  1. All, Bumping this post. We still have spots available for new core members. The support for this is truly humbling, however we need actual members. Please let me know if you have any questions. Our feeling is that the price of this program, for 12 weeks of coaching and course access, is a steal. Its also the only program available to adults on the East Coast. Whether you are a racer of not, this program will make you a better rider! Mitch
  2. Hey everyone, I am up for a promotion at work that will take me to Zug, Switzerland from the US. Since snowboarding is an extremely important part of my life, I thought I would ask some possibly very dumb questions to the community here: What are the snow conditions in the Alps typically like? I am currently on the East Coast, so I don't see how they could be worse than what I am used to, but thought I would ask. What are the best resorts within ~2 hours of Zug, Switzerland? How much does riding in Switzerland normally cost? Does anyone on the forum live near or around Zug? Having people to ride with would be sweet! Anything I am missing? Thanks all!
  3. Still for sale. Willing to entertain any reasonable offer. This is a ~900 plate new (with the current exchange rate).
  4. Bump. Now "Or Best Offer".
  5. Eric has been and will continue to be a great coach. His knowledge of our sport runs quite deep. If anyone has any questions regarding the program, please don't hesitate to contact me. This team is going to live or die pending on participation, we need members! Mitch
  6. Hey Everyone, I am proud to announce the creation of an adult snowboard team for the 2016-2017 Season at Crotched Mountain New Hampshire. I have worked with the mountain to secure lane space every Saturday evening from 6pm – 9pm, but starting as early as Crotched will allow us to set course; we have our own stubbies, and will be setting both GS and SL courses. Coaching is graciously being provided by Eric Brammer (“Eric Brammer Aka PSR” here on Bomber), a man with a long history of providing solid training to aspiring racers. The goal is to provide an avenue for adult riders to be coached and improve, as well as foster a stronger community among East Coast hard boot riders. Although the program is aimed at improving times in course, you of course do not have to be an aspiring World Cup racer to benefit from the program—the goal is to simply help all who participate become stronger riders. We aim to provide coaching to anyone who wishes to participate. We are going for a laid back, all riders are welcome kind of vibe. We are currently seeking to build the team out to eight “Core Members” for this first year. A Core Team Member is required to pay for the program in full up front; the benefit is a less expensive per-session cost. Drop In’s are also welcome; however the per session cost will be more expensive. See details on cost below. At this point there is no formal deadline for paying, but space will fill up. If you are interested, please PM me and we can move the conversation to the phone. Program details: · Program is hosted by Crotched Mountain in New Hampshire (non-mountain affiliated, we are a private team) · Program length is 12 weeks (12 Saturday evenings), with the possibility of more pending snow conditions · Program will start in December · Coach is Eric Brammer · Cost is $300 / person for the 12 week program for Core Members. This does not include lift ticket ($30/night) or season pass. This price includes all course access and coaching for the 12 weeks · Refunds will be given on a pro-rated bases for any cancelled sessions · Non-Core team member drop in’s welcome: cost per session is $40, not including lift ticket ($30/night). Please contact me by Thursday the week of so I can reserve your spot. · Must be 18+ to participate This program is meant to resolve the current issue with adult riders on the East Coast not being able to find coaching, and not having the opportunity to train in a proper race course for snowboarders. It’s going to be grass roots the first year, but with enough interest and participation we could see this program grow and grow. To my knowledge, this will be the only adult program on the East Coast! Please contact me directly with any questions, happy to talk snowboarding any time of year. Mitch
  7. Bump and updated to "or best offer". Open to offers.
  8. I have an Apex T1 isolation plate for sale. All hardware included and well taken care of (plate is in great condition). More information about the plate can be found in the link below: http://www.apexsnowboard.com/t1-race-plate.html This is a great plate for freeriding and racing, its design allows "pedaling" motion. $450 obo
  9. I have a barely used (perhaps 10 times) Coiler NSR for sale. It is 14-17 side cut, 20 wide, built for a weight range of 180-200 ibs, has only been ground once (and has a race structure on it) and has generally been babied since I got it. I raced it a few times, and put in a few training days on it but that is about it. See pictures below. It has a little plate rash. NSRs are generally very forgiving race boards, somewhere in between a freeride esc board and a full on racing deck. I found it great for ECing, freeriding, racing... whatever. Love this board, just need to make room for some other stuff in the basement. $550 and will split shipping.
  10. The Hefes are offer ridiculous customization options and are reactive as hell. Would recommend them to anyone.
  11. Thanks all. Will upload some other pics tonight. The plate is a APEX burning man plate, UPM mounted. The split is about 5-6 inches long directly under the rear heel UPM holes.
  12. Hey all, Does anyone have experience with Apex plates breaking the boards they are mounted to? This appears to have happened to me this past weekend: I now have a crack through to the wood in my base roughly directly under the rear heel side UPM mount. I imagine I would have noticed a rock cutting that deep, in this instance I didn't notice until I hung the board up for the day (I know, shame on me). Is it possible that the metal brackets for the APEX plate overloaded this specific section of the board causing the break? Or, conversely, is it more likely I am to blame (not sure what I would have done other than once throw the E-brake on hard to stop, but its of course possible). Sucks even more so because it was only the third time riding the board (which I loved). In other news, I am in need of a loaner GS board if anyone has one (I live in the Boston area). If I break it I buy it. Picture below.
  13. No, I am fine in the video department. Thanks. Beckmann, thanks again for the offer I will try to get you something this season... just needs to snow. Thanks all.
  14. Hey all, I am currently seeking someone to do the occasional session with. Preferably someone with a racing background. I usually ride in the NH Valley area, but I am willing to travel reasonable distances for a session. I am not looking to make this a every-week thing, just the occasional session which I will of course pay for. I have some experience racing, and am just looking to get faster through having an experienced eye / knowledgeable resource train me for a day. I checked the coach listings on Bomber, not a lot of east coast coaches listed. Just wondering if there is anyone out there who isn't listed there who may be interested? PM me if interested and we can discuss specifics.
  15. Feel like someone stole something. You will be missed, Mark. Who will be there 26th / 27th? I plan on making a trip out there that weekend and would love to ride with any of you fine fellas.
  16. Hey all, I don't hear much about these boots, and am wondering why. They appear to be very solid boots with the same tongue centered construction as the UPZs. However, I can't seem to find another person who rides them, haven't seen or been able to find a thread on them... seems no one rides them? Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on these boots? Thanks in advance.
  17. Looking for a 3 degree cant disk (regular), and 3 degree and 6 degree plate cant disks. Let me know if you have any! Thanks!
