  1. $215 shipped to you're zip
  2. is a 1 degree base bevel too much for a slalom board (in the race course)?
  3. We could. It would b almost a wash in gas. But give me a call 631-748-7882 eric. Thanks
  4. I bought this plate last season off another Bol to race on my slalom. after 2 or 3 days I decided to ride with the bindings direct mounted. It was just not something I wanted to invest my time into re-learning to ride with a plate, so here it is. It is in perfect working shape. all hard ware is there to lock the back and float the middle front. nothing is stripped. The previous owner shaved a small amount of material off the sides to allow use on a more narrow board. $225 inlcuding shipping in the lower 48
  5. what model year, and pics please
  6. first glad you are ok. I bought a new kessler last year and when looking into them I remember that the metal top sheet board seemed to be prone to breakage. thats not to say the newer ones wont have an issue but the deck is an amazing race board and I certainly hope I do not have the issue you have experienced.
  7. Do u still have the board for sale? If so how much are u asking?
  8. Frank built me a tantalus evo 2. It has metal under foot, and i guess carbon in front and back, with whatever else he puts in the board. I specified how tight of a trail I would be carving, weight, ablility level, etc. it is an amazing board. think is was 1700 shipped. i cant explain how that board is under my feet. once you learn how to ride it, the board gives a stability level i have never felt on any other board. I highly recommend the tantalus shape!!!!
  9. Are F2 bindings prone to breakage?
  10. what size is the binding? 2010 model ? or older. what is approx. year of board? Thanks
  11. I want to detune some more of the nose (and probably tail) of my slalom board. its a 2010-11 kessler. any idea as to how far I should go down the edge? any info would be appreciated.
  12. Don't let the low angles dictate the board you buy. You can adjust. I'm not saying that a 17 waist is for you, but a 19.5 waist is still wide and stable. do what you think is best but If you want a carving board, get one. a 4wd (or similar) is just not gonna hold the edge like a real carving board will (I'm sure people will disagree). upper 170's with a 10.5 or so sidecut would be a nice way to go(coiler fc or similar). buy a used board or two. people give great stuff away on the classifieds. you can always sell something you don't like. that way you can try some different brands, instead of throwing down a g on a custom. Wait on the custom. with my experience, custom is something you want to do when you are certain about what you like. If you are set on having a wide carving board, then maybe the swoard is for you. hope you find what you're looking for.
  13. I think you're body position is off in the picture. it looks like you are in the back seat, because the right shoulder is behind you. that twisting is in the wrong direction. You should to rotate you're shoulders into to the turn more and attempt to grab the toe of you're front boot. by putting you're arm down there, you are able to pressure the edge more efficiently. Get the "ice coast" style down first, then the EC carving should be easier to achieve.
  14. what is the number on the side of the shell? its in "mm". you will see it near the bottom of the boot in the middle. thanks
  15. I'm in too. add me, Eric Whittelsey. thanks
  16. are you guys setting gates tommorow and saturday? Wondering whether i should come up.
  17. Carving party on sunday. starts early. hope to see some alpine boards. monday will have a small contingent as well :)
  18. can u post some pics of the boards?
  19. Get yourself a cheap dial caliper. the bottom of it had a small pin so when you move the caliper, the pin comes down. you can measure the insert depth of the board. also with the other end of the tool, you can measure thickness of binding. you don't want to bottom out the threads, so get a couple of mm smaller. Mcmaster carr sells the hardware you need of course you can do some guessing too. stick the screw thru the binding, see how much is sticking out the bottom, you need at least a couple of threads. you don't wanna strip the insert out
  20. Ive been riding os2's on my ride timeless for a while, same boots as i carve with. no problems, instant happiness. no need for special gear.
