  4. Does some one want to give us a definition for setback and the pros/cons of taking advantage of it? I always have centered my stance and am curious about this setback thing.

  11. What about a mitten??? Or a mitten with a huge gauntlet and a draw string??? Why are people so sold on gloves? They are never as warm and are a pain to put on compared to a mitten. Wouldn't it be much easier and cheaper to manufacture a mitten too.... pleeeeease!
  12. In the Doldrums! Cant carve and cant fish! Lake Superior is still clogged solid with ice so, the salmon are getting a reprieve! Carving makes winter way to short! Wish I could be there !!
  13. If you still have the boots, send me some pics. Lookin for my kid for next season. They grow to damn fast!
  14. The gunk on Poedunk Yooper hills! The crap that sticks all over your base in the spring, allowing you to come to a dead stop!
  15. Been told mineral spirits works great to remove the gunk from the base. WD40 every couple runs. Anyone have suggestions for trying to maintain any speed? Wax/no wax? Products? Not so sure I want to slather paint thinner on the base of my boards.
  16. you got mail!
  17. Have you used/molded the liners? If not, I would be willing to bet that if you called Dan, he would exchange the liners. Remember that a 26 shell is the maximum size for a range of liners... meaning that if your mondo point is 25.25, you need to buy a 26 shell. It sounds like your at the top end of the shell and the liners are mid range for the shell's capacity. Or maybe I'm full of it!!! I don't use the Flow liners. Buy the boots, toss the liners in the closet and put Intuitions in them. Wish I could buy just the shells. Love the boots!
  18. Heel lift and my 2 cents...... Riding UPZ greens with Intuition Plugs (wrap around) and Superfeet corks. Heel lift has always been an issue with my rear foot. Tried many fixes and shimming the liners etc. What most often occurred was that the fit became less comfortable and the issue remained. Cranking the snot out of the boot didn't help at all, it was just bloody painful! So then I thought about what I was doing to create the heel lift. I paid attention to my toe side turns and worried more about the mechanics of my carving, and less about laying out a nice carve. My solution was to change the binding angle/lift/cant to " self-engineer" out the heel lift. I figure if your up on your toe so much that your heel lifts, then jack up the heel so that its "almost" there any way.... another thing I considered was, where is my center of gravity? If my heel is lifting, then perhaps my center is not where it should be on initiation. Anyway, the boots, to me are not a vise. If I'm steering with my feet my mechanics are wrong, with the exception of pedaling the board. In the end, I jacked up to a 6 deg. cant heel side with about 2.6 deg of inward cant. Worked miracles! My hookup is crazy solid and heel lift is minimal... not gone, but enough so that I can live with it for sure.
  19. Up for Even Steven trade. A single set of minty, minty TD3, 0 deg and 3 deg. cants for a pair of 6 deg cants.... that are not bent or cracked! Would also enjoy a pair of yellow elastomers preferably or blues, if you have some. I would post a pic, but as I said, minty minty is as close to new as it gets.:)
  20. I had these exact boots and it was a very simple process to install the T-nuts. Stuck the nuts in and tightened them down with a washer, screw side, to seat the nuts... heels off, of course. Buy the correct screw, bolt package for the intecs, install and WhaLah! Just make sure you have the correct size driver for the screw, other wise your creating your own problems. No fit issues!
  21. I used my trusty ruler and come up with 26cm. Toe purchase point to heel purchase point. Meaning the inside distance between the binding bails once the boot is put in the binding. Understand? Oddly, the is no number cast into the shells any where except the lean adjustment scale.
