  1. I like the "Fasten Seat Belts" AAA sticker. That would be good on the tail of any carving stick! D.
  2. Hey Ben, Thanks for the info. That D300 is the holy grail of cameras for me. I shoot a Nikon D70 and for my non pro needs it probably suffices. The 2.8 lens and the quick shots per second of the D300 definitely shines through here. D.
  3. Can you give some details on the camera/lens used for these shots? And what shutter speed were you using to get the "frozen" action shots? They look great!! D.
  4.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: This just keeps getting funnier and funnier........................ D.
  5. I don't laugh out loud at the computer often, but this thread is milk coming out yo nose funny!!! Comedian is Shred!!:D D.
  6. They should have a Juice Baseball League. Then all the doped up players could play with like bodied players and we wouldn't have a problem. Oh wait....... then we wouldn't have anyone to play on the regular Major League Baseball teams........ D.
  7. Do a search on BOL for the winning bidder, without the period. Nice score Paul!! D.
  8. You said this is a 2008. Is JJ riding glass Coilers again? D.
  9. Is that thing worth $311???? You are right B, you can get a used Titanal board for a bit more that that. If you can find one. D.
  10. We spoke about this at the Chris' Osler day. Unfortunately I will have to be there next time. Gonna be at Georgian Peaks Men's day that day. Hope you get a big turnout! Darren:biggthump
  11. Being that you are a luthier, did you make that work of art? Nice woodworking on the back of the neck! D.
  12. I just googled the Sessions pants. I would have thought they would have more d3o pads in them. Not just the knees. Do they make them with hip padding as well? D.
  13. A Big Thanks goes out to Chris for arranging a great day of riding! It was a great opportunity to ride in a hardbooter pack for a change. And thanks to Dave and Andrea from yyzcanuck for the apres ride spread of food in the lodge. D.
  14. Click: http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html?id=WKR Check the radar in the morning before you blow off the day. The media has a nasty tendency of blowing every storm up to be the apocalypse around the corner! If there are no conflicts to report that day, it becomes "THE STORM OF THE CENTURY" And this one very well might be, but too many times I have listened to the weatherman and altered plans only to find out that their sophisticated tracking equipment F'd up on the outcome, AGAIN! See ya there! D.
  15. That's a bummer. Hope we still get a bunch out. D.
  16. Yo Shred, what exactly is the attraction to the Schtubby design? What ride characteristic are you going to get, that you couldn't get on another type of board? I know it is long on sidecut and short on length. Doesn't that translate into a board that needs to go fast to turn but once going fast the shortness means it is unstable underfoot? Or maybe I have that all wrong, which is definitely possible. Maybe Bruce will let me ride his tomorrow if it is there for demo purposes. D.
  17. Nothing H said in the warning says it will have disasterous effects on the Collingwood area. Only the Toronto area. Oh ya, ya'll are coming from down that way , I'm from Barrie. I thought all you Toronto folk drove those big, snow eating SUV's. I know I do and a little snow and adventurous driving never hurt anyone. Well, maybe someone, but usually the stupid people on the road. See you all there! :D D.
  18. Like this one...............
  19. In my opinion, if you are new to the sport, just buy a board that has insert holes already installed. There are a bunch of old boards (if that is what you are looking for) out there that you can just buy and ride. Without going through the trouble of drilling out the board. I really don't know if it expensive, but that wouldn't be the reason I wouldn't do it. Just my 2 cents.......... D.
  20. Cool, see you there. Darren:biggthump
  21. I didn't know that Fin and Co. built a version of the TD2 out of solid gold and platinum! They must have if you want to make a trade like that. :D D.
  22. Bruce, are you going to have anything to for us to play with tomorrow at SOS? D.
  23. McCartneys helmet split, which is what others say it is supposed to do. That is all fine and good.....as long as some part of it stays on the head for secondary protection. And that the chin strap helps to faciltate that. It looked like his helmet just flew to pieces on impact. I don't know about you guys, but watching his lifeless head skid across the ice for that distance with no protection whatsoever was unsettling. D.
  24. Does your club take debit/credit cards for lift ticket/lunch/bar purchases, or do we just bring a boatload of CASH!! D.
