1. Thanks all. To me, it sounds like this is a "wait and see" situation. Season doesn't start up for another five months or so, so plenty of time to see what next-gen products get put out there.
2. I have been busy on the border of insanity this week and last, so I only very quickly was able to look at the videos Sean posted on this thread. I must have missed the AF plate part, or perhaps it wasn't there? Anyway, no idea what this plate is.
3. Hello all, I am looking to buy a plate this year. Despite the previous forum posts on BO regarding plates, i still feel there is no clean-cut way of gathering concrete information on them, let alone seeing them in person. I have ridden plates however, and want one for racing this coming season. Budget wise I am able to spend what I have to. I ride a Rev 185 World Cup flex, which is the board this plate would be going on. I weigh 192 in-season, very aggressive rider. Plates I know about (feel free to add to the list) Hagle Bomber Boiler Plate (4mm or light) Donek Plate Apex Plate (http://www.apexsnowboard.com/) Apex BOB snowboard plate (http://apex.snowboardcontest.com/09/boards/boards.htm) Coiler plate (heard it was happening) MK plates A JJA plate VIST All I can think of off for now. Thoughts on the best fit for my intended use and set-up?
4. I was referring to the constant, symmetrical flex pattern of the current crop of plates. Of course i am assuming this is the case due to the plank-like design. For example, it seems like the Bomber plate has a constant flex for the deck, and is primarily meant to shift for and aft (nose and tail in case I got that wrong) as the board flexes underneath it. This would render a stable platform for the rider, creating the isolation. It seemed like the Korean plate was meant to add side to side flex as well as the nose-tail shifting, based on the terribly translated version of the site i was trying my best to gleam information from.
5. so happy to see that there are geeks out there who can't stop thinking about riding even during the summer (and I live on a beach!). I tried translating the Korean site to English via Google, and to say the least its like reading a technical manual written by a illiterate foreigner. Regardless, I was hoping some of your smarty-pants who know far more about the mechanics of a plate system could fill me in: 1) does this plate, if I read correctly, provide both longitudinal and horizontal flex? 2) is this a good thing? The bomber and Donek plates, as well as the APEX (ridden only the bomber myself, and one of JJA's) seem like the maintain, or try to maintain stiffness in all directions (generally speaking). So this Korean plate would then be a different take on things. Or I have no idea what I am talking about, in which case thanks for reading anyway! Also seems like the design cuts a lot of weight... anyone notice the metal F2s they are selling? Where can I get me a pair on those? (I know JJA and Tyler Jewells ride them).
6. Another Bump! Price drop! Now $200 + split the shipping. This is a lot of board at this price.
7. I used to be on the Freeboard pro team, and am still pretty close to the company and riders. I can recommend the board for regular snowboarders (none-carving, skidded turns), but I have never thought that it was the best replication of carving off-snow. A Turney is good for that (don't angulate too much, though), or a high-end medium length long board. Freebord is great for freestyle training, however: Have fun and be safe.
8. Is the Apex still available? Would you be interested in cash + a board? I have a 183 F2 GS I would be willing to part with, and can offer cash on top of the board. Let me know if you are interested.

Let me know.

9. I have a F2 GS 183 for sale. See original post below: http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/s
10. So wrote a pretty long and (I like to think) eloquent message about how much fun I had, how great the people were, how inspiring Joerg is, and how crazy Sat. was... but then I hit the wrong button in trying to post this message and it was immediately deleted. Suffice to say, once again this event was one of the best weekends of the year for me, in any season. Mark, thank you so much. On a side note, if anyone is heading to Boston (or North Conway, NH... hey, it could happen) on Friday with an arrival time of around 5pm, and has space to give me a lift, I would be eternally great full. Otherwise I will have to leave first thing Friday morning, as that is when my current ride is heading out. Let me know... Mitchell.Pauly@gmail.com
11. Bump. I will now pay for shipping to the lower 48.
12. 2008 or 2009. I amended the post above to reflect this.
13. Hey all, I have replaced this bad boy with a brand spankin' new Donek Rev, so I am putting her up for sale. This 2008/9 F2 GS 183 has a 17m side cut, so she loves high speeds and long, glorious turns. The base is in tremendous condition: she has only been ridden a handful of times. A few top sheet dings which have been repaired professionally. This is a heck of a board that will truly improve any rider. Bindings not included. Pictures below. $200 w/ split shipping from the Boston area to the lower 48. (drop offs possible).
14. Hey Mark, I was wondering: would it be possible to set up a small gate-course for folks to go through somewhere? Doesn't need to be anything large or expansive, and we can set it ourselves (I can set if need be). Having been at the event last year, I know that there was plenty of space available. I think it would be a lot of fun for people, and provide a great opportunity to learn together. Slowest time buys beers! Also, I am going to add my buddy to the list: afcadio/Mike Ace/Chris Scrapster/Mark Atom Ant/Mitch Jonny Mellow Yellow Ken Grif/ed griffin Kevin Arruda Scott Grey
15. so the rather large part of this thread hat has been missing... how does it ride? If you have ridden any other plates, comparisons would be greatly appreciated!

17. Hey John,

I am interested in the SGP Lowrider plate. Have you possibly ridden any other plates, and if so, how would you compare the SGP plate to them? I ask because the SGP plate hasn't gotten a lot of press on Bomber to date, and I honestly haven't really heard of it outside the review you linked to. Any light you could shed on the matter would be appreciated.

19. I would like to start an advanced class for Thursday afternoon, however if I am going to be the only one in it I well settle for the Intermediate class (unless an instructor wants to go one to one...). Let me know.
20. Let's slow down here... I want the advanced class because I want to be challenged to push beyond my comfort zone, rather than simply working on the intermediate level foundations that I think most of us work on every time we are out. The best way to get better is to force yourself to be better than you are by riding with people who could destroy you... and are. I have seen some of the people ride who have booked themselves intermediate... they could go advanced, if only for the morning. On a side note: I didn't know trailer trash had access to computers... (FYI we live close to each other and should try to ride sometime, drop me a pm).
21. Thursday morning, traditional carving, advanced please.
22. Kessler and BP still available? Let me know: Mitchell.Pauly@gmail.com Can't figure out how to email you through bomber, so the email is below. Hurry man!
23. Please include me for both the race and the clinic. Thanks.
24. I'll likely be there as well, although I can't say for sure at this point. Put me down for both days just in case, however.
