  1. Bindings are not included. I amended the post accordingly.
  2. I have a very good condition Burton Custom X 164 for sale. It utilizes the slider system for binding mount (all Burton boards do of their high end line). This board has the normal wear and tear, nothing outlandish (just top sheet scratches which don't have any effect on the performance of the board, edges are in good shape and will be tuned before sending to buyer). It has a small impact damage, but is cosmetic only. It is in good shape, and I will tune and wax it for any buyer. This board is perfect for the person looking to step up their snowboarding, or for the larger rider sick of riding noodles. It presses, it carves, it airs... anything you want it to do. Bindings not included. $125 OBO
  3. They are great boards. I actually have one for sale... http://forums.bomberonline.com/index.php?/topic/41946-jasey-jay-180-and-f2-for-sale/
  4. Hey all, I have a 180cm great condition Jasey Jay GS board for sale. Metal construction. Board is built for a 180+/- rider, has basically all of its edge life, and a great condition base (its never been ground). UPM only, but for those that like to ride with a plate this is a tremendously forgiving board suited well to freeriding or for the beginner racer looking to step up to the bigger boards. Camber is mint as well, as you can see in the below picture (lined up with a skate bearing). Minor scuff on the topsheet between the inserts from the plate I rode it with, strictly cosmetic. these normally retail for around $1,200 CAD so I feel this is a good deal for a basically brand new board (I only rode it for two half days). SOLD! I also have an older F2 183 GS board. Wood, no metal and dated somewhere around 2008 or so. Asking $100. It too is in great shape and is a blast to ride for those who like the big board feel combined with that classic wood snap out of turns. SOLD! Will split shipping, but I am more than happy to drive out and meet anyone in or around the Boston or Western MA area.
  5. This would be a good time to do a little soul-searching for the larger snowboarding community and ask ourselves if the parallel format has helped snowboarding or hurt it. My personal opinion, and I am no expert on the topic, is that the way an alpine snowboard can turn (quick turn-in, rider incredibly low to the ground) as compared to skiing is completely wasted with the parallel format (especially GS). A single format would allow for larger, more dynamic courses that would both challenge the rider more and provide a more entertaining viewing experience for television. My opinion only. While I certainly hope nothing is dropped from the program, I do think this is predictive of the future of snowboard racing in the parallel format.
  6. I have a in-great-shape Jasey Jay for sale. 180cm, built for a 180+ pound rider. Board is in excellent shape, base / edges all in top notch condition. UPM only. I have only ridden this a handful of times. In the picture its the board in the middle, red and black. F2 is also for sale, name your price. $600 I'll split shipping to the lower 48.
  7. Looking for the race tongue for Deeluxe Free 69T... please let me know if you have them and are willing to part! Must fit size Mondo 26.
  8. Rev is sold. Plate and jja still available. F2 as well. If your interested pm me and of course respond back when I respond.
  9. Hey Hans, it is only UPM, yes. Any other questions?
  10. Your on track with your logic. "Peddling" is more a reference to the ability to manipulate the board with small movements in your feet i.e. applying pressure with your rear toes. My take on it only, I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong. You trade the ability to enact small movements on the turn in return for perhaps greater separation between rider and board/snow, which is desirable in rutted up courses but perhaps less so for free-riding, and additionally something that can be overcome to a degree with experience. As I mentioned it doesn't appear most of the world cup guys are riding plates that are 4X4s. I personally decided I prefer a more flexible plate only after trying one, and bear in mind my 4mm Bomber plate already had some give to it. I think its a style thing for me, and a rider preference only. With plates its important to note that stack height, rigidity distribution (the Bomber plate is uniform between the feet--at least the V1 is, the APEX and JJA plates are not meaning more flex is available for the back foot than the front, for example), construction and a host of other factors also play a role in how much a rider may like or dislike the plate.
  11. It depends on what you are looking to get out of a plate. There are three Bomber options in degrees of "peddle-ability": the light (most), 4mm, 5mm (least peddle-ability). I own (and am trying to sell... shameless plug) a 4mm, and have enjoyed the hell out of it however upon trying a more peddle-friendly plate decided I preferred that (hence the selling). Typically hardcore racers prefer the stiffer plate, but I think that is perhaps more "general" thinking than actual practice as the JJA plates are significantly less stiff than the Bomber plates (I cannot personally speak to the All-Flex or Apex, although I hear the Apex plate is also less stiff). How do you ride? Do you use a lot of individual foot movement? If so, a stiff plate may take some getting used to. Hope that helps a bit. I am sure more knowledgeable people will chime in.
  12. Hey Brian, I updated the post. Let me know if you have any more questions. Entertaining all offers.
  13. For Sale: F2 Speedster 183 (sweet for those who love glass boards, this is the yellow board at the left of the picture). Edges are great, slight damage to nose but professionally repaired (top sheet only, this never effected the base). This is the yellow board in the picture. $200 OBO (I want this gone, would consider trades) JJA 180: Thing is near mint. Super fast base in great shape. Edges are in terrific shape (I hardly rode this board, its near new), width is 19cm. Only marks are cosmetic on the top sheet from a plate. This is the black and red board center in the picture. $500 Donek Rev 185 (blue board with the bomber plate on it): Board has been ridden two seasons, but in very good shape. Cosmetic marks on the top sheet from plates / idiot skiers, but nothing terrible. Edges are in good shape, base is not thin and shows just the normal wear and tear (I raced on it, but only ground the base once), width is 20cm, built for a 180ib+ rider (I weigh 195 and find it a great flex). I baby this board. Built for a 180 pound rider. $400 Boiler Plate 4mm with UPM and 4x4 and wunderbar. No issues or damage. $500. Will split shipping to lower 48.
  14. Both days for me man. Can I get a +2?

  16. Hey guys, Was thinking of doing a day (or two) at the Beast weekend of the 14th. Anyone wanna ride? I am sort of desperate to ride with some hardbooters these days.
  17. I'm down discount or no... let's get a date scheduled!
  18. Hey all, I live in the northeast and am just looking for a good rider to meet up with, to trade advice and tips with, and generally just have a good time with. If you race, all the better (not looking for a pro necessarily, just a solid rider). I know there are several out there who do USASA and are not in a under-18 program (or coaching one). NASTAR experience fine, plenty of fun to be had in those courses as well. Just trying to meet some people and have fun while improving. I normally ride at Bretton Woods, but have a season pass to Waterville Valley, Cannon and Cranmore. Willing to travel as well. Drop me a line if interested.
  19. Is there going to be a rally this year? Mark, any word?
  20. http://onboardmag.com/features/talking-points/art-carving.html#qXWmBg2MBYASDxe5.97 Rare mention of the art form and hardbooting in a mainstream boarding mag.
