  1. Stopped at a board demo day (LIb tech dealer), and half of the boards they were demoing were asymmetrical. Looks like this started up about in 2014. Oh boy, can we pull those old asyms out again? The boards feature a deeper sidecut on the heel-side. Tips and tails have various asym look to them, depending on how much the manufacturer is wanting it to look. An interesting development I thought.
  2. OK that sounds great. Yeah, I'll take the screws from Bomber if you are offering them. Paypal works for me. Let me know how to proceed.
  3. I took a good look today and found the engraved lines on the boot. Here's a pic for anyone interested in learning more. I think I will mark these with a black permanent marker for easier identification. I do like Corey's idea of doing it by feel. I knew my front boot was awry last Sunday, but didn't understand how to change things at the time. The pic is angled 90 degrees off. Not sure how to fix that.
  4. ....POST EDIT....I no longer have a need for this.
  5. Snowboardfast - sent you an offer on my WTB advert thread.
  6. Is there a forum to discuss site issues? Having difficulty with notifications and setting a profile photo.
  7. Thanks Kipstar. I'll take a look and see if I can find those lines. I'm a step-in guy, so don't tend to sit down / look at the boots too much.
  8. (Also, if it is helpful, I will be in Snowmass during the 2nd week of Feb - same time as SES 2016).
  9. Thanks for responding snowboardfast. I'd certainly be interested in buying the 2nd board kit from you. As you noted it has 2 missing bolts. I wish it had a single 3 or 6 degree cant (as I don't really want to run 0/0), but it doesn't. I'll make you an offer of $70 + shipping. Paul
  10. Purchased - TD3 2nd Board Kit BP Version. Thanks everyone!
  11. Going to kill this post, and start again. Thanks Corey!
  12. Gawd-dammit, you are right. Good catch, for a moment there I thought the center discs were identical.
  13. Jeez. Epic frustration with using these boots last weekend. My forward lean wasn't identical boot to boot. It's near impossible to see what's going on with it when you go from walk mode to ride mode. Maybe I should carry around a protractor to measure my boot lean (grin). So, I put the boots up on my board on the bench today and played with the lever, and moving it between the settings. As their web-page says, there are 4 positions. The lever evidently has some pin that engages one of the the holes in the track, that locks the boot into position. To go between lean positions, you have to pull down on the lever, lean the boot to a different angle, then let the lever go, and adjust the lean until the lever clicks into position. Most unfriendly really, but it's what we have got. Just glad I finally figured it out after 4 years of riding them. It would be super nice if the walk-mode was a different button, so you didn't have to find the correct lean mode setting each time you go back into ride mode.
  14. PLEASE IGNORE THIS POST. My needs have changed. This post is no longer relevant. Need two BP TD3 elastomers Need 1 x 0 degree BP cant Need 1 x 3 degree BP cant Need 1 x 6 degree BP cant These are the circular base parts designed for the Boiler Plate (and any plate I guess).
  15. Michelle -thanks for all of your help processing orders over all of these years, answering my questions. A big thanks for your help putting SES together. I have only been once but it was smoothly ran. You will be missed. I think we need a separate thread to find out what you are getting up to and how we we might find you in the future. Good luck with your future plans.
  16. It's fine. That's what I run with the standard base plates. I do like the newer plate specific base plates. I might switch mine over to those.
  17. Yes. Preferred the 4mm version. The 5mm was too stiff for my personal liking.
  18. Walking back to the car yesterday, a guy shouted from about 100' away "Hey, can I take a look at your Donek"? Ski buddy walking along with me checked his clothing to make sure all his zippers were done up.
  19. Want to buy boilerplate style zero degree cant plate. Must be in nice condition.
  20. How much fasterthanu? Any pics?
  21. Take a look over this thread. You might find it interesting. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?41709-Anyone-running-a-plate-for-slalom To summarize :- - VIST plate (or no plate) seems to be a popular choice for Slalom. I had good success abandoning using a plate for Slalom this year. I'm trying a VIST next season, and will report back then. - Some form of full isolation plate works well for GS. I like the 4mm Bomber Boiler Plate. To my eyes, there isn't a one plate optimal solution for these 2 types of boards, and there is a considerable amount of work to move the plate from one board to another.
  22. What lonboarding says++. A good bootfitter will build you a custom insole which will shrink the length and width of your foot, give you liner options, and then expand the shell to make it all work. Good luck and bring a good amount of money to make this all happen.
  23. Any interest in TD2 standards? If so, PM me.
  24. Ping me if you like through the messaging service. I'm over in Durham, NC.
