  1. So why did you sell it so soon after having it built? Not the board you thought it might be when you and Bruce designed it? Not that it is any of my business, just wonderin'! D.
  2. I was thinking the exact same thing. Don't know why DEEELUXE didn't come to mind. D.
  3. Very cool vid. I wonder if you clipped that cam on one of your top boot buckles if it would stay out of the snow enough to focus. Or suction cup it in front of your front binding. Is that a Bomber sticker on your boots? Or a special Bomber model? D.
  4. Guess your lawyer was better than his. Any lawyer worth his salt would have had your questionable driving record admitted as evidence to show doubt as to who was really at fault. Ya, you got lucky. My point proven! The other thing is that your judgement came out of an insurance companies pocket I would assume. Maybe the guy you hit knew he wouldn't be out of pocket so he fessed up and accepted responsibility. The accident here will be purely paid out of the wages of this hardbooter. He should clam up and hire a shark! D.
  5. No, fault has most definitely NOT been established in the incident report. The report tells what happened, not who was at fault for what happened. If the parents want to go after you, then their lawyer and your lawyer will twist that document in the ways to best serve each side of the argument. Then the judge/jury gets to decide. Right now, the parents are speaking to a lawyer to assess their options. If the broken teeth are not baby teeth, then this kid will never have a perfect mouth again. I can tell you that if it happened to my kid, AND my kid was not at fault, I would have the best lawyer that money can buy to sue for a lifetime of my kid now having permanent tooth/mouth damage. There is no way this situation will go away without legal intervention. If I am going to be on the hook for payment to this family, I want assurances that they can NEVER come back at me again in the future if something else comes up with the kids mouth. Only a legal ruling/document can guarantee that. It is unfortunate that you find yourself in this situation. It is what you do right now that will decide the quality of life you will lead in the future. Lawsuits can financially destroy someones life, for their whole paycheck earning life. Get a lawyer. Whatever it costs you to defend yourself will be small, compared to the financial ruin you could be faced with without them. D.
  6.:lol::lol::lol::lol: BTW Bubba, I love your avatar, lamp, girl, lamp, girl, lamp.......dammit, why can't I just see the girl in that shot!!!
  7. What hill did it happen at? And after you answer. Delete this thread. BB is right. We will stop talking about it if you do. And you need to stop talking about it, now. D.

  9. With the narrow Virus boards I was forced to go higher than 60. My Coiler RCII 180 is wider. D.
  10. 6'1" 30.5 mondo 19" stance - I find that any wider and I feel unable to square my shoulders without feeling pressure on my knees/calfs 240 pounds TD2's 60f 60r 3 degree toe lift 3 or 6 degree heel lift I don't know how to measure cant, but the rear has inward cant to some degree. I have that same tail sliding out feeling when going straight. I don't think it is a body position thing, I stand shoulders square to the board and ass over the tail. Any thoughts on setup changes to help with the tail slide? Thanks D.

Where are all the girls.......... D.
  12. I just got home from riding at Osler. I just wanted to thank Chris for another great day out. D.
  13. Bump. Is no one having a mid season injury sale? Not that I would wish an injury on anyone. Oh Crap! I have probably jinxed myself now. Dammit! D.
  14. "I ride Scotties.com" on Matt's board. I find it cool that a local board/ski shop can still get their name on a world class athlete's equipment for a photo op. D.
  15. There must be some dynamite hack down in San Diego. D.
  16. I have a suggestion. I am a photographer that is a member of a bunch of photo forums. One of the forums has a situation that is kind of unique. There is a special lens that not a lot of people own that is circulating between members for them to try for free. There is a list of names that the mods on the board administrate. When it gets to your name, the last person with the lens ships it to you. Then you have it for a week or 2 and then ship it to the next person. It gets a lot of people the opportunity to try this lens that wouldn't otherwise get to. And then a percentage of those people will end up buying one because they liked it. Wabbit said he has one of these boards "on his wall". I was wondering if this might be a good cheap marketing drive to have one of these unique boards circulate around a close knit community like ours to "get the word out". Since there is only one model at this point, it would be relatively easy to do. Wabbit would just have to release one board to BOL and then we work off a list of members to try it. I think that the $1899 price point is high unless you actually get the chance to ride it. Then the phenomenon of Tinkler, Virus and others takes hold if you like it and you place your order. Wabbit is right about starting a company in this economic climate. This is one of those thinking outside the box scenarios that might get the company some much needed exposure. I would say that I would like to be first in line if they go for it, but the board is too short and I am too heavy for this model. :( Maybe the next model. D.
  17. I sent an email to Frank 2 days ago and he responded within hours. Take a look at their site. It is new. I would say definitely still in business. Maybe their customer service needs some tweaking. I think most companies in business today are so lean it is hard to keep up with the big stuff, let alone the small stuff. Not making excuses, just sayin'. D.
  18. C'mon guys. Surely someone has one too many boards this season! D.
  19. I am not sure about the construction. But, I just passed on what Frank told me yesterday by email. D.
  20. I emailed Frank from Virus about this. I originally owned this board. Frank said "It has Carbon Kevlar and Zylon inside!". D.
  21. I don't want to beat up on him. I posted a bunch of questions on his wall on facebook. Legitimate questions that came up by just looking at the way the suspension was mounted to the board. Someone must have tested this thing out to determine viability and functionality. I have to believe that it must be able to be ridden. But I would say it looks like it rides different than much of what we ride here. I think a vid of someone riding it would answer a ton of the questions out there. D.
  22. My comments were not to put Louis down for his binding choice. They were personal comments about what I like about bombers and what I don't like about Race Plates. When I am new to a sport or hobby I look to others who have strong views on their equipment choices. Even if I don't agree and choose something other than their choice. I still like to hear from those people. The people who are passionate are better sounding boards than those who say things like "meh, I'll ride anything". Who would you want giving you a review of their equipment choice? Passion or Vegetable Lasagna? D.
