  1. WTB: soft red UPZ TONGUES size SMALL MP23-26 I'm trying to soften my kid's UPZ's to get more flex! Do you have ANY (NON-SWINGING OR SWINGING) tongues available? Thank you! RJNakata (art) aol (dart) com
  2. My daughter, with similar stats as @Jack M's athlete above uses nearly the same setup with a Donek Pilot (now "Talon") 152 & 157 . Both are also great boards for that weight range. She loves hard and soft setups depending on conditions (and who she's riding with) and carves like crazy in both. For me hardboots opened a whole great world of snowboarding...@Aquarifaerigo for it!
  3. Here is another version of the stop that I had at one time. the hex screw makes it micro adjustable. Not mine:
  4. OR widen the Bomber/F2 Steel receiver slots to accommodate Catek spacing. Fintec heels quickly gouge aluminum receivers. Intec heels do not.
  5. The "Fuego" method works great for Deeluxe (most sizes) and UPZ size M28 and up. How it works for UPZ M28 is binding dependent. For MP 24-27, UPZ's used with F2's, SG's and TD3 variants (standard and Step in) are not conducive to centered boot bias - ie toe/heel even over the edges as measured by the Fuego method shown in vid above. This occurs especially at the front foot. For MP 24-27 UPZ's either ride with toe back from board edge and heel even with the edge, or mod the binding to move the boot forward. I hear using Intecs instead of Fintecs can help minutely since the pins are located slightly back of Fintecs.
  6. I seriously never thought it would happen...
  7. Yes currently, please PM me if interested.
  8. ^ great idea! It might be too much to ask but make the base plate usable with TD3 (or other thick) elastomers somehow, thus adding more cushioning to the OS1. Wow I wonder if a "superbinding" could be produced using the best parts from various bindings with a few newly designed parts to tie them together...
  9. See an MK in action at MCC! 0:59 to 1:13 Montucky Clear CUT 2021 Daily Rub In...day 1
  10. ^ this was key for me. Ever since getting footbeds and moulded liners I can ride all day in comfort - no pain no issues. My foot doesn't get crushed by a strap and poor arch support. On a side note: Will alpine boarding solve foot arch problems? It may/may not for you, but it can certainly solve a lot of OTHER (life) problems!...and it can add a huge new dimension to your world of snowboarding.
  11. No self respecting person would do that.
  12. ^ Truth Add: Bring an on-hill repair kit...expect to loose a part at the most inopportune time.
  13. SOLD SOLD: Coiler VSR 180 + APEX V.2 plate - UPM COILER VSR 180: both 4x4 & UPM pattern. [T180 VSR M+P F 012 CDB 6.7+8] - 20 cm waist. Average 14 SCR. This is a metal board. Made for 160-180#. Board is in super shape, a few very light scratches on top & bottom. Full edges and sharp. "Diamond Plate" pattern topsheet artwork. A very forgiving ride especially with the plate. It turns very nicely without a lot of effort. It works very well without plate, but the plate takes it to the next level. APEX RACE PLATE V.2 - UPM mounts, near perfect condition. All parts and mounting screws included. No defects, no issues whatsoever. Works with UPM mounting pattern only. Check the REVIEW: Apex Race V2 ASIP on this forum. These two work together like bread and butter and I'd like to keep together, but will sell separately if I have two confirmed buyers. $700 for both / $350 + shipping at cost, for each Paypal f&f or venmo PM or email me at rjnakata (art)aol (dart) com. Let me know if you'd like more photos
  14. Do you have a set of INTEC cables you can spare...mine show fraying. Thanks! RJNakata (at) aol (dot) com
  15. Like this - Catek FR2. They adjust like Catek OS2 alpine bindings. A rare find these days.
  16. Got it: Burton cant puck 4x4 I'm looking for one of these in 4x4. Do you have one? I just cant ride flat anymore on my soft bindings. Thanks, PM or RJNakata (eat) aol (dot) com
  17. WTB: UPZ RC-12, MP 26.0 newish Did your newer UPZ's in MP 26.0 not work for you? I'm interested! PM or email me at RJNakata (ape) aol (dart) com
  18. WTB: Burton Step-on set w/ size 8.5 boots. What with the kids into it, I'm spending more time in soft than ever before (I didn't even have a soft setup until 3 years ago!), but I hate the "strap-on, strap-off" PM me or RJNakata (ate) aol (deet) com
  19. SOLD: Donek MK 161, 18cm waist An amazing tight turning board. It grips like crazy and makes me (look like) a better rider whenever tip it on edge. It's very versatile I found: tight, large, fast slow etc. Sean Martin says "9ish" SCR, or "turny" on the Donek.com website here. Superb condition. Topsheet has only a few minor marks. Original Donek structure on the base, edges are full width and sharp. The base is near perfect with 1-2 minor scratches. No binding marks. Cross posted on FB, but I should have started here. $675 INCLUDING SHIPPING TO USA, paypal f&f or Venmo PM me or RJNakata (art) aol (dart) com
  20. I don't have any, but a photo posted here of your remaining binding would be very helpful to identify what you need. There are so many variants of early Burton plates. They are out there.
  21. I'm looking for you beat up Bomber BTS. I don't need your extra mint beauties. thanks! PM or email at RJNakata (art) aol (dart) com
  22. While I do a lot of skidding and slarving what keeps me doing the same local "testpiece" run over and over has to do with something like this: The Perfect Lap Maybe once, or maybe never in a day do I get it just right, but when I do it makes me keep coming back and back and back. The other thing I have to do, especially on new terrain, or a new day is "preview" the run once or twice before feeling comfortable enough to try a carving run. I just sort of skid through it. I want to see if there are any ruts or merges or obstructions I should be aware of. Only with a preview do I feel comfortable to trust enough to go for it. That's just me.
