  1. Prior snowboards is up the highway on the way to Whistler. Upz boots is about 3-4 hour drive in Osyoos. Yyz canuck ships from Toronto. There are lots of Vancouver locals and lots for sale in canada on buy sell etc... I you are close to the us border, shipping can be sent to a company like Hagens of Blaine. You just drive across and pick up.

    Td3 Sw

Arrived in perfect shape as advertised. Simple sale. Thanks Mike. Nick P.S. I think they are pretty. Hardly scratched!
  3. Thanks! Very very last one, with a link to the big version. <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/2-tQQBLfSHSR4vlfS_unig?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-PPAC1OkYHBU/Tn_r40KiwyI/AAAAAAAAAC4/gL7xdDEETsY/s800/TopSheet%2525204.jpg" height="130" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/113815594407204927173/September232011?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">September 23, 2011</a></td></tr></table>
  4. Yep, sure am! This will be a bit narrower and longer with a bigger sidecut radius, and VSR... so something to grow into.
  5. <table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From September 23, 2011</td></tr></tbody></table> Let me know what you think. The outline is obviously a really rough shape! the long vertical line is centre of the board and the shorter one is approx where the front binding will go. V2: <table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From September 23, 2011</td></tr></tbody></table>The bamboo colours are a bit more washed out as I compressed the .jpg more for this one. The actual image is enormous... pushing a Gig. I'm going to move the Coiler logo a bit more centre so it doesn't get cut off. V3: <table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From September 23, 2011</td></tr></tbody></table> I'm really happy with this... It's going to take Bruce 6 weeks to set up to print, so if there are any haters of Dragons (hopefully this isn't a Confederate Dragon!?) send me a PM. Please keep commenting with any suggestions! Thanks to Jack and Ursle for the size suggestion; totally agreed after trying it. Changes: Moved the Coiler Logo, did an orange to crimson fade on the swirls (flowers? clouds?) and the eyes, tweaked the green to be a bit more vibrant and turned up the contrast a bit, and added my name, email, and DL number along a path under the belly of the dragon (really hard to see on here). A few asides from the design. My wife was not sold on the idea of a new board even after explaining the differences from a 4WD to a VSR-AM. The design has sold her and she even sat with me for an hour making suggestions--weird! I used GIMP on my MacBook and it was surprisingly easy to use. The entire time to create this design in total was maybe 3 hours, and most of that time was waiting for the program to save, resize, rotate etc. The number of layers make it an enormous working file. Helmets

Just my 2 cents, but I'd definitely get the ones that are built more like a bike helmet inside rather than the ones built more for the park. Second previous poster talking about them splitting into bits... that's the energy not going into your noggin. I think pretty much all helmets have this feature, but having the rock lock type device under the back part of your head is critical to keep the helmet from sliding around, especially forward and backward. 2 fingers above the eyebrows! The micro suede on the higher end ones compared to fleece is really nice on super cold days as it doesn't absorb much water so doesn't get too scratchy.
  7. The snow today was fantastic! With all the dumps and not too much above zero temps, I'd hope for a long season.
  8. Steph and I will likely be there, although she's a Sunshine girl despite my protests!
  9. If you're headed out to Banff, check out Canmore. It's 20 min closer to Calgary and personally my wife and I would rather spend time there than Banff these days. (better local stores, quieter scene, and just discovered amazing poutine) We usually stay at the Blackstone, which has kitchen units for 149 and hotel rooms for 99. BBQ's and good hot tub (or pool if you're so inclined). There's usually a bunch of carvers out at Nakiska and they are a great bunch... my riding has improved immensely (from zero) as a result of riding with them this season.
  10. They are not intec compatible. I don't see any reason why intuitions wouldn't fit! The wrap-around thermoflex's from the Suzukas seem to fit just fine around the tongue.
  11. These boots are in excellent condition. I have ridden them about 8 days. Liners look like they have seen a bit more use. I've gone down a size in a pair of Suzukas. They have some good features including internal heel lifts and decent springs in the back (that work!). $100 plus shipping from Calgary, AB.
  12. Do a search with my user name. I'm ready to sell these. Will be posting in buy/sell in a minute.
  13. With all the avalanches in Rogers Pass area, we're going to stay on this side of the Rockies this time around.
  14. Might be there with my wife and a friend of hers. I'll try to meet up with you guys in the morning and spend the afternoon with the girls.
  15. It's not flourescent... but it's pretty glossy!! The colours in the photo from board rack looks a little too flourescent . Maybe the one of the splitboard is a little on the light side due to the lighting of the photo. The carbon and wood layers showing through the logos are really cool too. I really like it and of course the board rides well. The wife thinks I need a new jacket now (got the Arcteryx sidewinder for under 100 bucks when I worked at an outdoor shop... new jacket not so much) Note what my middle school students would call noob-ish riding style! <--- me at NES. Thanks to Riceball for the awesome photos.
  16. I just got one (not selling) from a store stocking KUU. $39 with 3 black and 2 clear sticks. This one was in Golden BC... It was the used sports place. Sorry, don't know the name. Try also http://www.maplus.com/home.php I haven't purchased from this guy (he's in Calgary) but he has base weld listed. Good luck!
  17. Want to buy BTS kit in reasonable condition.
  18. I think so... You're a pretty rockin' rider so you would have been able to avoid me upon me bailing! Wicked; let us know the link.
  19. You were chasing me Corey? That was sure dumb!!! nick dot stabler at gmail dot com if you don't mind! Thanks to everybody for a great weekend out. I learned a lot from everybody. Push me harder next year :)
  20. Not 100% sure which days we'll end up skiing and I'm with my wife, and visiting my mom and dad. Let me know if you're local (Bora are you the only one?) and we'll get together for a morning. Even better if you have skiers in the family!
  21. Either works for me. Anybody in Calgary (NW in particular) still in need of a ride? We could also meet up somewhere around COP where most people are staying, and join up in cars if there's a desire to save some gas. I usually leave the city 7:15-7:30... One of my (behaviourally challenged 14 year old girl) students today "you get to take a day off and go snowboarding?... I'm definitely going to university now." Snowboarding is clearly the magic bullet, not education :)
  22. I was at Louise last week. Little rocks all over.. Steph's skis got a bit scratched up. The bottom of the front side (women's downhill area) was pretty decent, but the same 4-5 runs all day. Top and back side wasn't worth it at all... busy and all skied off. It seemed like the areas used for races were in good shape, but not much else. Honestly, the good terrain was the same offering as Nakiska, and for the extra lines and crowds, and the extra drive, not worth it for me.
  23. I got a personal day Friday. Ihave an element with 3 seats and hopefully a box by then... 2 seats if not. Nasty fall on some ice and a bump today... But new board on the way! I'm excited to be riding again!
