I've been out of the industry/practice for quite a while. So with a recent custom Kessler purchase, I want to get started again. Vices... Any recommends, or ones to stay away from? Irons...same as above? Waxes...Midatlantic east coast. I'm no racer, temps vary from 25f to 55f Brushes/corks...You guys still use corks to buff? Scrapers? Thanks for the time.
  17. May be the wrong place, and if so, mods, please move as you see fit. I'm in need of purchasing a vice/workstation, wax, scrapers, files, etc. to maintain my growing fleet. Sounds pretty straight forward, but thought I'd ask what you guys/gals thought and have used prior where your might recommend a "kit" that I could buy online somewhere to do this type of work. thanks for the time, Randy
  18. Thanks for the incredible review Dave, and your time. You and I tip the scales exactly. After reading your review, think what I'm going to do is this years RC10 and some sidewinders, and maybe play with the soles a bit as Nurse Ben has suggested, if I feel the need.
  19. Hey Nurse B, what are your thoughts on changing out the soles on the RC10's for the ones on the ATB's? I'm currious what this will accomplish?
  20. Theoretically/Hypothetically/Potentially/Maybe giving thought to picking up a pair of these, and was hoping someone out there could give me their thoughts on the following: I've been in a pair of Raichle SB324 since 2000, size 27.0. I'm also in the process of buying a pair of UPZ RC10 (thanks to Billy B, Will F., Flywalker and Dan)...these will be in UPZ's 27-27.5 shell. I understand that the UPZ normally has a shorter shell length than most, and probably my Raichle's. With this shell sizing difference, what size in these bindings would allow secure fit of both shells? I've heard both medium and large, where the recommendation on large was due to "stretch" of the bails, etc. and thus the need to crank down a bit more. If this might only be potentially doable, I really just need to know which of these sizes easily and securily fits the UPZ's. thanks as always... Randy
  21. Thanks Dave. Do you know if these fit the TD SW without problem?
  22. Dave, Interested in your comparison thoughts. I like the idea of the atb, but most likely will end up with the rc10 with soft tongue. I'm coming out of old raichle 324's so I would assume these would be similar to your 225's. Thanks
  23. Thanks guys; just getting back on to check out the responses. I appreciate the input as always. Ian, sorry for getting your avatar name wrong. Always a pleasure hearing your input, and you were correct in saying in our previous conversations that jumping into 2011 with both feet (board, boots and binding) would more than likely happen. Yes, to much power lifting over the years turned me into a rhino. I might just get Dan to send me a pair of 10's with the softest tongue and give them a shot as you and NB suggest. I'm no racer and simply want a well made boot that I can use in most conditions with my new Kessler.
  24. Thanks guys. NB, thanks for the offer and time, much appreciated. I've thought about doing that. Sis'o'law is a pilot for SW. Just got to get off my a** and go. I'm currious, did you try on the RC 10's while you were there to get a good feeling of the diference in flex between them and the ATB? I don't mind my old 324's, and find the flex to be fine...hate to get into something "iron stiff". Not my idea of fun. Ian (Firewalker) has nothing but great things to say about the RC10's as he uses the softest toungue.
