So, I'm very pleased with it. I've had two good days on it now. First was with my old Burton C60 bindings, carbon highbacks, and today, with the new NX2 Carbons.
I had to spend some time dialing in the fit with the new bindings, bit more to go still - had some difficulty getting my foot back in (highback up) without loosening. I'm sure it just needs some tweaking of the adjustments as well as me getting used to the insertion techniques.
For the board itself, I was able to confidently rail it. It's stiff enough and tracks well. Still learning it compared to my true alpine boards, but it's confidence inspiring.
I would advise to go with a longer size as others suggested to me as well. The effective edge is not as long as some of the comparables, so sizing up will help. That said, I'm happy with the 158 as this will end up being my all around freeride, all mountain deck and I don't need anything as long as my pure carving boards.
Also, no need to pay full price. Seems they are readily available at a sizeable discount, particularly older model years, so shop around. I don't think they've changed anything but graphics/colors since they were originally released.
As far as finish, I am thinking it's a bit on the more fragile side. Some light nicks already appearing on top sheet. But if you can find a deal like they were being sold at PRFO, a Canadian shop, where they were last sold at C$435 or ~US$325, you won't feel so bad if it gets scratched
