  1. I had to look twice at the pictures.... Never seen "Dave without hat" Don't think I would recognize him in an office setting. HAHHAHAAHAHA! I'm dealing with a newly broken collarbone right now. Looking at 10-12 weeks for healing? No mention of physical therapy.. "use it until it starts to hurt" was the quote. Now if I can only get the doc to write a perscription for WTF '11... Doc? you out there? Great to see the snow flying at the big! Make some turns for the rest of us. -pk
  2. This reminds me of a game show, SES past... how did it go again? hmmmmm.. o-well, see you guys at lunch...err, I mean, see you in February! long live the SES! -pk

  6. It's no secret, time flies. It was great to see everyone at Stratton. Huge thanks to Donek, Coiler and Bomber for making the Demo tent exist. More thank you's to The group of ECES organizers who got everything to run smoothly. Thank you Equipe sports and Stratton for hosting us. Strange as it may be, the most memorable morning for me? A 6am hike up the mountain for first tracks on Standard with Todd. We paid our respects to a fury friend from Aspen when we reached the top, and then laughed our way down the mountain thanking the good Karma that followed. Rumor had it, that our lines lasted until noon. Two lone tracks framed by the race course set before the lifts opened to the public... Hope everyone has a good story of their own... see you @ ECES 2012!
  7. hmmmm..... this may be a great example caught on film....

Looking for a midweek tuneup before ECES.... Anyone riding next week? Have pass, will travel(Sunapee, Stratton, Okemo)?
  9. I pack my boots and bindings(BTS and td 2's) in a backpack as a carry-on. Hartford to Denver and back.. It did get flagged in Hartford for a manual search because the inspector stated that the bindings "shielded" the boots in x-ray. Next time thru I removed the bindings to a bin with my shoes...and had no search. The only problem encountered over the last 4 years was when I packed an L-shaped 5mm allen wrench in the binding parts bag....The nice security lady in Canada stated that I could not posess any "tools", and had to leave it behind... Good luck and safe travels!!!
  10. Funny how it resembles a Madd 158 in shape....It's a good thing too if you're looking for a light turny board. I rode it at Buttermilk over on "Racers Edge" on a softer day and enjoyed the ease of turns after a long morning of riding bigger boards. I set it up old school with a narrow 19 1/4" stance with 70-65 angles and it was great! (I now ride most of my boards with a 21 1/2" stance). I am looking forward to getting it out on the narrow hard pack @ Stratton... If you liked small, narrow, quick boards this one will satisfy!!!
  11. Excited to be here now...The warm-ups for the session have started in Summit county. Vail last saturday, A-basin today, Beaver Creak tomorrow, Steamboat by Wednesday-Thursday. And into Aspen friday night....It will be here before we know it!!!! Long Live the SES!
  12. Scary stuff, West. hope you make it back to join the wtf. We need someone to verify that Shred is really there!!!! Take it slow and don't forget to find yourself a new helmet too. -pk
  13. before this gets out of hand.... I believe Eardragger's intention was, that he is thinking of buying a new Virus, and likes the warranty that is being offered on the NEW board.. I also don't believe there was any offer to honor a warranty claim on the old board. Frank vs. Bruce?!?!!?!?! I thought these two got along? gotta love the internet sometimes. Looking forward to riding the offering from both of these guys out in Aspen! Long live the SES:)
  14. I run TD2's on my 177wcr, set up the same way. no problems. The center disk may be the strongest part in the binding system, and will not suffer from being mounted off-center. I have seen bent main plates, but never a bent center disk.. As far as the inserts on the board, I think you are still spaced properly for a standard 4x4 mounting. so this should have no effect. hope this helps. -pk

  16. A trick I picked up years ago...and it applies to all fasteners. Try to "tighten" the stuck bolt first(just enough to hear the fastener give a little), then loosen. sometimes the tool gets a better bite on the fastener and is able to break the bonds without stripping the bolt. this works remarkably well with dissimilar metals.. good luck and Merry X-mas!
