  1. I maybe able to make the Targhee and Kelly's days. I can stay with my sis in Ririe.
  2. You can see that he is still giving the front brake a bit of a finger check. I don't think he has reached comprehension of what is about to happen and also what did happen.

    Yo Lci!!

what size of rotors are you using??
  4. Nice camera work this time! No head thumps or quiet laughter! Can I get some powdered sugar sprinkled on that surface? It would look more like snow than spring snow!

    Yo Lci!!

    Ouch Angie, heal fast!
  6. I thought I heard some laughter starting to break out but was quicky curtailed.
  7. What can I do to get some advertising space on that commercial? The cameraman seems to be a bit shaky. Anyway to use a tripod next time?
  8. I say go for it. Never get an opportunity like that again to pick up a pro form on a mtn bike. The Overdrive would be a nice choice if most of your riding will be of the XC type. I have been digging my 29er for a few years now.
  9. Sorry to hear about the injury, hope she heals quickly and back behind a boat running 38 off. Some of my most "OH Sh*t" moments took place in the slalom course. The worst falls of them all is when you break at the waist and feel yourself start to launch over that ski tip. I remember my most brural fall was in that same scenario. I was skiing out in the high desert of SoCal at Great Lakes. Pulling through the wake I broke at the waist while trying to make up some time to bouy #5. I tossed the handle and tried to regain my balance to ski it out. I took to long in regaining my balance and slid up the shoreline at 20 mph. The gravel of the high desert when skin encounters it is considerably more abrasive than water. Fotunately, no broken bones but lots of gravel rash.

    Yo Lci!!

as most of the other forums on BOL go quiet for another 5 months the CO board just keeps seeing post after post. Dont you guys ever get tired of seeing each other?? Off for a ride myself, taking the 29er out on the local fireroad/singletrack. Have a great summer LCI!
  11. I hear Indurain has been on a good doping program for the last year. I hear he is going to come ride 'Le Tour' as a one man team to see if he can get another win and then another one next year to tie Mr. Armstrong with 7 titles.

    Yo Lci!!

You LCI guys have it good this year. One of two resorts to open first and one of the last to close for the season. That's 6 months of riding. What are you going to do for the next 6?? Sorry I couldn't hook up with the LCI this year. Hope to ride with the LCI in 11/12
  13. Cool video Julian, hope to make it there next year and ride with some of the other people on the SoCal board. Looks like I am going to have to up my game though. After all the skiing this year I will have to start from square one on the carving board.
  14. Nice meeting you today John, hopefully we can get some more turns in before the white stuff says farewell for another 7 months. Sorry for not being on the carving board today buy I was having fun on the carving boards.
  15. Definitely hook up with the local carvers. There are good times to be had along with some instruction if you desire it. Stay tuned to the SoCal ride board.

    LCS Part 4

LCS, I will see what I can do!
  17. Guess you weren't around the years I went to SES.
  18. Just a heads up, I won't be attending SNES this year but I see a request to try my CODA board. If someone wants to meet me at the I-15/215 interchange or general area I will let someone take it up there to use. Let me know
  19. I actually had a Volvo 240 wagon powered by a Ford 5.0 a few years back. I bought the kit from Converse and did it myself. Fun project! I will see if I can dig up some pics and scan them. A guy in a Volvo flipped a Uturn and followed me until I stopped. He offered cash to buy my Volvord right on the spot but was not ready to sell then. He called me back repeatedly but I wasn't selling. I found a Volvo 262C (chop top) and wanted that so I called the guy up and sold the Volvord. Two weeks later his son wrapped it around a telephone pole.
  20. I love 240 Volvos, hence the screen name
  21. good for your heart?? blood pressure?? WINNING!
  22. If you look under Michelles post on the main page "how to find the right size" it indicates that a 122 in a mondo 22.5 should be approx. 253 mm sole length. I believe that 1xx series boots are the same mold as 2xx series boots, the difference being in the number of buckles? IIRC. This applies as long as the boots are not the AT variety 1 series that Raichle made
  23. just hope we can get up there. Currently Hwy 38 is closed along with Hwy 18 from Snow Valley to the Big Bear Dam. That leaves one alternative, through the high desert and up the backside into BBL
  24. Sensory overload here. For the most complete information on Alpine Snowboarding you might want to peruse this site also. http://www.alpinecarving.com/
  25. Guess I will beat Jack to it. Go here to get a grip on setting up your current setup to try "The Norm" and read as much info as you can input into your grey matter. http://www.bomberonline.com/articles/welcome_center.cfm For buying alpine boards there is no better site than this one, check in the classified ads forum here http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=33 Also, post your info in this area, ride boards. This area caters specifcally to your locale and who is riding where and when. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=15 Another thing, most carvers on here are more than willing to help a newbie start out on a carving set up. Many riders have extra gear that are willing to loan out to try to get you started in carving. There are many carvers that live in the PNW that post here. Also, check out the N.I.C.E. posting in the message board. Lots of carvers congregate at these events and are more than willing to help http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=32611 looks like it ends Sunday
