  1. Pow, I have a few symmetrical boards in the quiver. Just got a Virus Terminator Carbon Edition from Thor that I can't wait to ride... I am over here on the narrow icy east coast too(CT). I have only used the Donek up at Stratton, and it performed super-well on a crummy day. The conditions ranged from sloppy slush to extremely hardpack, and the board never flinched. I know you are looking for energy in and out of the turn, so maybe Virus, Madd, and Pogo ain't so bad, they are some of the snappier boards around. Doesn't Donek have a program where you can demo the board too? Demo one and see where you are before you go out and order one. Try looking for a used one. I got a good deal in the classifieds here. Anyway you cut it, I think a 175 with a 6.5-8 flex rating and a sidecut between 12 and 14 will make you very happy. Where on the east coast are you? We are gonna have to ride next season...
  2. I have a 175GS 18.5, stiffness is a 7.0 supposedly. I weigh in around 160-170ish, and this thing rides REAL smooth. I think anywhere in the 6.5-7.5 range will be nice for you. How stiff do you want it?
  3. I can buy a lot of 5 Crazy Banana Asyms for $165ish. And all of those are never ridden, never drilled, in MINT condition. :smashfrea:smashfrea:smashfrea:smashfrea
  4. I made an offer of $100 shipped for the Burton. I was told it wanted to be sold for more like $250. Just putting it out there so you know what kind of offer to make. A little much in mind's eye... No dueling asyms, yet...
  5. I ride goofy. Some of my buds that I board with ride regular though. I know I could always get a symmetrical board for them to try out, but it would also be sweet to get two PJ's carving at once. One regualr, one goofy.

    Avatars ?

A few message boards won't even allow you load an animated gif for an avatar or a signature. I like it though, I kept on thinking you were going to skid once and eat it, but you just keep on keepin on...
  7. Thanks for the update Thor. I am anxious for the pics and to finalize things.
  8. Asym burton.... Email me photos. acepha@gmail.com
  9. Thinking of getting infected... Sent you an email.
  10. Well, like I said, he is a new carver. Right now he is on a Liquid 171 freeride board. Size 13 boot BTW, so the wider the better. I don't think he is going to be extremecarving anything soon, but I just wanted to get him on something that can carve. Custom is the way to go, with most things. I don't see him spending $600+ on a board anytime soon, so, I am keeping my eyes for something. I was tempted to pull the trigger on that Oxygen board, but its too narrow... And yes Mark, it is for the big guy we rode with at Stratton...
  11. Snowblind Cookie Cutter ..or any other Snowblind product An Oxess would work too...
  12. There is a "new" Oxygen Proton GS on Ebay, 185cm. Can anyone comment on this board? Wish is was a little wider... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180231671982&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=008
  13. My friend is very interested in getting into carving. He is a good 275lb, 6'4" I think. Big feet. Any suggestions?
  14. The answer to everything annoying, uncalled for, and stuff you just can't control---> "THE WONDERS SHALL NEVER END"
