  1. Curtis, Just saw your email and sent you a text. The boots and f2 board are yours if the boots fit you. Let me know if you would be able to meet up later today or another time.
  2. So in the past few seasons I've switched primarily to being a smelly tele skier. And now I just accepted an overseas job, so I'm trying to thin out the rest of my quiver of skis/snowboards to only have a pair of all mountain/touring skis to bring with me. All of this needs to be gone by 23 January. I've been out of the snowboard world for a few years (freeing my mind by freeing my heel or something like that), so I'm not sure what's worth what, but I mostly just want it to be used. So pretty much any reasonable offers will be taken. I'm based out of Golden, CO, so it would be ideal to meet up in the front range or up in the mountains somewhere, but I can ship it if necessary at your expense. Feel free to make an offer to anything or combine with stuff for any reasonable offer. Thanks, Tony ***Update: Everything is sold, thank you all!!!** Boots: Burton Driver X (2008ish, us12/eu46, 50ish days, used but well kept) - $50 Raichle (old, not sure of model, approx. mondo29, buckle rivets a little loose but ok, liner is worn badly in heels) - free/shipping $ (pending sale) UPZ (2010ish, 10.5, 324mm shell, have at most 10 days on them, essentially new) - $175 (pending sale) Bindings: TD1 (w/a couple misc. risers/spacers, in good shape) - $40 F2 Race (at most 10 days, essentially new) - $75 (pending sale) Boards: both are pretty old, but have clean bases/decent edges, a bit dry from a few seasons in the closet, both w/decent camber left considering age 162 Volant SL - $40 ~180 F2 Speedster RS - $40 (pending sale)

  4. Last Friday at Keystone, courtesy of some guy at the base with a huge southern accent as I'm walking by him: "[wife's name] WHAT IN THE HELL IS THAT THING!?!?!"
  5. Is it solely a team thing like listed/on Echo's website or just individual racing and there is a team competition type thing? My friend and I will for sure be checking it out next week, we got busy with school stuff this week and didn't plan it out too well.
  6. I'm possibly going to head up as well, depends on if I can rally together some friends for a team.
  7. I picked up a 162 Volant for cheap before this season started that was virtually brand new as a budget SL board since I'm a poor college kid. I would agree that it's a decent ride. :)
  8. I'm most likely going to be heading up tomorrow and/or Tuesday. I don't really have any plans solidified yet as it depends upon what my friends feel like doing (since I'm not usually the one driving I don't really care where we end up). I would imagine most likely ABasin or Breck. I think I'm going to be on an alpine setup, not sure yet though, depends on what my friends want to ride I guess. But if anyone spots an old yellow F2 Speedster or an old Volant being poorly ridden by a tall guy in a black jacket--that will be me. :)
  9. I was at Keystone today with some friends who wanted to go there, and ironically... I didn't see a single person in the yellow jackets. Not at the slow signs. Not at the base. Nowhere. This is the first time that has ever happened, and I was rather surprised. Best of luck in resolving this Fin, I hope it turns out well. :)
  10. +1 for season pass. I usually bail after 2-3 runs if lift lines are 30min+, which can happen frequently early/late season Colorado. Or if it's super cold with bad wind chills. Either way, I usually take it as a sign that it's time for brunch/lunch and some drinks. :)
  11. Mine are slightly larger than my UPZ. I have size 30 Driver X's and 29/29.5 UPZ RTR's. It could probably go either way as far as being the same or slightly bigger. My feet are really wide in front so I think that is why I went with a 30 for the Driver X's. It was a few years ago though so I don't remember exactly.
  12. On my 167 Arbor Roundhouse I usually ride 18-24 in front, and 9-12 in back. Low enough that I don't get any overhang (or at least noticeable amounts, I don't really ride groomers with it) with my sz.29 boots, but aggressive enough that I can charge through pretty much anything. I find it works particularly well in moguls and tight trees. And of course, Driver X's work perfectly with it.
  13. Most likely 40-50 depending upon: -how my Chemical Engineering classes treat me -how crowded the slopes are -how many pow days there are -how persuasive my friends are Thankfully I'm only 50min from Arapahoe Basin, and 1hr 15min from Vail (assuming minimal traffic from Golden).
  14. I have a set of TD1's in good working condition that I would like to trade for a different binding, preferably something a little flexier. However, the primary reason is that my beautiful new UPZ RTR boots won't work with them. And the F2's that I have on my other board mate up really well with the UPZ's, hence, something softer would be nice. Included would be: all required hardware a few extra bolts if I can find them 0 deg plate/rings (purple I think) (2) 3 deg plates/rings (one set yellow, one set purple) 6 deg plate/rings (purple I think) I'm out of town at the moment, but will be home and able to provide pictures this weekend. So yeah, something that is a bit flexier and will work with UPZ boots will be nice. I have Mondo 29.5 boots so it will have to fit those, and I weigh 190#, so something decently durable. :) I'm not sure if people are still interested in TD1's, but thought I would put it up. Thanks, Tony
  15. Can all skwals be snowboards, but not all snowboards be skwals? Just like all squares are rectangles, but not necessarily vice versa? :)
  16. There's a good 2ft most places in Golden. Enough that apparently Mines thought that they should make a snowday. If I didn't have loads of Fluid Mechanics homework I would probably have gone to abasin. :(
  17. Would you be willing to sell the OS2s separate? I'm just over in Golden and could meet you sometime in the next day or two.
  18. +1 on the Arbor. I have the Roundhouse and absolutely love it.
  19. What's with the hate? I'm assuming it's from the clear lack of form. Whatever, like I said, we're both pretty new to hardboots. And the run was super torn up, which made lack of skills even more evident. If people don't like the apparel, oh well. There were other people in onesies riding around that afternoon. Nothing wrong with just goofing around with some friends for a few hours on opening day and having a good time.
  20. So my friend and I hit up Abasin's opening day last Friday, and naturally, wore the most ridiculous outfits we could put together. It was a great day and towards the end some photographer came up and asked if he could shoot some shots of us and post them online. I thought it was pretty cool that people so involved in the park scene were well aware of what we were riding, and even more cool that it was posted online. Pardon the poor form, last season was my first in hard boots, and I haven't been in hardboots since like early June. It was also the first day on my new-used old Volant 162 slalom board and it definitely took some fiddling with the setup to start figuring it out. Anyways, thought I'd share. :) http://snowboarding.transworld.net/photos/a-basin-colorado-opening-day/?nggpage=2&pid=37926
  21. I'm interested in the F2's. Do you have any more pictures? Also, it looks like the picture has 3-hole plates, would you have 4-hole?
  22. I have a 661 Pro Pressure Suit that I used to wear for downhill mountain bike racing a few years ago that I think I'm going to try for snowboarding. The pro version is really lightweight and super breathable as far as armor goes, and is a full jacket with all the assorted pads. I have a huge problem with overheating when I do physical activity (like on cold ski days I usually only have a base layer and then my Columbia winter coat and find that to be more than sufficient) and have never overheated with it, even during DH racing. I'd highly recommend it, although I don't have any practical use with it snowboarding, but it's very low profile and so I wouldn't consider it to be too obtrusive. Here's the cheapest I found it online just with a quick google. http://greenfishsports.com/product/468_472-upper-body-armor/1233-sixsixone-protective-gear-sixsixone-pro-pressure-suit.html
