  1. The one positive thing to take away from this discussion is that it looks like we have an influx of new people buying up old gear (look at the prices on ebay ) and old people buying up the cool new gear. Or maybe new people buying up the new gear. Translation: more of us to show the unwashed masses the light and get em carvin'! :D Having all the good stuff sold out at this point in the year is the best thing that could happen to this sport. It creates a buzz and the "I want it but can't have it" effect. Which makes people want it even more. It will affect the vendors buying levels for next season! D.
  2. If it is sitting there looking all cute and completed, why is it not on a boat crossing lake Erie yet? D.
  3. I musta got one of the last sets of heels sold by themselves from Bomber. They are intransit right now and should be here tomorrow. I guess they are running short of them this year too. D.
  4. John, I will be at SOS Friday. Are they OS1 or OS2's. I would want the Intec set (both being intec). How much do you want for them? Darren:biggthump
  5. Never thought of the direction of the text. You are right, normally the other direction, from tail to tip. Looks great though. Hope the Schtubby that Bruce has on hand isn't Shred's. I think he is going to go postal if he doesn't get it soon. D.
  6. Hey John, I second the offer of my large melon for a test mold. My head generally is taller than it is round. Like a taller pumpkin instead of a round one. So I always seem to get a pressure point at my forehead unless I go super huge sized and then the helmet is too big. D.
  7. Holy Crap John, was he OK? That was messed up! Ironically, I was looking at a POC helmet and goggles today. The cover pic on one of our Canadian publications, SkiPress, had a cool looking helmet and google combo from POC so I took a look. I think I will keep looking elsewhere now!! I have a Leedom helmet that I have had for about 8 years, and I love it. I think it is Snell approved so, I think better than some cheaper ones. I have it in my mind that helmets wear out over time even if they haven't seen an impact. So I am starting the pain in the ass shopping for a helmet process. I would be interested in what you have in mind for body protection. D.
  8. Jeezuz Willy, now how am I going to get any work done, with that pic imprinted on the brain................... And I don't mean the Supersquirrel!! D.
  9. I fixed my post to only quote the deleted text, not your name tagged to it. I was just wondering who posted that and what happened to make him delete it so quickly. Moving on..... I am sure there are other noteworthy threads, but this one gets my mind racing at the possibilities described so well by many of the contributors. I just want to get out riding and try them all!!! :D D.
  10. Are we going to see that badboy on Friday at SOS? I like your C2 in the Coiler C. Neat idea. And the Blue spotlight at the waist made me do a double take. I thought for a sec it was a light reflection. Very cool. How does she ride? D.
  11. Anybody have a 3 or 6 degree TD2 plate that they would like to sell or trade. I have a 0 degree that I just can't get comforable with. If you have one let me know. Maybe we can do the deal at SOS on Friday. Thanks D.
  12. You are probably right about Oxess. I just hadn't heard of them. I think that with the proliferation of factory space and workers by the billions who work for peanuts in the Far East, it is getting easier and cheaper to mass produce anything you want. So smaller upstart snowboard companies can spring up overnight. That doesn't mean they will make a good product, just that it will be cheap. Aren't the majority of the softie companies mass producing junk like that? D.
  13. Race plates were included. Those seem to be going for $150 on ebay right now all by themselves. So you woulda got the Burner for $141.50. D.
  14. Everytime I look around it seems like there is another new Carving board company from Europe springing up. Yet we still only have the 3 "big" ones here in North America. Are there more hardbooters in Europe to buy the stuff? Or more money over there to buy the high end boards? It is too bad we can't get this sport kick started to the point where retail stores would clammer to have the stuff, like they do for Burton softies. If people can't touch, feel, demo it, and take it home today, the sport is probably destined to be a niche market. A cool niche market, but small just the same. D.
  15. :angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:AR15firin:AR15firin:AR15firin:AR15firin:smashfrea:smashfrea:smashfrea:(:(:(:(:o:o:o:o:o:o;) Wish I could!! The National Spousal Saving and Loan is not allowing withdrawls for works of art at this point.:( D.
  16. I will talk to you Friday about it. D.
  17. I grew up in Oshawa and skied there for 20 years. What hill is the race setup on? D.
  18. C2, did you say in an earlier post that there may be gates set up, or could be set up? D.
  19. Fine, I deleted. I hope the market knows what both you and I know about this posting. D.
  20. I would kill for a two hour coaching session with someone as elloquent and descriptive as WilliamBlake!! Thankyou for the taking the time to craft that wonderful instructional post. And DrZone, I noticed that you are going to Osler on Friday, hopefully we all can put some of WB's thoughts to good use. D.
  21. EricJ, I subscribe to your theories on jacket mechanics. The problem is that my wife does not. She calls me a jacket addict. I will have to refer her to your scientific jacket discoveries to put her in her place. D.
  22. Yea, The soldier holds up 2 fingers in a peace sign for the camera, "Hey no gang signs!" D.
  23. That new sig of yours is great - Iron Man, gonna be awesome!!!! D.
  24. Raichle AF600ts, which are the older Suzukas definitely did not have T-Nuts from the factory. At least mine didn't when I drilled them out to put the T-Nuts in. Maybe the newer ones do though. D.
