I will offer you $100.00 + shipping to portland oregon . Let me know if this will work . Thanks Jim
  2. I bet you could get a pretty big group of riders gunning for that 1st snow. I have seen meadows open up as early November 5th and late as ? (much later). Lets plan on it if mother nature cooperates with us. Anyone going to Warren Miller this year? Jim
  3. Way to go Eric, good post ! Did you hike up to the lift ? Arent you working right now, better get back to slinging drugs....legally that is (Rph) Jim :D
  4. I understand the unisex idea, but I have 2 girls and the hardest part has been finding something with that femine touch. Most of the boards Gart has are he-manish except a last years burton made for girls at $160. They also have a couple oxygen protons that are 134 and 149 in length.(priced very cheap at $55 and $39) I might just pick these up cause the price is so low ? I think the House has 2 stores, one in Hood River and one in Minnepolis (used to live there) . I will have to check them out ... Thanks, JIM
  5. Hey what size board would you get for 6yo girl ? Our Gart sports has lots new old boards for $59-79.... 115 or 121 or what ? My daughter is tall for her age.:D :D JIM
  6. Sounds better than working (which I was). Maybe next time I will go with you . Do they still have camps running or can you use the snowfield? Jim :p :p
  7. And if your not selling the whole kit but just the main piece I am interested (I have a 2nd board kit and hardware ) Jim
  8. I measured the Ride , It has a 19.5 waist width. It is still a sweet all-around board although well used and t-bolted . see pics Jim
  9. I have a Ride Kildy 169 I use for a early season rock board and mountaineering . I not even sure what year it is ... Jim
  10. Mike , If you buy one of $149 passes will it work now ? Jim
  11. Thanks , let me know what you find ... Jim
  12. Any chance you could pick up 2 more sets ? I am coming up next weekend .... I could pick them up from you then and also bring Byrans sets down (oldsnowboard) .... Jim
  13. Hey what are those drake kids plates like? I am coming up to tacoma from pdx this weekend and would be interested in 2 sets for my daughters... Let me know where this is or if they still have any ... Jim
  14. Tim , I have found a few people for our group#2 , but now I have to start a group #3 for a couple of coworkers . Still need 2 more people... I have Tim, Sirdoofus, sirdoofus's friend X, Eric P , Alan , and myself . Anyone else out there? Jim
  15. I still do not understand the issues about ECES ......perhaps it's an east coast thing. I guess I looked at an old post...sorry Jack. Perhaps we can have the Meadows AES on the old dates of the ECES since it is still in question? Its not like that many from the NW had plans to attend (other than Mike T) anyways.... Jim
  16. Mike , I am willing to help you with anything to make this years carvefest a international event . Let me know if there is anything I can do . I would be glad to host a Portland apres-board session at my house on one of the nights. I guess it is never too early to plan.... Current dates of carving events SES ---- Feb 14-18 ECES --- march 7-13 MHES--- May 13-16 (winter Mt hood Meadows Event by Byran TBA) Wow, this is most action I have ever seen this early, I guess you all have new equipment that you want to try out ? Jim :)
  17. Do you still have the world cups ? Are they the long plate ? Any pics ....you have to resize them super small to post them here.. Jim
  18. Byran, I would interested in helping you set up a Winter session at Meadows this year . The NW seems to have a good population of carvers now that would support this. You seem to know alot of the meadow workers . I would love to ride my first carving board ...a burton sarfari 165 with burton variplates and modified rachlie flexon ski boots. I was riding this as my powder board back when i first met you ....1994. Jim
  19. Hey Tim, We need to find one more person... I will try at work tomorrow (emanuel hospital). I would send out a global email but our IR dept frowns on that kind of use. Thanks Byran for sending Tim my way . Jim

    Heli-Boarding

I did a snowcat trip last year in BC with monashee powder adventures and had a great time and it was a whole lot cheaper than a heli trip. We had 2 cats, one w/ skiers and one with mostly boarders. I am going again to there new area which is next to Mike Weigles bc heli area. You might want to check them out. The new area is called Anstey and I am going in mid-march w/ hardboots and a Tanker 2k. http://www.monasheepowder.com/ansteysched.html I have heard good things about this heli place in valdez.... http://www.h2oguides.com/ Jim
  21. Yeh, those are tinkler plates. The guy who makes them lives in the Hood River area of oregon. I rode the chair a few times with him this last year at Mt Hood Meadows. I think his name is Mike Tinkler and makes/invents things out of carbon fiber. He used to sell something called snowsticks to stiffen boards back in the day when burton ruled alpine in the US. I had a friend who used them on his factory prime and they worked great. He mentioned something this last year about possibly making custom boards. I know makes a few custom boards for anton pogue and another female racer. Jim
  22. What days are you thinking ? I might be talked into it .... Jim
  23. Here is a pic of the one I installed . I bought the chair off ebay , It was from Aspen origonally . Jim
