  1. Thanks Gtanner. I'll check the local hardware store. Philips head and some locktite sounds better than trying to mail order a bolt.Paul
  2. Thanks LeeW. Tongue Mounting Bolt. That's the one.
  3. Well, late this afternoon, I thought something felt odd on my rear boot/binding on one of my last runs, but couldn't place what it was. When I removed my boots, I found that the black upper tongue was only held on by one bolt. So, I need to find one of those low height bolts that has the Torx screw head in stainless. I guess that the head isn't critical. Anyone been through this and found out where they are available from? Should I contact Dan Yoja?
  4. Appalachian ski area. I ride down to lift line area pretty fast. Liftie comes out of his hut, runs round to the lift-line and asks me what is all that setup. I explain how the plate works.
  5. On sat they had crescnt racing on one slope and an app ski team racing on a diff slope.
  6. Yes, 9.45am start time. Both divisions will be on one slope.
  7. I just looked up Scott's NASTAR run's this year and he was killing it for the first two runs. Last year he was ranked #1 nationally in NASTAR on a snowboard. 8. Get well soon Scott. It was great to race with you at last year's NASTAR nationals. Thanks for the clinic also. Paul
  9. Looking for a 4x4 4mm Bomber Boiler Plate, compete setup. (Lite's and 5mm not needed).
  10. I had a lot of fun at NASTAR nationals last year. They actually use the correct angled gates at Nationals also. At Nationals we had about 10-20 Alpine riders (guessing). It was a very good event, and great to meet some other racers.
  11. Looking at the Appalacian series (South East), we have one day of slalom racing, and one day of GS within 4.5 hours drive, and both of these are postponed. I checked last year, and there was one race I could attend. I've been doing Crescent Ski Council racing, which permit snowboard racers to race on a ski-oriented course. We only have a few snowboarders that race. I'm the only Alpine rider, but hoping to get more people into it. I got one of the other racers hooked up with an Alpine setup a couple of years ago - hope that she comes back and races with it.
  12. Wow, I'm envious. Come winter, I'm always trying to find some spare real-estate in the kitchen to set up my bench.
  13. 52 mph at Snowshoe Mtn, WV, timed using a portable GPS device.
  14. I bought them from a private sale. I have backups. So will deploy them next. Not sure who the manufacturer is. I expect I will transition my inventory to TD3's.
  15. Thanks Noir. I just picked up a set of roto tools using the discount. Score!
  16. You need a brass brush for old wax removal to expose the structure. You need a stiff nylon brush for post-waxing to again expose the structure. You can get a relatively cheap brush kit with 2-3 brushes in it. If you are taking this much care with pre-riding prep work, the next step is roto-brushes (to reduce time spent and improve finish), which is something I'm contemplating this year. It's lots of money though. Paul

  18. Thanks Fin. Looks real nice. I'm personally looking forward to figuring out what flex works best for me. Paul
  19. Oh nice. Will that be available soon? (the Boiler plate lite)
  20. WTB : SG 163 and 185 Full Race Titan Let me know if you have one of them and want to sell.
  21. Yes, I saw that earlier - very tempting.
  22. I'm all set now, thanks. I have what I need. Thanks for the various offers.
