  1. I appreciate the info.....I still don't know what my next weapon will be...choices,choices.
  2. Yes,Ive read that review....the only difference being that they rode the world cup edition with metal....I think.
  3. It's a 2010 model, and id be buying it from Andrea and Dave....they've answered all my silly questions....good,informed folks, for sure. I'm just worried that a 183 is too much scr for east coast runs. I'm accustomed to a 181 WCR and 168 RT....guess I could use them on the narrow trails, yeah?
  4. Hi folks...I'm looking for some input. Thinking about picking up a new 183 RS,haven't found much in the way of reviews or owner opinions. Anybody have any experience-based facts or testimonials?

    Madd 180....

I'd love to have it.... no clue as to what its worth though!
  6. My old Nordica SBH's were comfortable,But the buckles were always breaking. My Head Stratos' were tuff-as-nails,and super stiff when temps were -15*C.Right now I'm quite happy with my Deeluxe 325's...they seem to fall right in the middle of the first two pair.
  7. :(Sorry to hear that Hans......Over the years I've succeeded in moving both of my kneecaps to the side of the joint...not fun. Here's to a speedy recovery!
  8. I wonder what her tip, waist, and tail measurements are?......
  9. that's a monster.......I'd love to try a 210,but it might be a little much for ice-coast runs.Think I'd need a full pasture to turn that one around. How wide is your stance and what's the scr on that animal?
  10. For your sake dude,I hope it's dumping snow in your neck-of-woods.You need a fix.
  11. 168 cm is in the realm of GS.
  12. My brother had that in a 149 as well.....great slalom board.I rode the hell out of a 168 for a couple years. They were a nice ride in their day....don't think they'd be worth all that much $ today.
  13. That makes me sick....oh well,We'll have some manmade boilerplate on the ground here by X-mas,I hope.:freak3:God, I miss the left coast.:(
  14. I know what I'd tell her coach....If I were her,that is.....
  15. I beat the pi$$ outta mine for over 7 years...never a problem.

    FS: Donek 171 FC1

CD....is the Donek still up for grabs?
  17. I'm after a lightly used race\carve board anywhere in the 170 to 180 range with a relatively stiff flex pattern for my 225 lbs.Scr needs to be reasonably tight for narrow East Coast trails.thx.:)
  18. How much hassle is involved in shipping across the border?
  19. Drop me a line if yer heading to C.B. anytime this winter.
  20. My experience this year has been similar to yours, heel blister to prove it.
  21. The left coast can definetly spoil a rider...I spent a full season(95-96) @ Big White carving in hero snow..almost made me miss my beloved east coast blue boilerplate.FWIW-we have better grooming downeast.
  22. I like what I'm reading about the Prior WCR metal series.C5Golfer-I wish I could demo every alpine board...but around here they're as rare as hen's teeth.
  23. Thanks guys...excuse my ignorance..but what's the big advantage with the "metals"?Torsional stiffness, edge hold, stability, damping?I've never really cared as to how my boards were constructed-as long as they worked for me.However, I'm paying attention if you tell me that certain build-materials offer specific advantages.
  24. What new board would you recommend? After 3 long, shameful seasons off the slopes,I spent this winter getting re-aquainted with my 5 year old Renntiger 168.Point is...I've got the fever again and the only cure is....More alpine gear!Prior to running the Volkl,I spent years on various Rossi VAS World Cups, and an Aggression 175 Stealth asym.I like the tiger, yet the Rossi's were more fun and forgiving...Although one is now in two separate pieces.I'm 6'3 and 220lbs...I ride as aggressively as my legs and snow conditions let me....I'm curious as to wether an alpine(non-race) or rec-race board will hold up under me yet allow me to play around the entire mountain(or hill in my case.)The F2 Silberpfeil looks interesting....I'm open to all opinions and real-world experiences.Thanx.
