  1. I should be there also. Andrea, I have the TD2s mounted on the CODA board if you want to give that a whirl.
  2. You are using a Phillips head screwdriver when you should be using a posi-drive #2 bit for the adjustments. You can find posi-drive bits at the local hardware store or at your big box retailers like Home Depot or Lowes. If you buy one of those snowboard multi tools there is a posi-drive bit included with it The posi-drive bit does resemble a phillips with the cross pattern but it is much wider than a phillips head. In the ski and snowboard industry everything is done with the posi-drive head, never a phillips head. Hope this helps.
  3. A black Coiler?? I don't remember seeing a black Coiler in your past inventory?
  4. Sheisty?? wasn't it you that was trying to sell a cracked metal Prior earlier in the season on the Classifieds?? You kept listing and listing until Jack finally made you pull it down. Check the mirror!
  5. Silicon spray is your friend here. Pull the liner out and squirt some down between the inner and outer shell. It will quiet them up. My BTS also does the clicking thing, not sure where the click originates but it doesn't seem to affect performance'
  6. Ooo, that is a pretty nice place with a fabulous restaurant. The views are spectacular with Mt. Morrison casting a huge presence over the Lake. Take your ice skates, do some laps on Convict Lake!!
  7. Had Chad of CODA snowboards build me a one off. It measures 190cm with a SCR of 10 meters. I wanted to go 200cm but he couldn't fit it in the press. I figured with a sidecut of 10 why not go with a longer board for the extra stability. I also had him shorten the tip section a bit. I don't ride powder all that much so don't need the extra tip out there. I got the idea from inkaholic and his customized SG. Took it out on Sunday to put it through the paces. Once we got on carveable snow it performed admirably. I think I am going to like this board!!
  8. Dug this photo from the Snow Summit site today. Who is up there carving without notifying the SoCal Carve Patrol?? It looks to be a Prior snowboard.
  9. I have had some epic days at Snow Valley, epic nights also! Valley brings back memories as that is the first place I ever strapped skis or a snowboard to my feet. Another memory that is permanently etched in my head is when I tried to rail a hard toe side on Mambo in fresh powder. OOOOUUUCCCHHHH, never ever try to carve hard in powder!
  10. Andrea, is this your ride?? I didn't know you had a Hawg. I just figured all the money went to snowboards!
  11. I think that we have a large group of carvers that ride out here in SoCal. Just stay tuned to the message board and you will be surprised at the amount of carvers here. Most of them, except for Arclite :), are more than generous to let you use equipment if it is available. I know that I have some hardboots that would work in a pinch and there are a few boards floating around out there that would be great for a person starting out would find accomodating. Bindings? between Burton Race Plates, Snow Pros and the occasional TD1s we can put together a package for you to use. Welcome to Bomber, BTW, looking good in the picture!!
  12. I will try my best to be there to test out the new board. My only concern is my knee, hurt it some how playing volleyball last night and it hurts like heck!! I am taking it easy, no mtn or road bike riding so I am crossing my fingers that it will be okay to ride on come Sunday A
  13. Looking forward to trying it out on the West Coast snow. Hope it works well for the conditions out here.
  14. Guys, you realize that this post is just under 1 year old???
  15. which Hwy 18 are you referring to? Through the desert or up the front?
  16. Wow, you rode with Tim. I always wanted to ride with him. I have met him on a few occasions at his shop in the desert. Used to buy his NOS carving boards from him. At one time he used to sell Trenchdigger bindings. Did Robert from SandyEggo make it up that day??
  17. guys, as much as I don't like too it appears that I am a no show for tomorrow. Getting over a cold that I caught in CO and breathing in cold mtn air might not be the best thing for it. I might sound like swissracer if I go boarding tomorrow, cough cough.:) Have fun and hope to see you soon.
  18. Carve some deep trenches there. I got a kick last year reading that letter to the editor regarding the deep gouges left in the snow. I would like to see if that same gentleman finds the trenches offensive again!:eplus2:
  19. Theo, how is the course usually set? GS type turns or something tighter? I may be interested in doing this if I feel better. Caught a cold while in CO, hopefully I am on the downhill part of the recovery. You think my 190 World Cup would be too long?

    Yo Lci!!

Just want to give a big thanks to all of the LCI that were in attendance at Loveland. It was a great day being able to carve and hang with you guys, Angie included! I had a blast. You guys never cease to amaze me with your generosity. I am just glad to be part of this tight knit society. A big thanks goes out to Dustin for letting me use a pair of his bindings and for driving my hypoxic butt back down to my sister's house in Greenwood Village. I wish I could be there for the festivities at the end of February but other plans have already been made. Thanks again!!
  21. Looking good Mike, I wish I looked like that after my first year of carving. Hope to see you soon. OVR
