  1. Have any of you people ever worked Chairlift maintenance? There are any number of reasons why this incident happened. Its very upsetting that it did, but to throw out unfounded B.S. based on speculation and yellow journalism does the people whose job it is to keep you safe a rotten disservice. Does anyone really believe that the guys who are tasked to get you off the lift when it breaks down and keep your ass safe day to day would make a decision to run it based on anything but saftey. Ever look at a lift mechanics salary? There are any number of reasons they (lift maintenance) chose to run the lift on auxillary drive to evacuate the skiers. The decisions are made based on skier saftey 1st and the weighting the risk of evcauting each individual one at a time from chair to chair or creeping the lift along. Let them freeze until we can get them off one at a time or inch the chair and get everyone off with as little discomfort as possible. Couple that with every person stuck on the chair bitching and every person who wants on it bitching and upper management bitching to get it going. We have all weighed risks and made decisions based on our abilities, education and experiences. When the pressure is on to make the best decision its easy to look back and say..well, I think we should have..... Been here and have made those decisions...guess I got lucky.
  2. And I would like to hear more about the pink pants!
  3. OK, so I took the crappy stomp pad off and cleaned it up. This thing is in nice shape, never been ground. surely somebody wants it. No base defects and lots-o-camber and plus its cool lookin'. The chicks will dig it!

  7. 1st things first. Do what BlueB said about figuring out your Mondo size....how long your foot is in centimeters from the back of your heel bone to the end of your longest toe. also do you have wide feet...EE or wider. OK so this is what I have for $600 OBO. Your height/weight fits the board. Got to BOl classifieds and look at "threads" by YooperBoy. Donek Pilot etc. comes with the bindings this stuff is never been on the snow. I bought it as part of a pkg deal for the boots only this spring. AND a pair of UPZ RSV MP 27 (mondo point 27) boots also posted by me, YooperBoy. My mondopoint is 26.5. I like the way these fit, but my foot is a little wide in the toe so i need a wider toe box. I can send the whole pkg. All you will have to do is put your feet in the boots and step into the bindings. Of course stance width and binding angle will be up to you. Or for $500, same boots/bindings in the pics and look for the Burton Alp 64 I also posted. If this is your first venture I suggest you go to http://www.alpinecarving.com/index.html and read it! This guy is great and does it out of the love of the sport and nothing else. He also answers his email. I dont want you buy something you dont want so educate yourself and if my stuff works, great.
  8. I have a pair of UPZ RSV MP27 wich is supposed to fit an MP of 27 to 27.9. I just took my Fin-tec step-ins off to put them on new boots. The thread size/pitch in the heels are M5 x 20mm. Got them for sale in the BOL classifieds for $200. Posted by Yooperboy. I'm from the U.P. eh'. Go figure.

  10. I guess Achilesheel would have 1st dibs. If you guys want to email me I can send more pics than this place allows with better detail. cpalmer at nmu dot edu. I could get real picky and describe every scratch. The plates have 2 seasons on them so they are used. One heel piece does have a small cut in it. (see pic) It looks like a machineing error at Catek. It was like that when I bought them so I couldnt say for sure. Some wear on the back of toe clips from boot buckle.
  11. Original owner. Board has never been ground, no gouges or defects in base or edges. Cap construction with some minor chips at the tail. Top sheet has the typical scratches and binding stains. Tons of camber left. Serial # 142701238 $150.00
  12. SOLD! $200.00 to lower 48. Heels are t-nutted 5m x 20mm stainless to accept fin-tecs. Normal wear/scratches for used boots otherwise fine.
  13. Up for Grabs. Never been on the snow as far as I know. Bought as part of a pkg deal for the boots. The board is an entry level Board that retails for $415.00. Binding retails for $259.00 "There was a serious need in the sport of alpine snowboarding for an entry-level race board at a price that didn't break the bank. We decided that it was time to step up to the plate. We designed the Race Pilot series specifically for junior racers, up-and-comers, lightweight riders, and anybody curious about alpine riding. With an intelligent range of sizes and flex patterns tuned to be more forgiving, the Pilot is an incredible performance option that also offers an unmatched value." http://www.donek.com/pilotrc_pilot.html for specs etc. Binding specs here.. http://www.upzboots.com/bindings.html More pics for those interested. How about $425.00 to lower 48.

  16. I have a pair of these in an MP27 and I wear a size 10 EE street shoe if it matters. My MP size is 26.5. I think if I bought a pair in MP26 they would not fit.
  17. Save the hassel and tell me how much you want for it!
  18. Willing to finance a new board for you by assuming the mortage on your 2010 Coiler VSR FC x-tight or tight, 170 ish for 180 pounder. With or without TD-3 SI's! Paying cold hard cash or whatever!
  19. Does anyone have a torque spec for the td-3 si with yellow e-rings or any suggestions as to what is enough or not enough tightness. bomber says min. of 3.5 threads. That may be fine with the red elastomer but I would rather have a torque value to start from and tweak from there.
  20. Thanks a mtn.! check mail here if you can. sent name and address etc.
