  1. First in line, hopefully. Will take them. Shipping to B2S 2X9
  2. I'll take it if the other offers fall through.
  3. Both boards headed to Nova Scotia. Thanks, Charles!
  4. Yes, still available. You can message me through the system or shoot me an email at mackinds (at) me (dot) com .
  5. Boards for sale: Donek Freecarve I - 185 cm, 18.5-cm waist, 12.5-m sidecut radius. Very good condition, with lots of base, edge, & camber. Very carving-friendly for my weight (160 lbs) despite its length. $USD 125 plus shipping. Bindings not included. Nidecker GS Custom - 183 cm, 19-cm waist (approx.); I don't know the sidecut radius but guess it's 14-15 m. Base and edges in good shape, but this board has NO camber left. I think lack of camber made it a friendlier ride for me, but a heavier rider might find it a bit soft. $USD 40 plus shipping. Both boards are covered in storage wax.
  6. Met PuddyTat at the hill today. Conditions are epic, at least by my east coast standards.
  7. I think I know the answer to this (i.e., no), but are there any places to rent alpine gear in Banff, Jasper, or Edmonton? Thanks, Dave
  8. And while SkiDad62 does that, I'm enjoying life, and all it costs me is a couple of seconds at the top of the run, and occasional ribbing, of course. I don't scrape. I just leave it on to protect the base. It's not really about speed for me, but a clean garage and base protection.
  9. I booked three nights in Banff with Sunshine in mind for that reason. Also brought hiking boots and a camera. Got all the bases covered. Will just play it by ear, but likely to go to Marmot as well. Unfortunately, because of a blizzard on the east coast, I had to rebook on short notice and couldn't get any gear together. So I'll be renting and shifting softboot binders to something like 40/30. In EDM 'til Friday noon, then down to Banff. Fingers crossed for blizzards in the meantime. Thanks, all, for your advice & help. Carvers are a great community wherever they are. Dave
  10. Hey folks, Thanks for all the replies. I'm getting ready to book. Last I heard (yesterday) from someone from Calgary was that Marmot was "ok" and Sunshine was "good". No update on Louise. I may just book the first couple of nights and play it by ear the rest of the week. Thanks for the insights. Dave
  11. Prior arrived and is a monstrously fun ride! Thanks again, Sage. Dave
  12. Stepping out of line on this one. Good luck with your sale. Dave
  13. Was at Martock Thursday night and saw at least three other hardbooters. Nice to see recruitment. SkiDad62 and I will be at Poley Sunday. 30-35 cm of new snow, so everything should be open and epic!
  14. Bindings arrived today. Excellent shape and excellent packaging. Buy with confidence!
  15. Thanks for the insights. I didn't realize it was AB March Break. I guess at least one tight-radius board is in order. Dave
  16. There's not much left of Boardwalk after 'Team Canada's' last training session ; ) Seriously, Erik, thanks for all your advice and helping me think through the setup and mechanics of riding. And for talking about the concept of a "quiver" in the presence of my wife. She now feels she knows a lot about alpine snowboarding, and I feel she at least grasps the key concept that would otherwise have become a source of friction between us. Best, Dave
