Oshawa ski club admin@oshawaskiclub.com If you know any marketing people they are advertising for a position to manage their name change and re-branding? A huge challenge with the present economy.
  2. At about same situation with my wife still married 30 yrs. You are treading dangerous waters here my boy. Either she will love you for your help or ??Better get engaged then continue with lessons. Does she use protection ? Nothing personal but this past weekend saw my wife coveting my wrist guards they are hers now .tailbone protection next. That extra protection really helped with the confidence to push a little harder.A little more confidence a little more speed better linked turns:biggthump, your a hero. Good Luck to you both!

Snowshoe couple "ordered off" walking from chalet to chalet across bottom of hill . Members refused permission to ski on short skis.Cut off skis with binding and brakes, ground and sanded no sharp edges. This place needs help "looking for marketing exec".Should i make it an issue or let it slide pretty soon they will be dictating what brand i have to ride. Help:argue: Kids were refused access to lifts after liftie saw their skis and called the manager he determined they weren't safe ?? they were shortened alpine skis with binding and brakes ,ends were ground and sanded with no sharp surfaces. The snowshoers were walking the same path pedestrians walk to access the other chalet. The kids are alpine boarders and ex ski racers they participated the day before in a railjam. Should one question these decisions by the managment of a member owned club whose membership has gone from 6000 to under 3000 ? personally its nice to ride when its empty but if they keep chasing people away it might not be around to enjoy ?
  4. Had a teenage girl standing on unloading ramp of chairlift texting a message good thing she wasn't plugged into tunes as well never would have heard us comming because she sure wasn't aware where she was.
  5. my experience is if you rely on just one sense to play safe your riding a few cents short of a full dollar !:AR15firin
  6. The difference now is that you can fall asleep on skis today and still carve, try that on a heavily cambered straight ski 215 cm long and you will end up going straight to the hospital.
  7. DR. D did you ever detune that front edge or are you saving it to carve up people in your way?? Bruce built a wicked toy with that one . saw him ripping the gates today at caledon he had tha advantage of last man through the gates he didn"t seem to ease off a bit. won the podium but didn't stay for the glory probably behind in his work!
  8. Your pretty brave to air a fauxpas like this ! care to share a picture of youself carving an imperfect arc as well! enjoy the tunes but watch your heel side turns you will never hear them comming.
  9. Whenever someone cuts me off, getting on the lift, getting off the lift, just getting down a crowded run I'm definitly #5 sorry ,sorry, sorry, have to stop being so polite and run a few over.:):)
  10. anyone interested in a policy ???
  11. "you have the right to remain silent" even a cop will tell you that! I'm not ashamed to tell a fellow boarber to do the same better to dig your way out of a small hole rather than a deep one . I assume this incident took place will no criminal intent therefore the best way to handle it is by being truthfull not stupid! get a lawyer.
  12. you paid for the gas to wash their parking lot ? If they ie. "the gas barrons want us to pay and pump" i think its only fair to accept the liability should "accidents happen".If the spiggot breaks off the bear barrel is it my fault? My wife still refuses to pump gas she will gladly get head first filthy on a post mortem but won't pump gas go figure?
  13. wifes purse on the way to tremblant nice waitress at Tim Hortons held on to it till she claimed it. Dodged a bullet on that one.Hats mitts gloves? thats what lost and found lending box is for isn't it ?
  14. Had an old cougar refuse to let me ride 4th on a 4 man chair " I was on a carving board".Send those kids to the oshawa ski club they know how to take the smile off anyones face !!

  17. Russians have beat you to it Huge ice breaking barge:AR15firin
  18. Why not create an aluminum plate to widen stance drill and tap plate to accept binding and fasten plate with countersunk holes so they don't interfere with bindings have done this with success.
  19. Kildy told me that if you ever race with it make sure you end the race on the bottom portion the top doesn't slide very well
  20. is coiler still available ?
  21. Great idea on the demo list ! Love to compare it to a double camber and a kildie flex!
  22. If you have access to a drillpress and a die grinder you can put a taper on the underside of the screw heads by putting the screws in the press and grinding off excess with die grinder while rotating screws in drillpress if not punching washers into a convex shape will preserve the integrity of you heal and toeplates while waiting on the final fix .Nice to see someone willing to try their own fix. :biggthumpStill think the bear can shims would work nicely no flex as you might have with plastic and minimum rise necessary to clear bale interference.
  23. Have ridden double camber asym off and on and have found it very stable on flat and through transition had asked Bruce V about it he said ne hadn't built or ridden one would love to try and talk him into it .
