So I traveled to Uganda this summer and spent 2 days in Dubai. Well if you love the snow you have to go right? Well I did. To start the equipment is horrible, I know it has been a while since a dawned soft boots but wow noodle is a word. If you are a germaphobe you should dress warm and avoid the rental clothes. It is like pulling a bowling shoe over your body. But the experience is great. It was 115 deg. outside and 25 deg. inside. Quit a thermo engineering marvel.

This is almost the exact description of why I snowboard. I have been in the mountains doing snow sports since 79' and i meet my wife at Snowbird 20 years ago. No matter what happens in life a day on the mountain carving will cure you of wondering thought's or you will hit a tree!!!!

Not a new board this year. But switched to UPZ boots and just received new RC12. Hope it fixes my heel lift problem.

I also order a lot of parts. For Fin Tecs and Bindings. I went with UPZ this year for boots and my new RC12 should be at the house on Tuesday. I think I have enough parts to go 3 years on the bindings.

Thanks. I decided to pull the trigger on the rc12's. I tend to ride in walk mode on powder days so hopefully they will be soft enough.

They are very flexible in comparison to f2 or td3's. If you are over 180lbs the can break. I only know from personal experience.

What is it that you like about the 8. I am getting new boots this year and trying to decide which UPZ boot to get.

I have been riding deluxe boots since I started hardbooting currently 325. I am thinking of going to UPZ. I am 225 lbs and ride hard boots in all conditions. What UPZ boot would you recommend? I have also always suffered from heel lift and tight in the toe box.
