  1. I think the magna traction is great.. for people that like to know that their edge will hold when they hit a patch of ice. the thing is, they are probably not in a body position that allows good edge hold in the first place. So the board will help. the theory is great and lib tech is selling the tech. I do know that not one of the serrated edge boards will hold as well as my alpine board. If you can get on top of you're edge, you will not slide on ice/boiler plate. Oh yeah, I saw the sharpening tool they use for the edges. Its pretty silly. might as well just sharpen where the board hits the snow anyway.
  2. Steph and I will be out first thing, and hopefully shaggy will join us as well. We will be in the lodge, boards against the window
  3. they have been getting snow, even today they were getting snow. It may have briefly changed over to ice pellets, but I know it is going to turn back to snow again. it will be stellar conditions as usual!
  4. I checked and sure enough, I bought the other stuff. after a little hunting today, I scored the good stuff from a glass shop. He had enough laying around for me to make two for my SG:lol:. thanks for the concern blue b. It would have been interesting having a spacer explode under my feet!
  5. Todd, see you in the am. alex and I will be out. hopefully steph too. If we miss you Ill be in the bar at lunch time. looking forward to checking out the donek plate!
  6. just curious, have you had those bindings mounted like that to the board since you bought?
  7. I have been going through this myself!! If you have one, a vist plate would be good. other wise, the catek polycarbonate spacers are a good way to keep from point loading. Due to diffuculty of reaching catek, I made my own. You can get the plastic from home depot (believe it or not). It's the same stuff. just make a template, cut it out, round alll the edges off (so you don't point load there either), and mark/drill holes. don't push hard when drilling plastic, it tends to shatter on the bottom if you do, just let the bit do the work. For hardware, you will need m6x18, or m6x20 depending on you're equipment (go to mcmaster.com). I just got a 185t myself an installed these spacers on there (I of course have cateks:eek:) so the evil metal bindings are on my metal boards. I won't go into my thoughts on that but, make the spacers, it was very easy. If you can't, contact me, I could sell you a set of mine
  8. Sorry. Saw that u have fixed the problem. Intecs should be kinda tight too I do think the soft rubber soles played a part. Glad u r getting it figured out
  9. Take the set screw out of the toe bail and insert it in the other direction. The head of the screw will be on the top of the bAil. Then adjust the bail height in relation to you're boot. If you must, attach a zip tie to the bail to aid in release. If you are booting out , turn up the angles! It probably played a part in the problem. I doubt the binding is the problem. I use these on all My boards. I do think that head boots are not the most desirable. If u were gonna get anything, I think it would be a different boot. Go over the boot bindig interface carefully. I would not want to blow out of the bindings either!!! Good luck.
  10. Thanks but the volkl boards are too soft for me
  11. Need a slalom board for this season. I weigh 190, and the board needs to have 4x4 inserts. Thanks
  12. easy... i plan on adjusting it. I wanted to see what people think about the differences. I have yet to step on one, and really only want to use it for racing.
  13. Due to recently racing again, I'm about to start riding on a vist plate. Who likes to ride with the front or back locked, and why.
  14. Got My stuff today, thanks for the fast shipping:biggthump
  15. do hangle and vist plates have the same bolt pattern? if not, can you're local shop (a skilled tech) drill and install inserts to accept a vist plate?
  16. thanks for the replies. I'm considering buying a set for racing. I assume the F2 is quite a bit lighter than catek os2's. are they more like burton plates or sno pro's?
  17. Just to clarify. I can achieve toe lift and heel lift with what is included with the bindings
  18. do the F2 bindings have the ability to add toe/heel lift, to the front and rear foot?
  19. 150 shipped. Ill take it. don't take this as a low ball. they are dated plates. send me an email if you wanna talk.
  20. Why do gs boards have such a large side cut? You are trying to get down a course where the gates are pretty close to each other.
  21. Does the board have 4 hole Pattern as well as vist holes?
