    Yo Lci!!

Hey, if you can make it here from NY this weekend, I'll meet you at the shop! Or are you in town?

    Yo Lci!!

NoirX252, We of course do sell them but that will not help you now. But you can do this: buy a 5mm machine screw from your hardware store that is long enough to go through the boot and adjuster. Then buy a nut as well and capture it with that. The pin that goes in there in 5mm in diameter so it works great. That should get you though the weekend.
  3. It is, but I would point out how little support they give the sport itself and those in the industry. stokely, VERY nice website Is that your work or you just supporting it? I like the clean/simple look. Great support for the sport and all those in it. Thank you for all the kind plugs as well. Cheers.
  4. Bobby, thanks for the heads-up. Yea, we are hearing it is BIG change in how it all works. However, when you upgraded from 4.X to 5 did most of your settings, templates, etc. come through fine? Or did you have go back in and "fix" a bunch of stuff? The issue we have is we like 4.x just fine. However, word is it has major security holes and can be hacked. And we have, twice now. So 5 takes care of the security issue. FloBoot, yea, that page is now fixed. Should be good to go. Fin
  5. Hey guys, good feedback and yes, we are thinking we need to go to VB5 to at least fix the security issues we currently seem to have. But then I hear the stories of issues with going to VB5. Can you guys give more details on the issues and problems we might expect?
  6. Made with sugar and spice. Then bring to a boil..... :p
  7. Fixed! Yea, weird, all they did was change the index file. Left the original there. Back in business but need to find out how to make it more secure.
  8. Talked to John the other day as he was hiding in his tent next to some lake outside of Anchorage (I think). Sounds like he is having a blast even though a tad wetter than anticipated. He said he can literally feel Winter chasing him south as he exits the state. Rubber side down John!
  9. Just jumping in to clarify: the "Mathilda" plate was code name I gave to an earlier version of the Boiler Plate a couple of years ago. It had a lot more "twist" ability in it and was easier to pedal steer. That was a few years ago and all plates now have that especially the new Boiler Plate 2 coming out this season. Keep in mind there are two distinct ways to do the plate: full isolating and semi isolating (at least what I call them). Easy to identify in that if the way the hardware works you still have to flex/bend something (like the plate itself or something in the hardware) that is semi-isolating. If the plate is completely decoupled from the board mechanically (think full suspension bike) that is full isolating. This can be a big difference in the way the system feels and performs.
  10. Dang, this is the first time I have heard of this..... ;)
  11. Cannot remember who had the video of Helmut Karvlow stacking it hard at Copper Bowl/Aspen mnt during the 2013 SES. Who has it and where is it?
  12. A collection of pictures and video links from the 2013 SES. If left something out, put'er in! 13. It is that time to get ready for the bad-ass 2014 Summit Expression Session (SES) on Feb 1st - 7th, 2014. This is the largest collection of carvers for North America and it takes place at the premier carving resort, Aspen, Colorado. We spend 6 days (there is one off day) tearing the hell out of the four resorts at Aspen with evening activities to keep you on your toes. This event is for all ages and abilities. This is not a competition or race, true to the term "session", just show up and ride. There will be some FREE clinics through out the week. This is the 14th year for the event and it just gets bigger. Keep in mind the event is free to all, just show up and ride. However, we do have some excellent group rate multi-day tickets as well as packages for those who just want to make it easy. Go here: 2014 SES Website To get more information and purchase passes and packages. Don't forget there is our huge end of the week party where we give away WAY too much gear from our sponsors. You gotta be there for that. Want to see how last years SES went? Full picture gallery here 2013 SES Picture Gallery. Make sure to "subscribe" to this thread as we will post updates and changes as we get closer. If you have a question on the event, ask here in this thread as there are probably others with the same question. You are also more than welcome to e-mail us directly at bomber@bomberonline.com. Either myself or Michelle will help you out. There is also a thread HERE just for seeing if someone needs a ride or you can give a ride to the event as well as share housing if needed. Make plans NOW! No more waiting, no more excuses. You have wanted to come to this for years and you know it. So get the time off, book the flight, and we'll see you in February in Aspen!
  14. Just an FYI for all: the forum has been acting strange last week or so. Thread responses are being dropped for no apparent reason and sometime they come back and sometime they do not. We are not sure what is going on but we are looking into it. Most likely we just need to do some "upkeep" and get the forum back up running smooth. So we are working on it and not just removing responses randomly!
  15. Randy, You have no worries with the e-ring material as far as drying out or rotting. It is a very tough material that we spec for that and in the years we have used had no issues with degrading. That said, the board guys might have something to say about leaving bindings on for extended times. Bottom line, I would just loosen the screws and remove the tension and not have to worry about it. BUT, make sure to tighten before use again!
  16. My favorite "gem" is Grand Targee. Had some of the best carve days there many years ago. No crowds, tons of groom, WAY out in no-where land. Only issue was fog.
  17. Alan, Dang, sorry to hear about the injury. Will you be able to join us in the northern hemi in our winter?
  18. kieran, I assume you mean the Cant Disks? If so that would be a very hard part to make from composites like CF. That part has a lot of interface with other parts, lots of threaded holes, teeth for the center disk, etc. And it's weight is relatively much less that the adapter plate that goes on top of it. In other words return on weight savings not as high. I suppose we would start with the plate and go from there.
  19. svr, Well, I would be lying if I said we have not thought about doing this. So the answer is, yes, we are looking into this. Agree the weight savings would be significant and there are some very nice performance gains with the carbon-fiber as well as it does a better job of dampening than aluminum. And it would just be cool :D Issue is to make the jump to a CF product take a pile of time and money as there is hard tooling involved and quite a bit of testing and trial and error to get the final product. So it will bea while to get this going.
  20. dbmgreen, The Bomber Power Plate has infinite adjustment as far as angles go. You actually set your soft binding on them at 0 degrees, and then rotate the Power Plate to where you want. So yes, it would give a binding that may have limits on angles the ability to go to any angle now.
  21. Nice video Spin! I have always wanted to see some VERY slo-mo video done with camera attached to board looking at the nose. I want to see how much movement there really is at the higher frequencies. Thanks again for sharing.
  22. We at Bomber, are very sad to hear this news. Dick has been a fixture at the Session for quite some time now. Will not seem the same without him. Dick was very soft spoken but made his statement with his presence. Just the fact he would show up and ride was something a guy half his age would always come up with reasons not too. When we had legal issues with F2 many years ago he was very helpful and supportive during that. His calls and support made those times easier. And of course, we need to thank him for his gift he gave all of us by serving in WW2. Last of a great generation. Thanks again Dick and ride that never ending groomer for all of us.... (Dick (right) at SES)
  23. This is a huge loss of a great guy and an advocate for hard booting. We worked with Doug to get him a small fleet of boots he could use to get people to try the sport. He would take his own time to go out and show people how to use the gear. He was doing this at both Mnt. Rose (Tahoe) and Bachelor over the many years we knew him. Always optimistic and had a smile on his face. Loved the sport and was always doing something crazy and trying new things. Below is a picture of him water skiing with a full alpine set-up! And another of him in our shop with his HUGE quiver of crazy decks that barely fit though our door. And amazing guy that we will miss. You are now an Arc Angel Doug.....
