  1. removed front binding on Burton flying V - now base high near nose - concave over center of board The board is fairly thin, presumably a compromise to lighten the board given that its a wide model board. It would appear that the base flatness is fairly altered by the application of the channel system bindings. Well there's a lesson there I'd say.
  2. Check here for your intec heels - http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?39871-Spring-Sale-(Madd-Proflex-Intec-heels-Booster-straps)
  3. Picked up a Wintersteiger True Bar this week to look at the board-bases. I decided to do a quick pass with the bindings installed on the boards (too lazy to remove the bindings for now). Here are my notes so far. (Obviously I'd repeat the tests with the bindings off before deciding to make any physical changes to the boards). Burton custom FV - it's quite concave near tail - could it be related to the ICS system causing point loading on the base? Lib Tech (4x4 mount) - fairly flat overall, little concave near tail Supermodel - also ICS - tail has some concave, flat otherwise SG 185 - perfectly flat apart from slight concave at nose decamber SG 163 - totally flat, apart from slight concaveness under bindings Sims Burner 197 - base high nose and tail, slight concave directly under bindings The oldest board here is the Sims Burner. The newest is the Burton Custom FV and the SG 185 - both 2 days of use so far. The Burton Custom FV has the worst non-flatness by far. I suspect that the channel system could be point-loading the middle of the base to produce such distortion. If that turns out to be the case, that would seem to be a big disadvantage of this system. Next thing to do is to remove the Burton Custom FV bindings and repeat the test.
  4. Everett, I'll take the TD2 step in's. I'll take the extra heel receivers also if the price is reasonable. Paul
  5. I don't have anything, that you'd want to trade for I'm guessing. Any particular reason for sale? I'm trying to find out availability/pricing of the 170 FR Titan. Haven't found one yet, so I have some mild interest in this.
  6. How much for a set of TD2 Step in's, (don't need Fin Tec's), shipped?
  7. Nice - looks like you are having fun. I'll bear that in mind if I decide I want to buy another one,
  8. Thanks for the various offers folks.
  9. Bryan - turns out I have found one, so please don't worry. Thanks for the offer.
  10. Bryan - can you send me pics?
  11. Still looking. Probably hard to find one of these used, I bet.
  12. Update - now looking for one 3-degree and two 6-degree cants.
  13. As mellow has learnt today i am a very relucant seller. I am not ready to part with the burner. Sorry for the tease.
  14. I have a Sims Burner 197cm that I could part with. PM me if interested.
  15. Hi "Mr John Deere". I will PM you to discuss details
  16. Bumpty-bump. Looking for one 0-degree, two 3-degree and two 6-degree cants. Paul
  17. For anyone looking for one, slidewright.com has the SVST World Cup sidewall planer for $129.99 w free shipping. I just ordered one up. They are listed as backordered, but they can get them fast (talked to them this week). I saw them listed at $180 on another site.
  18. What's the longest cm board that you would consider trading for?
  19. Thanks guys. I'm looking for the 170 as it has a 15.2m radius, which should be perfect for the application I have in mind. The FR 180 has a 19.2 radius. I also want the Titanal construction of the full-race. That 170 Full Carve does look very nice though.
  20. Looking to buy a SG Full Race 170cm. Standard topsheet or pro-team model. Ping me if you have one and want to sell it.
  21. I'm racing with different folks on different courses each week, so it's difficult to compare apples to apples, but this week, my times got worse (compared with others), with the 3 on front and 6 on rear. Of course that's only one factor. I run step-in's (TD2s), and I wonder if the heel being slightly high due to the step in interface might make it worth experimenting a little with different cant's (probably a 6 on the front might make sense) to level things out. I felt smooth on GS, and a bit jerky on a couple of gates on slalom. I might consider spreading my stance out a touch too; perhaps anyhow. Slalom I made 7th out of 9 in my flight of similarly handicap levels. GS times, I made 5th out of 9.
