  1. You'll be looking at some pretty good shipping fees to get it to where you are.
  2. Dropping these both by $50, need them sold. FYI Team 8 is what Seth Wescott uses on his trips to Alaska. Give Greg a call and he'll confirm both that and what these boards were built for. Most of you have never heard of Team 8, so here is Greg's site, although it is currently being reworked. http://www.teameight.com/ At the end of last season I worked with Greg to create a metal BX board and non-metal slalom board to use at the 2011 USASA Nationals. Both could be considered prototypes however they could be reproduced if you had the spec sheet that we used to build them. First board is the BX. SOLD Specs are below, it has two sheets of .04 titanal, the board is pretty stiff, at 180 pounds with a strong build I was able to rail it. A lighter person might have a harder time with it. 26cm waist 12.5m radius 162cm length 3* Edge 1* Base Precision Grind It has a squared nose and tail, effective edge is pushing 140cm. If you are looking for: A) A powerful morning groomer board or B) You are a heavier rider looking for a new BX board, this is it. With out the metal construction, this board would cost you $350 new. Taking into consideration the price of the titanal and shipping from Canada, its current condition, and the grind/wax on it, a fair price would be around $300. Second is the slalom board, I found this board to soft for my 180 pounds. Going hard into turns the board would tighten up to much for my liking. I would say a good range would be 140-170, depending on how you ride. 21cm waist 10m radius 162cm length 140cm+ effective edge. Has a combination of edge bevels ranging from 1* to 3* edge, I would recommend having them done to your liking as they were done to mine. It is built using poplar/aspen core, a good bit of rubber, and carbon to help dampen everything out. Needless to say it grips extremely well. The board has exactly 5 runs on it, no more than 3 miles on the snow. Out the door this was $350, I will let it go for $250. Buyer pays shipping, Ill take paypal or a sale in person. Pictures can be sent to serious buyers only, I'm not on enough to entertain window shoppers. Thanks guys, Mike
  3. You'll be hard pressed to find a 4mm bolt for what you need. Thread is M6, you would want an A2 or A4 grade stainless steel. Fastenal has them but the shortest length you can get is 6mm. Mcmaster doesn't have anything under 6 either, that I could see.

    Custom Metal BX

Size 12 Driver Xs with Palmer plates, front +24ish +15ish on back. Had no issue except some boot out on heal edge.
  6. Snowboard Alpine Race Training (Ages 8 - 18, Level 6+) 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. - Join the Stratton Snowboard Competition Team for the morning Alpine Race/Gate Training. Run Slalom and Giant Slalom courses with coaching from 8:30 - 11:30. Lift pass and lunch supervision is not included in this program. Before October 11, 2010: $920 On or after October 12, 2010: $980
  7. I put my Boiler plate on a 26cm wide metal BX before I even rode it on an alpine setup. IMO the combo would be great for softboot freecarving, I personally did not have any issues with the height or weight. The fact that it holds an edge so damn well was what made me take it off for race day. It holds too hard and makes it difficult to break the tail loose if you need to dump some speed quickly. On your point about width, a plate wide enough to make full contact with the binding would be rediculously heavy. I ran the normal Boiler plate and had no issues with difference in flex. I run Burton CO2s and Drivers. On your point about stance, I ran a 23 inch stance (58.4cm) on the Boiler plate and had room to go further. Remember you can go wider using the binding baseplate.

    Custom Metal BX

Made by Greg at Team 8 Snowboards of Portland, Maine. Titanal was supplied by BV of Coiler. I am getting out of racing BX and no longer have a need for this. Specs: 162 12.5M radius 26cm waist 2cm taper Carbon/Glass/TWO layer titanal construction Precision #22 structure, hotboxed with HF, will come with LF storage wax 1 base, 3 side. Edges could pass as new.. I would recommend this board for a strong/heavier BX rider or a medium weight freecarver. The 26cm width allows you to really roll over on edge, and it grips like crazy. It is easily capable of running against the foreign boards people pay upwards of $1800 for. $475 +ship/paypal fee
  9. Sad to hear that. Proud to say this was my last year racing both alpine and BX. BX has become more and more dangerous and I would hate to ruin a season over a race that I wasn't having fun doing. It is still snowboarding in the end. Got to have some fun.

    USASA Nationals

 You are awesome. Ill grab some tan pants for next year, I'll make sure to get em tighter like my favorite guy Shawn whatever his name is... (Brag brag brag pulled the only 19 second run of all week today, f*cked up second run so no finals.) Grats to Johnson for getting all 3 golds in Junior, talk about machine. How bout one of these JD?

    USASA Nationals

Agreed, had the same talk with course officials on the way up Excelerator. The course was set to 12M+20 inches, FIS spec is 12-14 so they were in the right. However it was too tight for us larger guys to really make any use of the course. Open class course looked a lot better today.
  12. Ran slalom today, good fun once the new snow got pushed off. BX training tomorrow, will be at slalom again on the scheduled training day.
  13. MJD makes an apperance outside ME/NH/VT. Super interested to hear what others think about the Kryptons as well, looking at them for next year.
  14. It looks like the front inserts have some pull, ie you cant rest a flatbar across them without showing gaps. Any truth to that? Thanks,
  15. Just having some fun. On the SW note, if you can demo a pair, I highly recommend doing it. A few on our team have gone from Ibex to F2s to SW's and they are in love with the SW's. Just a thought. (Bomber biased here, take note)
  16. Non-metal boards are not winning world cups, yet you still want one. See my point?

    USASA Nationals

I and Mainecarver will be there, flying in Wendsday and training Thursday-Saturday. Repping Maine and the Boiler plate.
  18. I love mine on my 162 Kessler. It has a 10m radius, I haven't noticed any loss of pop. If anything it made the board 100% better because I can push it more without worry about blowing out of a turn. People need to stop complaining about the weight, it's only 5 pounds. Go to the gym!
  19. My only advice is to make sure you get something wide enough. I ride 29s ontop of Sidewinders and a plate, and still boot out heelside sometimes (21cm boards). I run 60+ angles so the 35 on your back foot concerns me. You may not get to such an extreme yet but you'll be glad you're prepared if the time ever comes.
  20. Goodluck on ebay, I had many lowball offers (200 range) and people questioning my price on a brand new plate. Luckily I was able to find a local buyer.
  21. Anyone who has had a 3M sticky mount come off did something wrong. Clean surface w/ alcohol, stick, let dry for 24 hrs and you're set. Good luck getting it off. I ended up using a heatgun and knife to pry mine off.

    Prior WCRM 177W

Blue, mis-informed by Prior? Board was built for me not off the rack, was never told about this.
