  1. Thanks guys, I never thought of DHL. We have a depot in town here. I will check out Canada Post as well. I think springer still wants it but I kinda got spooked when UPS told me they wouldn't insure it unless they packaged it. And they obviously wanted to charge for the packing. And if that is not enough, they were charging $255 before packing charges. It really should be easier than this to get this board shipped. D.
  2. Bryan, Hope the leg is feeling better. I am interested in the RT you mentioned above. Email Sent. These are the boards I mentioned in my other post. 135 Burton FP 138 Fake 144 Liquid Arc 148 Generics Peak 154 Burton R17 (I actually rip around on this when teaching my son on the 135) 156 Rossi Vas I think I could get rid of a few of those mid boards with the RT in the quiver. D.
  3. I got my 10 yr old son a Burton FP 135. He loves it. I have also been vacuuming up anything I can find in the size progressions he will need for the next few years. I will take a pic and list them later. I would love to be able to get my son a new SG. I spoke to Bruce at Coiler about making a short board and his response was: "It would cost about the same as a regular Coiler due to the labour being almost the same whether it is short or long. And the kid grows out of it in a year or so" So, used boards are the way to go for us at this time. If he gets serious about racing we will get him the good stuff, but for now, he is just having fun like the rest of us recreational riders. D.
  4. I have a pair of Catek OS1 Long Plate Step-Ins. They are in very good condtion. They have slight divotting at 57 deg on one disc, and 57 and 63 on the other. Not the heavy divotting you see on heavily used bindings. The Intec receiver shows slight wear from the Intec heel pins. Really just surface scratching from the pins and no grooves. You can check out a higher res pic at : http://darreneagles.smugmug.com/gallery/4388774_VcD2Q#257673308 $180 Paypal shipped to North America. I will not ship overseas. Virus 175 Tantalus Team Edition not included, but available for $750. Thanks D.
  5. One last bump before she gets packed away for the season. D.
  6. Thanks K for the shipping info. I will check into the shipping once I get an address from springer. D.
  7. Ya, I got your message. However, I have no experience sending to Greece. I am not sure I am comfortable doing that without some advice from others who were successful. This would be the right board for you based on the data you gave me. You didn't make an offer though. Please do it through PM if you are interested. If anyone can chime in on the Greece shipping, let me know. D.
  8. I would second what Chubz said above. Do a search on Virus boards on BOL and take a look at what people write about them. D.
  9. If you haven't owed and ridden a Virus, you owe it to yourself to get one. They don't come up for sale very often compared to other boards. And they are in the $2000 range new. So save yourself some $$$ and grab this one. You won't be dissappointed! Do a search on Virus boards on BOL. Listen to what other owners are saying and why they are hooked on VIRUS! Send me your offer, there is a good chance I will take it. D.
  10. paypal account sent. Thanks David. D.
  11. Bindings are SOLD!! I have a pair of Catek Standard OS2 long plates. They are in great condition. The only issue is that a couple of the front toe block bolts have stripped heads. But I also have a brand new complete hardware set (all the bolts, spacers, rubber gaskets etc) direct from Catek. All you need is one of those screw remover tools (cheap at any hardware store) and you are all set. So even with those 2 bolts replaced, you still have a boatload of extra new hardware it you ever need it. $225.00 + $15.00 shipping to North America Paypal. Thanks D.

  13. So $1000 is too much for this board? Can't fault me for trying...... If anyone is interested in this awesome work of art, PM me a reasonable offer and I will let you know. If the offers are not in the price range that I am looking for, I will just keep the board and enjoy it. Thanks D.
  14. Hey everyone, I know this is a boarding site but I am looking for some advice on upgrading my 10 yr old son's skis. He needs to be on 130's (based on what the ski shop staff are saying) and he has been racing this season only. He is on 120 Rossi Jr skis new from last season and they are magically too short at this time in the season. We may wait until next season but tips on buying jr racing skis is what I am looking for here. I wasn't sure if he was going to enjoy racing so we didn't step up and get race specific skis. He weighs about 85 pounds and is an intermediate skier, but getting more aggressive everyday. Can anyone give me some direction on this? I didn't want to buy both SL and GS skis so let me know what others do in this situation. I have been looking at the internet and speaking to staff at various ski shops but I want to make sure that I am not just getting the sales pitch. And if anyone has any gear that is newish and would be suitable that is for sale, let me know. And on another note, he is rocking on the 135 Factory Prime I got him this year. We spent a few times out getting the basics down with some success. But the last time out on one of our last runs, he linked carves from the top to the bottom! I got to the bottom and high fived him and he said "So that's how you do it!!" It was like a light bulb went on in his head. Can't wait to get back out with him! D.
  15. Tex has one in the For Sale bin. Too lazy to post the link. Sorry. D.
  16. Hey, here is a link with some higher res shots of the TT. The bindings in the shot with the 3 boards are set to 69/69. http://darreneagles.smugmug.com/gallery/4388784_AJ2WK#257674048 D.:D
  17. Hey Chris, thanks for the answers to the questions posted so far. I appreciate it. I will put the bindings at 70 and 65 and post a pic later tonight. My boots are Raichle AF600ts from a few years back. I think the shell of skidad's Indy's is exactly the same. D.
  18. I am a 29.5 as well, and run 60/60. You could go slightly less but I run those on my Coiler and Prior as well. D.
  19. SOLD!! I have a Virus Tantalus Team Edition 175 for sale. It is a 2005 model. I am 6'1'' and about 220 pounds. This board provides a very snappy, lively ride and takes all the ice and crud you throw at it. It has huge 1" camber. The waist is 17.5cm. Sidecut is variable as are all Virus boards. The base condition is perfect. It has a thick coat of storage wax on it right now. The topsheet is 99%. There is a 1/4 cm nick near the Virus logo on the edge of the board. Hardely noticable and certainly not affecting performance or longevity of the board in any way. The topsheet looks unridden. I loved riding this board but I need to sell it to fund another project. (OS1 Long SI's not included) Paypal is the only form of payment. I have extensive large value sales in my feedback on ebay. My ID is q107 if you want to check it out. Shipping/insurance should be in the $75 range to North America the way this board will be packed. >>Update<< $ Reasonable offers being considered......... USD. Thanks for your attention.
  20. Hey Boris, I was wondering about the chair ride. Do you take the pack off when you ride up, or just sit forward on the chair with him on your back? We had a guy years ago that was an instructor at our club and he skied at mach 2 with his small son on his back when he wasn't teaching. Made me cringe everytime I saw him. He never had an incident but it sure looked like he could have. Skiing more gently would have been better, for the people that watched and worried about him. But you are right, better to get out there instead of carving the couch! If he grows up outdoors, he will probably be more apt to prefer the snowsports to the couch (videogame) sports. D.
