  1. The new Thirst is a 19.5 waist and my boots are mondo 28...... for comparison I ride 65/60 on my K168 with a 20.5 stance I took the TD3's toe and heel pieces off the rear binding to be able to adjust the center disk/angle or Fuego angle to avoid boot out.....but on the rear binding the angle I see that doesn't hit my faux Fuego tool is 70 degrees. Does that sound normal? imo it seems an excessive binding angle for a 19.5 waist board and mondo 28 boots. Am I missing something?
  2. What's the specs on the Rev?...can't see that in the photos.
  3. Roger that. Do you have any experience with the Vist Snowplate 07 ??
  4. Kneel I don't really notice the plate or height once I get moving but do wonder if I'm over flexing my BP v2 4mm at my petite 230lbs! Jack I don't see a Bomber BP version in your condensed cliff notes list. I've really enjoyed my BP V2 4mm on my K168 On your scale where would you place: 1 - BP V2 4mm 2 - V2 4mm Lite 3 - Vist Snowplate 07
  5. Yeah I saw that sweet ride.....should be surfy ride just like a Moss Karen's the real deal - got my most recent Moss PQ60 From Russia with Love. Enjoy!
  6. I save the Moss squadron for softer days, preferably pow....but not much of that on the ice coast compared to the 7 years I had in Tahoe! ...but in saying that my typical all day quiver at the Mnt. is a Swoard Dual to warm up and find a non crowded haul ass run in ripe condition, then change to K168 Groomer destroyer until my legs or the groom is shot and then finish out the day on the Moss. The Moss boards are much more versatile and forgiving in mixed conditions (and on my knees!).....They love the pow but want to carve...all on the same run! Very damp ride, no need for any plate. Moss boards are much more surfy pump style of riding compared to hard charging (knee twisting) angulation.
  7. I hear ya! - Ain't it bliss! My K168 was 10 Wow!...but adding my Bomber V2 Boilerplate made the ride OMG! 11++++ My knees are So Thankful !!!
  8. K168, Virus Phantom - Wow! pretty impressive quiver for your 1st hardboot season! Congrats!! K168 = 10 K168 + Plate = 11+++ Glad you found the bliss of knee saving plate on a rocket!
  9. As mentioned photos or some video speaks volumes if you have any. 65/50 is a big splay imo and would not work for me...... so I would expect turning your rear binding up to 60 will help with heelside initiation and your angulation. I'd like to know what board and waist width?
  10. Yeah....I'll go with Mark's suggested binding placement.....he marked the front set of inserts and see what happens. Thanks for all the info and support! I won't be able to get it out on the hill until next week because of all the Covid Crazies up here for holiday week....so lots of time to overthink this!!!!
  11. Damnnnn! A virgin Prior Pow Stcik!! That's too beautiful to ride!! That needs to be forever cherished on somebody's wall!
  12. Thanks for that input guys I shouldn't have any toe overhang at my 65/60 angles ....so more concerned about binding placement as I'm used to setting my front bindings forward to load the nose and adjusting everything from there. I thought I read/saw that with Thirst you should set front binding in last set of front inserts and adjust everything back from that.....??
  13. Finally acquired a beauty of a board from Mark - an SF162 with a 19.5 waist Looking for tips and suggestions from you Thirst riders that have already worked this out. I'll set it up with TD3 SW SI's and on my K168 for comparisons my splay is 21 inches and stance is 65/60...but that's on a BP V2 plate Any advice or suggestions appreciated
  14. and Tadah! A beautiful SF162 Wow! Incredible seethrough topsheet! Alas, I won't get it out on the hill until next week with all the Covid Escapees up here this holiday week!
  15. Wow! Getting into one of Mark's packaging is a workout! But Tadah!.......here it is!
  16. Ha! Yeah, I thought the box was pretty impressive in itself! Even Mark's boxing/packaging is a work of art!!
  17. Looky Looky what was waiting for me today! Finally! Only took 3 weeks to travel from ID to NH! Should be a SF162 in there!
  18. Wow! At that price I might be willing to chop off a toe or two to squeeze my wafflestompers in them!
  19. Oops! .......sorry Karen didn't mean to hijack your thread! Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.....................
  20. I ordered one of those too!......Mark shipped my SF162 back on Dec. 7th but USPS lost it somewhere between ID and NH!! Still No tracking details what so ever! Ugh!!
  21. Hey Karen, Can't wait! My order is already placed!!
  22. Anybody bought one of these? Mt World Cup tuner buddy demoed it for me and they produce an incredible, basically one pass and your edge is done. You dial in your edge angle from 85-90 degrees and let the electric powered fine grit diamond wheel work it's magic. I was impressed...... Found it on Amazon for $464 $550 locally At $60 for a pro tune I spend about $360 a season keeping 3 boards sharp and slippery so it would pay for itself almost in one season! https://www.amazon.com/Swix-Side-Edge-Power-Tuner/dp/B071HR4J78/ref=asc_df_B071HR4J78/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312525543805&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13420642138651558539&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9002384&hvtargid=pla-455710308470&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=61811965363&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=312525543805&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13420642138651558539&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9002384&hvtargid=pla-455710308470
